USA Today "Investigative Reporter" Doxes Twitter User for Spreading News He Doesn't Like

Enemies of the people.

You know, there's always talk about funding a media-hunting Investigative unit that will dig up their arrest records, drug addictions, sexual affairs, and gay dalliances.

I think that is going to soon move from mere talk to a funded operation.

This can't keep going on. They cannot be permitted to continue hunting law-abiding citizens with impunity. They must be on the receiving end of their own scalp-hunting tactics.

I do in fact think reporters -- and some "conservative" pundits -- are on the take from Soros.

We know now that rich interests pay firms like Fusion to "research" stories their clients want pumped into the press. We know that many reporters, like NBC's "Fusion Ken" Dilanian, routinely pumps out Fusion's clients' PR to the world.

So yes, I do think that Soros is now paying reporters to plant the sort of stories he wants planted.

By the way: Soros is in fact a major funder of "immigration activism." One of the two women who trapped Flake in the elevator and berated him was revealed by no less an authority that leftwing It Girl Ocasia-Cortez as a working for an immigration activist group -- and a simple google search reveals that group as being funded by Soros' political slush-fund groups.

Whether Soros has anything in particular to do with the caravan, we don't know. However, his funding of the Open Borders left is beyond any question.

But Soros doesn't want that information out there, so now he has operatives like Brad Heath doxxing nobody citizens for talking about it.

The media routinely whines that about how dangerous it is to call them out -- how Trump's rhetoric "puts a target on them."

Yet they work for wealthy corporations with ready access to security consultants and personnel.

Meanwhile, they eagerly paint targets on Joe Nobody citizens' backs -- throwing their names and locations out to the mob to, you know, do as they will.

This is not tolerable, and it will not be tolerated for much longer.

Update: A commenter tells me that Bruce, aka "Gay Patriot," has started a GoFundMe with the mission of uncovering the media's skeletons.

I can't endorse it -- not out of any moral objections (in fact I'm full of moral support for it), but just because I have no idea if he can deliver or what his qualifications are.

But there's the link, if you're interested.

84 Hey, I actually met my first conservative in real life yesterday! Was at a restaurant "sneak preview" grand opening event, where reviewers and PR folks get to sample the menu before opening day. Started talking to a guy who works at [company name redacted]. and within 30 seconds we had but mutually detected that we were both conservatives, talking in the patented Undercover Conservative In a A Liberal Area dialect. As soon as we realized we were BOTH using the dialect, we immediately dropped the pretense and excitedly started bad-mouthing liberals, bluntly and without euphemism. Sweet! Never had that experience before.

88 If we keep the House and Senate then it becomes imperative that new firearm and deployment laws are enacted:

1) Lethal force for any threat against doxxed people get the same legal protections and considerations as stand-your-ground. That is, if a doxxed person becomes the plaything of the Left, the doxxed person can legally assume that any contact by the Left is of a Life-Or-Death matter and the decision to and how to act is sole property of the doxxed person.

2) The person or persons responsible for the doxxing are held legally responsible for any aftermath, including being scape goat for a manslaughter charge if the contact with the doxxed person results in death.

I can think of more. But we do need to get rid of the NFA. The enemy is now within the wire and we can no longer afford the bureaucratic luxury of banning defensive items from a threatened public.

89 I agree, I want to know what "offer" Heath was talking about. He got someone's phone number off Lexis/Nexis and I haven't used Lexis/Nexis is ages but I'd be interested in knowing the various privacy laws involved in that and also how the actual fuck Lexis/Nexis has a database of everyone's cell phone numbers, texted her with hi we are going to publish your name and wanted to tell you, and then references an "offer"? What. Offer.

I thought it was very well known indeed that most "news" stories are simply some type of corporate PR package given to the reporterette and the reporterette then acts like s/h/it put it together and it's totes news!

Yeah, I'd be curious, too. My license for Lexis is only for the law stuff, but I think the journalism side is basically the same as the law side, but with news articles.

Is he saying her cell number was published in a newspaper article at some point?

Or is it more likely he found it through her Amazon page and just made up the Lexis thing?

Or is there an aspect of Lexis I don't know about?

