Good Morning Morons: today is Sunday, November 11, 2018, Memorial Day. Friday I asked how different history would have been if Hitler had been arrested and shot for treason after the Beer Hall Putsch. Well on this date in 1923 Hitler was arrested in Munich for high treason for his role in the Beer Hall Putsch. Well he was arrested and tried but they did not execute him.

Trump is rightfully blaming CA for poor forestry practices that are causing all these massive out of control forest fires. Forest fires have been around since the beginning of time but early man saw the need to burn out and cut lower growth to prevent them from becoming huge conflagrations that burned everything. But early man did not bow down and kiss the asses of stupid people who worshiped Gaia. Trump is now telling CA if they don't clean up their act he will cut off federal funding. Shit, he should have done that his first day in office.

From a cooking site:
Many times the names "sweet potato" and "yam" are used interchangeably in conversation, in cooking and even at the supermarket, but they are really two different vegetables. Although they are both root vegetables, they belong to two different plant families--the sweet potato is from the morning glory family while the yam is related to the lily. Yams are sweeter than the sweet potato, grow much larger and are alsonutritionally inferior. They looked young and I couldn't but believe there had to have been sex trafficking going on. I prefer tarts behind glass at the bakery.

Maybe we should change the name of this nation to Browardia. They can also be empowered to elect the President by popular vote. Just produce more votes than there are people in the US and they can always safely seat their candidate. The RNC will keep saying "Darn! Outvoted again! Why does this keep happening to us?" Maybe it's time for us to have another Revolutionary War ... against Broward county.

Morning everyone!
The confusion about yam and sweet potatoes is really a marketing thing.. What you may call a yam is really a variety of sweet potato.. a softer variety. The original sweet potato is harder. When they developed a softer strain, they needed to differentiate it from the regular sweet potato, so they stuck the yam name on it. A real yam is something 99% of us has never seen.. it is grown in Africa and Asia and is very weird looking. http://tinyurl.com/ycdag7o9 More than you ever wanted to know about the subject can be found there! Would that also be the possible fatal flaw in Macron's plan of building an army w/a high percentage of refugees?
Posted by: Lizzy at November 11, 2018 08:04 AM (W+vEI) Yeah. I've often thought that's when it will be over. When Germany, UK and France begin recruiting large numbers of "refugees" into their army and police. I don't see how the native populace can win in that clash, since they are already disarmed. It doesn't even matter if they are more numerous. Posted by: Steve and Cold Bear at November 11, 2018 08:16 AM (/qEW2) 285

Mincemeat is dried fruit and chopped apples meant to taste like a meat pie, IIRC. The why is: It's a 'desperation pie' - the kind of food made by poor people in bygone days that was made with cheap ingredients that tastes like something else (like Ritz mock apple pie). "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. So sure that more votes would be found she knew she was going to get enough for a run off.And votes continue to be found! Now it has become a Civil Rights issue! She won't concede even though the winner won by a large margin even with found votes. This will go to a court room. And Florida? The entire state needs some real world overhauling of their entire election process.let's not forget Arizona.Once an election is defrauded by either side my votes becomes an exercise in futility, wasted time and effort.

A king, a sultan, a senator, two judges, a major GOP donor and Captain America these are the latest recipients of the nations highest civilian honor.
The White House on Saturday named seven people who will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom this Friday. The list includes posthumous awards for Elvis Presley, often called the King of Rock n Roll, Yankees great Babe Ruth, a.k.a. the Sultan of Swat, and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, a conservative stalwart. Also receiving the award are Roger Staubach, a Vietnam War vet and legendary Dallas Cowboys quarterback known as Captain America during his 11 Hall-of-Fame seasons; and Alan Page, a retired Minnesota Supreme Court justice and former football star at Notre Dame. The White House praised Page, who was also a NFL Hall-of-Famer, for giving scholarship to nearly 7,000 students. Retiring Sen. Orrin Hatch, the longest-serving Republican senator in U.S. history, is another winner. The Utah pol, one of President Trumps strongest backers in Congress, is the 28th senator to receive the award. Likely the most controversial recipient is Miriam Adelson, a doctor and philanthropist who with her husband, Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, has donated millions to Republican causes, including Trump. "Macron: Nationalism is the opposite of Patriotism.
" ha, but you should read it in the original Austrian text. I like using Americanism more than nationalism, since we are unique in having a bill or rights that secures (in theory) individual liberty. That is different than most countries ... where conformity to the statist ideology is more readily enforced. The whole "my country right or wrong" is less ambiguous here, since "we" patriots fights for that liberty, not for the DeepState nor the unconstitutional degradation of the constitution. In theory the left is right to "resist" ... except they are resisting the foundation of the country, resisting the will of the vast majority. But if Hillary had gotten her commie majority SCOTUS, resistance to national subversion would have been "patriotic" (allegiance to the individual liberty republic under God, not to the commie march through the institutions) Which is why "we are a nation of laws" is not the greatest slogan, imo. That only works if we keep our laws under the constitution. So "constitutional republic" might be better. Posted by: illiniwek at November 11, 2018 08:49 AM (Cus5s) 410

She's not officially out, but everybody seems to accept that's the deal. McSally had a faux marriage, to one of her AF buddies, during the "don't ask, don't tell" era of the military. Supposedly (and this has been published) she decided that she needed to pose as hetero in the AF in order to get promoted, so she asked a friend to do her a favor. And what this mid-terms illustrated very succinctly is that the fantasy that black will leave the democrat party in any numbers that are significant.
Democrats have successfully accomplished two things... 1. Transference of their sins and maltreatment of blacks to the GOP and conservatives generally and have used the welfare state, affirmative action and all of it's manifestations to enforce loyalty to the party and have successfully framed any attempts to roll it back as racist and direct attacks them. 2. They have successfully incorporated blacks into their power structure and given them a base to operate and rise within that structure. It's all insidious and, in my opinion, unalterable. So long as Scott is in (and he is no matter what noises Nelson is making), I am good with McSally not being there. She had been making never trump noises throughout the primaries and I wouldn't expect her to be any more grateful than McCain was for Trump's help during the election. I expect her to be the same kind of hindrance to the President's agenda as Flake was and expect we will be better off in the long run with a nutcase leftist enemy than we would with yet one more enemy within the gates. Although it would have been amusing to watch her and Willard compete for McCain's press attention.

The "benefit" of Dems having the most robust data gathering operation is the ability to predict the likely hood of someone registered as a Dem actually placing a vote.
Do you remember the NY Times going gaga over how much data (down to the block and paired with other sources) Obama's campaign had on Dem voters? It was supposedly so they knew who they could motivate to vote. Well if only 50% vote, isn't it easer to fill out ballots for those "lazy supporters" and then "find" them if necessary? Untraceable. Making calls to "perfect" votes (as in AZ) let's the voter know how (powers that be) they voted.. Just need 3-6% of these ballots to be "found" to turn any election. Ink on the finger of voters the day of the election.. No other votes should count. Everything else can be faked defeated.. Posted by: HonararyIntern at November 11, 2018 11:58 AM (sG61E) 508
