CNN Maybe Missed a Few Key Details About the Synagogue Vandal

Strange how CNN was Johnny On the Spot linking the Not-A-Bomb Mailer to Trump but forgot to mention the synagogue vandal/threatener was an Obama volunteer.

CNN later updated -- in paragraphs 15 and 20 -- after they had been embarrassed by their Pravda-like behavior.

Bear in mind, they omitted this information, then hid it, during a campaign which they themselves promoted to suggest that political violence can be inspired by political leaders.

And bear in mind: Barack Obama posed with notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan. "Mainstreaming" antisemitism, "sending the signal" that antisemitism is acceptable.

But now that that narrative isn't convenient, it's no longer a narrative.

Don't worry, it'll be a narrative again next time a white guy does something untoward.

And speaking of #FakeNewsCNN, the Enemy of the People, if you wanted to get the Real News on this story, you would have been better off going to... yes, Russia Today, which is apparently less of a propaganda outfit than CNN.

In a bizarre twist, the man who spray painted anti-Semitic graffiti on a Brooklyn synagogue turned out to be "queer," black, former anti-hate-crime intern, James Polite: a 26-year-old with loving Jewish foster parents.

Less than a week after a gunman murdered 11 worshippers at a Pittsburgh synagogue, anti-Semitic graffiti was found scrawled inside Union Temple in Brooklyn's predominantly Jewish Prospect Heights neighborhood. The graffiti read "Die Jew Rats" and "Hitler."

Racist CNN can only identify the perpetrator of a crime if it's the only sort of perpetrator the racist identitarian left agrees is evil, Straight White Men.

Otherwise, they MinTruth it up.

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at November 05, 2018 07:56 PM (/9p9e)

86 Wow... Jewish Foster Parents?

Not uncommon.

The movie "the hate u give" is about some black girl, brought by liberals into an upscale high school, deciding (due to a ham handed plot point) that it's more authentic to go #blacklivesmatter. "Get Out" is about a black guy's distrust of white liberals, as well. Obama's entire body of work up to his Presidential run was about how the ghost of his father (and of his people) demanded that, as an authentic black man, he needed to be a communist activist.

And then there are the millionaires in the NFL - and in the NBA, although this is kept a little more quiet.

There's lots of schmaltz in this society about how grateful those poor benighted negroes will be toward America and the West once liberals give them a helping hand. I've spared a moment or two to listen to those people once they've been uplifted.

Something Given Has No Value.

128 Fraudulent hate crimes. The first one I remember in these parts was back in the 80s, University town. A most unlikely place for such an event. A black gentleman claimed swastikas painted on his mercedes benz. All the usual hand wringing ensued, naturally. Turns out the guy had been shopping around for a paint job on his car the week before, though, and a tip to the popo had them questioning when he folded.

Given the frequency of such bizarre antics, I'm not persuaded this isn't some kind of "extra credit" in some course on community organizing. Nothing else makes any sense. And it provides opportunity for self-loathing types to apologize for something they aren't guilty of, virtue signal, and scold ignorant hillbilly sister humper hicks from flyover Jesusland.

Pretty striking, the impact Chinese tourism is having in Japan. Various quirks to this first generation of Chinese able/allowed to travel. They often abandon suitcases (not clear on the reason), enough that hotels now have an abandoned luggage policy, and charges.

One plus - some Chinese items added at breakfast buffet.

We have a mayor voted on by the city council where I live. Not really a big fan, because I feel it limits accountability (he's from the council, however). A recent one has big ties to development, and there's been a bit of looking the other way about promises made concerning affordable housing (housing costs here are skyrocketing), and overdevelopment, as well as controversy about a low barrier men's shelter. Your situation - a manager appointed and not voted on AT ALL by the people - seems like it would be even worse.

James 46

That's one point better for Stabenow than their last poll, which had shown a big surge for John James. But you cannot win a race like this with no money, and James has none.

IMO, the story of the midterms will be how Dems opened up their wallets and gave all their candidates millions more than their GOP opponents. Republicans wouldn't open their wallets to help great candidates like James actually have a fighting chance, and House GOP incumbents are being outspent 3-1 in many races.

