AP: CNN Pipe "Bomb" and Powder Within It Were Perfectly Harmless

Will the always-in-error-but-never-in-doubt Not-Binary Ben care to revise and correct his prior remarks about people being "deranged"?

The pipe bomb and white powder that forced an evacuation at CNN headquarters in New York City Wednesday morning were harmless, a law enforcement source told the Associated Press.
The purported explosive device was similar in construction to those sent Wednesday to former President Barack Obama, former attorney general Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D., Fla.), and Representative Maxine Waters of California. A package containing white powder was delivered later in the day.
The NYPD said the explosive devices were live during a Wednesday afternoon press conference but subsequent reporting suggests they were not functional.
All of the devices carried a parody ISIS flag featuring comedian Larry the Cable Guy’s signature slogan, "git 'er done," NBC News reported late Wednesday.

That last bit, the Git 'er Done thing, makes me think this is a false flag, and not merely a fake bomb.

It's like the Mark of Zorro, a calling card, saying "I'm a shit-kickin' hillybilly MAGA-hat wearin' Bubba, I swears it! Come and catch me, Mr. Acosta!"

Why not just wrap the "bombs" in a Kid Rock poster while you're at it?

Why not seal the envelope with sticky Kraft BBQ sauce?

Why not just add "shrapnel" in the form of Busch beer pull-tabs?

Why not include a glossy picture of Trump from The Apprentice with the words "YOU'RE FIRED" glued on it from cut-up newsprint?

Add into that:

One expert, the guy who caught the UNABomber, says this looks like it might be false flag to him. He pointed out that there was no method by which the bombs would detonate themselves -- he said something like "the recipient would have to figure out how to detonate it himself."

An expert on CNN said something like "the bombs seem to be designed to be intercepted, and not to actually harm anyone."

A self-professed expert (admittedly, his expertise is unverified) said the bombs were "silly-looking" and look like the most common type of bomb, which is a fake bomb.

Sorry guys. I am now leaning, not completely but definitely inclining, to the "False Flag" theory.

Having an open mind and not dogmatically stigmatizing, nay, anathematizing, all thoughts you didn't already have yourself -- what an idea! What an interesting method of sifting through evidence to reach unexpected conclusions!

Seems like a useful mindset for someone interested in living as rational being in a free republic where citizens are supposed to inform themselves and make their preferences and beliefs known through their representatives.

Rather than some kind of fucked-up Cult where everyone just repeats what a few Young Messiahs pronounce on Twitter.

Weird -- a Cult of Personality without any actual personality. Unless you think "Censorious C3PO" counts as a "personality."

PS, I hear, on the down low, a lot of people with prominence in the real conservative movement, not in Not-Binary Ben's corporate-funded Potemkin Village version of it, actually have had strong suspicions about this all day long but, as I'm told, "no one's allowed to say it."

Partly because of bitchy little yappy-dog Hall Monitor scolds and thought police like Ben Shapiro.

Does this slippery-assed cuck believe in the free exchange of ideas and argument or does he only believe in hysterical Twitter denunciations and purges and deplatformings?

I think they (some? most? all?) had real gunpowder in them, probably from fireworks or firecrackers, but it wasn't possible for them to be exploded as (supposedly) intended as letter-bombs but the MSM is making it sound like they were 'real' by saying they contained "explosive material" which is technically true and, yeah, if you held a blowtorch to them or you threw them into a fire, they'd explode (or just flare) while, of course, they weren't practical, actual letter-bombs.

However, this is definitely ideological, whether a false flag or a real one. A pure maniac with no particular ideological moorings, like Jared Loughner, might shoot one or two politicians, but this guy went specifically after "Trump's Enemies."

So I drive by the HQ the next day expecting to see someone scrubbing the wall, but the poster was still there. And the next day, and the next. Eventually, I just forgot about it.

One morning my alarm clock wakes me up tuned to the local news. "The Democrat party headquarters vandalized! All the windows smashed out! And the criminal left a calling card." Cut to the hyperventilating Democrat leader "It has Nazis! Its some kind of Nazi thing!"

It turns out she was lying. The transvestite shemale weirdo that broke all the windows just happened to do this as the cops were driving by and was arrested at the scene. Surprise, he/she/whatever worked for the DNC. The Democrats and 850KOA knew this full well and ran with the fake news. Only Michelle Malkin got to the bottom of it.

I doubt you'd get much of an explosion from PVC. The whole point of using a pipe is the internal pressure can get very high before the casing ruptures. A PVC pipe bomb might just rupture and burn.

You are not supposed to use PVC pipe for compressed air lines. The compressibility of air can throw shards for a good bit, unlike water under pressure.

It's against OSHA and other codes (save underground or concrete). That said, guess what I've used out in my shop? Heh.

I've heard of PVC air pipe bursting under pressure, but I don't know if anyone has ever been hurt by it. It's very possible, I'm sure.

That photo, captured by a dedicated CNN reporter that stuck it out, is a reminder of Hillary Clinton's bravery that day.