Anyone here have a license to Lexis' journalism stuff and can elaborate?

There are many "levels" of Lexis-Nexis. The more money you pay for your subscription, the more databases you can access. 95% of organziation only pay for the lowest levels. But some big organizations and corporations pay for highest-level access and basically ALL databases. Which have essentially ALL your info. I guess USAToday pays for top access.

112 The Press, in order to be functional, often has to interview people to then report on it. Many people (I am in this camp) have a default answer of "No. Not now, not you, not ever, not anyone." If they want a *lot* more people to end up in this camp, this how they accomplish that outcome.

Now, it might be that it just doesn't matter because they just make shit up anyway and so have short-circuited the process on their own - but making everyone afraid to talk to you is a great way to get no one to be willing to talk to you.

For most people out there, FB is for family pics and pet pics and What We Did Last Summer and whatnot.

This DOES go both ways, if not with the people who run FB, with the average user. It is refreshing to see leftists get blasted at times by erstwhile friends for going political there.

Yes and no. The assumptions and worldview they have are carefully crafted by partisans. Not to go tall Alex Jones here, but there is a sort of information war going on out there.

And the people who fund, influence, and implement it (K-12 teachers, media, historians, pop culture) are way more to blame then our hapless LIV friends who just live their lives based on what they learned in school and see on the occasional CNN broadcast while they're on a layover in an airport.

In other words, those people can be "deprogrammed" as it were -- and many are. I mean, look at the 2016 election. Trump won after the media and culture threw EVERYTHING THEY HAD at him. The only way someone could vote for Trump is if they first accept the premise that the media is full of shit.

So about half this country has already decided they can't trust the media.

156 You can subscribe to a bunch of sites where they tap the phone numbers and if you supply a phone number they will supply the name and address of that name.

It's tricky as they will come back with everyone with that name in that locale so it's easy to come up with the wrong person.

This is why the guy called her/txted her to make sure who they were going to dox was the one with the post.

It cost just a few bucks. To find them just type in a name and then search. You'll get links to different places that will supply the phone number and addy for that person if they are on.

And yes they can find the location that was used to purchase a cell phone. That may or may not be where the person lives but usually is.

157 It's your neighbors, your colleagues, your families, your bowling league buddies, your union brothers, etc etc who make the bad things possible - not Soros or anyone else.

Yes and no. Their votes cause these problems, but their votes come about due to the pernicious influence of propaganda and media manipulation. Which is paid for and controlled by a small number of very bad actors who you can probably name most of off the top of your head.

But time is more compressed now.

===========

If you want to use that analogy, then Trump may be acting very differently than Jackson, and that's a good thing.

For all the talk of Andrew Jackson being a radical crazy person (which he kind of was), he dealt with the Nullification Crisis with surprising restraint.

He ended up indulging South Carolina just enough to get them back to the table and to renegotiate the terms of the tariffs. The fact that SC won that fight probably helped to radicalize an entire generation of politicians in SC with the idea that they could force the rest of the country to bow to its will, setting up an attitude that led to the actual act of secession.

Trump...doesn't seem to want to take that tact. He's limited largely by the courts, but he doesn't seem to be operating under the assumption that the solution is somewhere between the two positions like Jackson ultimately acted.

Squashing this new nullification crisis in a way that Jackson did not could be what saves us from an actual civil war.

...And that's true too.

And even if some people did show up to picket the doxxed person or whatever, the media would portray the person as a poor victim and would not add to the doxxing.

It's so effective for the left because they can sicc a mob on the person, then the media reports on the story (including releasing all the doxxed info), amplifying the story. They also portray the doxxee as, you know, deserving it, and the rabid mob attacking the person as justified.

But the main point of the story is always "can you believe this horrible racist said these horrible things? People are rightfully upset at going after Ann Smith of 123 Main St, whose phone number is xxx-xxx-xxxx. Also, protesters are rumored to have gone to the elementary school where her kid attends -- the school address is 55 Oak St, her kids name is Sean. Also, it's rumored that there is a spare key to her back door under her doormat."

231 >>I think Ace is right. We need to doxx every fucking reporter from here on out. Only by tasting their own medicine will they grasp the severity of what they are doing.