It's not just the RNC. The Dem base has really come through with millions and millions of dollars for marginal House candidates and that money is going to carry many to victory when normally they wouldn't have any chance.

It helps that the Dems have ActBlue as a one-stop fundraising spot while the GOP hasn't gotten anything close to as effective.

My monthly premiums have quadrupled since BarkyCare. My deductible has tripled, too, and my network has narrowed incredibly. And my insurance, now, still doesn't really cover shit after all that, as it's only 80-20 on the big stuff.

Schoolteachers are vastly overpaid for the simple job they do (which really doesn't change from year to year), the massive amount of vacation time they have, and the easy moonlighting cash they pick up tutoring the kids if they want.

And schoolteachers are still not satisfied with all this and have to destroy society to keep themselves entertained.

We have govt run insurance for all intents and purposes.

ace, Sefton, et al.,

I went on sabbatical just a little before October 27.

Thankfully, I had no hint of the HORRIBLE national news of what had transpired that terrible morning -- until almost the 28th.

I am (and was) so sorry to hear what had happened. - Simply evil and horrifically awful.

It breaks my hear to know that such an evil thing happened - especially in this country.

It is all but impossible for me to describe the good joy that I experienced during that awful period. There is simply no way to change the course of history whether evil or good. Much of life is simply what happens - no matter who we are or how we choose to live it.

Anyway, I hope that we somehow keep the House tomorrow. It does not seem implausible to me that we might.

Regardless, thank you ace et al. for all the fine work you continue to do.
- Sorry I have been absent during this critical period. But thankful that I have been truly blessed.

Because he doesn't have to. The venue or the campaign has a live performance license from BMI and/or ASCAP. That gives them the right to play recordings or live covers of anything they want off of the BMI/ASCAP song list (which is probably 99%+ of the songs you've ever heard of). What they can't do is use the songs in things like commercials. That's a different license.

The artists already sold out their songs to the agencies, so they have NO fucking right to bitch about it. If they didn't want Trump using their songs during his rallies, they shouldn't have licensed the songs to the agencies.

Fuck them all in the squeekhole.

Robert Heinlein outs himself as a gun nut to Alice Dalgliesh. In 1949.

"France had Sullivan-type laws. When the Nazis came, the invaders only had to consult the registration lists at the local gendarmerie in order to round up all the weapons in a district. Whether the authorities be invaders or local tyrants, the effect of such laws is to place the individual at the mercy of the state, unable to resist. In the story Red Planet it would be all too easy for the type of licensing you insist on to make the revolution of the colonists not simply unsuccessful, but impossible."

Just imagine if we had "food insurance" modeled after health insurance.

If Democrats are doing it and Republicans aren't, that's bad, no matter how big our rallies are.

BTW, the young lady volunteer was from a state assembly candidate, Cottie Petrie-Norris.

The candidate says on her website that she wants to elect "progressive Democrats at every level," but doesn't mention being a Democrat on her flyer, just that she's "a business and community leader."

Is anyone here a volunteer for a candidate? I'm not, haven't even thought about it.

671 BarkyCare also did away with the idea of doctor-patient confidentiality and second opinions. In the world of BarkyCare there's no need for a second opinion because all doctors are the same and they're all perfect. And the loss of confidentiality is really bad and infuriating. We're not far from the point when it's going to be like the ad they had when they were pushing BarkyCare, where you're getting examined on a stage with a whole audience watching and screaming out previous tests you've done and procedures you've had. ANyone remember that ultra-creepy commercial? It used to run on Fox every so often back in 2009.

672 @643
A Republican hasn't been elected to the Senate from NJ since 1955.
There have been two appointed GOP Senators but they simply finished out their terms and were duly replaced by a Donk by the voters at first opportunity.

I'd love Hugin to win but the county map doesn't favor him and I might lose my house district to a Donk who has literally bought up all the ad space across all media platforms.
Looks like the GOP candidate had zero dollars to spend as I saw perhaps two commercials across all platforms in the course of 4 months.
And the two commercials were pathetic and ridiculous almost as if he wanted to lose.