What needs to be made publis - and I don't even consider this doxing - are the relationships between the people making the news and the people/institutions they're covering.

For example, this Heath guy: for all we know his wife or brother or adult child is an exec at an Immigration NGO (partially funded by a Soros org), or maybe a long-time DC bureaucrat at State whose expertise includes immigration (and who's worked to ease up immigration policy).

DC really is that incestuous, and it would be so helpful to have a Discover the Networks type site where you could put in a journalist's name and see all of their connections.

There are limits, and if someone is increasingly, consistently corrosive without backing down (in fact doubling down) while poking the sore bits over and over, they will eventually get the hammer. And they should.

EVERYONE has limits of what they will put up with, including you. And someone can over time incrementally push themselves past that limit to where they're not only no positive benefit to the site, but are actively making things miserable.

271 As for doxxing, and it not being a recognizable America any more, that rubicon was crossed in 2008. Joe the Plumber. Still - an astonishing, completely un-American and repugnant little episode, that had the merit, in hindsight, of revealing just how degraded the civic culture had become (before O's election confirmed it).

A horribly bumbling inept presidential candidate walks into some guy's front yard when that guy is playing catch with this son, with a football. Totally random and uninvited, etc. Gets asked an obvious, basic question. Effs it up.

And then the guy playing catch with his son, in his own yard, becomes the target of doxxing, etc. Including illegal revelation of personal info by *state* officials.

Soon after that, Twitter apparently combed through half-year old posts and said I was suspended.

Now, I do know that twitter and all of these fuckers do in fact READ YOUR CONFIDENTIAL NONPUBLIC DMS and EMAILS, which is horrifying. I wonder if they did that here, and had to make up an excuse for the banning because they couldn't admit the real one.

326 Trump was Doxxed on another level ... he had our FBI/DNC push people right into his campaign, where they tried to frame him for Hillary's (and their) crimes. It is Doxxing in that it is making his private operations public (and if leaking those details was not enough, they fabricated extra ones, like the pee pee dossier)

Whoever (Hillary/Comey?) helped China acquire all federal employee records was basically Doxxing them as well, to a select and dangerous enemy.

Exposing political enemies private info to bad actors is perhaps a wider version of "doxxing", but essentially the same intent. Harm them by exposing them to bad actors. All the leaks on Gen Flynn or others ... essentially the same crap ... Dem Insiders ... and Obama opened the floodgates for that in his last month in power.

I'm assuming that Menendez's presence in the field squashes out anything else. Hugin could streak across the stage a few times, and it might not have a huge effect in the anti-Menendez vote.

Who the hell elected them emperor gods of personal information? How utterly condescending to 'let her know' the decision they had made which was clearly against her wishes? I have to wonder why they bothered to even tell her...was it either they truly had no idea that what they were doing was ethically wrong so they saw no problem in just passing along the message or, yikes!, did they do it to illustrate their power? As if to say, we are your betters, so you'll take our decision and like it, peasant! We have decided for you, powerless one! Observe our omnipotence! Sometimes getting "a taste of their own medicine" can be the first step to remorse.
C. S. Lewis talks about this in his Reflections on the Psalms when dealing with all the passages that pray for terrible things to happen to evil-doers.
It's not merely a desire for justice, which is good, much less a thirst for revenge, which is not so good.
It's an aching for the perpetrator to truly understand.

373 Polling has gotten a little worse for the GOP in the last week (as I'm sure you've all seen). Still, if you go way back to the 98 midterms, you may find a more similar contextual model to what's going on here.

Newt was ready to run the table on the Clinton Family Presidency, but the results were effectively regarded as a loss for Newt (tho the GOP retained the House and Senate). Newt ran against Clinton with the threat of impeachment while the economy was doing well, and the end result was the GOP and Newt parted ways.

374 Prometheus had about 7-8 really stupid plot problems, but if you could overlook those, the visuals were quite good.

I was incredibly bored by Covenant, basically because it was more or less a redoing of Prometheus. It was also annoying because it didn't answer anything important. We learn David genetically created the xenomorphs in their final form (ie. the one in Alien), but we never learn *why* the Engineers decided to destroy humanity with the xenomorph bioweapon. It's because Scott, greedy pig, confessed he wanted a trilogy, and in order to do that, he basically made the same movie *twice*.

376 For all those fretting over predictions of Blue Wave - nobody knows what will happen.

But as of today, no actual concrete results - meaning absentee ballot returns and early voting - point to anything like a Blue Wave. In fact, the opposite.

Even the CA House seats - and a few surprising ones, from MN to NH - are looking quite good for the GOP candidates.

Again, based on this early data - which is real, not "polls". If past patterns hold, looking at the votes cast before election day, there is every prospect of a Red Wave.

Not a guarantee. But if you're going to use tea leaves, use high-quality ones ....

===========

Yeah, Democrats have largely and generally dominated Early Voting over the last couple of decades as it's become a thing.

Republicans, as an organization, mainly decided to simply fight early voting instead of investing in it, which led to the Democratic advantage.

Reince Priebus took a different tact since 2016 (I think that's when the focus began to shift) towards actually using early voting as a vehicle for...votes.

This cycle is the culmination of that work, and it seems to be paying off. Whether that means Republicans will still dominate on actual Election Day is still a big question, though.

434 First, no, conventional polling is not moving against the GOP in the key races. On the contrary.

And second, garrett, no, early voting/absentee returns are not the same as polls. They are real votes. To the extent their partisan or demographic flavoring is known (varies by state), and applying assumptions drawn from actual past events, some tentative projections can be made. Projections, highly uncertain ones, but with an entirely different basis than polling.

The election night "calls" on races are based on exactly the same things - past voting patterns in a given district/state, etc. A projection as to the winner is made based on a partial vote tally. These projections are rarely wrong.

Early #s are less specific, detailed, or reliable than election day #s, for sure. But they're far more concrete and likely to be indicative than any of the limited public polling #s we all see.

If it was relevant to the story, then yes. For example, explaining that the man who saved the President did so after looking out his front window, seeing the President needed help, and raced outside to provide that help, would be a doxing that was actually appropriate. Or if you were writing a story about an artist, and wanted to explain how the artist's environment influenced his or her work, then doxing might be appropriate.

But that's not why the media has been doing this.

515 If it was relevant to the story, then yes.

516 Blade Runner ranks up there.

Blade Runner is an awesome mix of noir 40s music and sci fi synth pop. I love good soundtracks, I own a ton of them. There is a third kind of soundtrack I just thought of: The theme and mood music kind. Like Magnificent Seven, that has this awesome intro music for the credits then just a bunch of basic movie background theme music that's generic. Most westerns do that: great Original theme and bland rest of the album.

Any new polling now one would think would be to save face for the pollsters, to cover up for their "she's 17 points ahead" crap, so it should be more accurate, less suppression (fake) polling. But this year may be different ... they really need a big win, may give us even more fake numbers (intentionally, not to mention their old technique no longer works ... patriots just hang up on the fraudsters) imo

I understand that there are almost no leftists who come here and have actual arguments, so some in the horde desire a robust exchange with someone who disagrees with them. But trolls aren't it. If you have a psychological need for such an exchange, go to a leftist site and troll them.

570 The story is horrifying, and I in no way mean to trivialize it. But is there a reason to write "I did a google search" rather than "I did a search," "I researched it," or "I looked it up"?

May sound petty, but g0000 is not our friend, and we need to be at least as smart as the left is about language. They don't need our free advertising; it's the same way with "I googled" it, using a brand name when what the person means is, they looked it up.

We've got generations of kids, 'cos they're in all the schools, growing up thinking the first step to research is to bring up google, which gives them biased algorhythms besides employing nasty workplace habits.

Or, even adults, will say "What can you do? It's either that or Microsoft." They don't even know!

We can start to change this cheap way of advertising themselves and giving themselves control of 80-90% of the world's searches. Right now, too many don't even knowing that SEARCH ENGINE is the thing, g0000 is just one brand of it. ... It's not called a g0000; it's a search engine.

Anyway, just found the way it was gratuitously slipped in there odd and though I'd remind folks that there's no reason to cheapen the language just because a multi-national prefers it that way. "I researched it" works fine.

P.S. It's esp annoying and harmful when conservative talk show hosts do it.
