5 Good Morning Morons; today is Saturday, September 15, 2018. On this day in 1967 LBJ used a sniper attack at the University of Texas at Austin to urge more of gun control legislation. And he got it because the Communist party controlled everything in 1967.

Nye has an engineering degree at least ... enough to know he is spewing bulloney. Same with Gore ... he stole his whole wrap from his science prof who later told him he was hyping it way beyond the actual science. Gore called him senile ... then the prof died.

All the inconvenient people that end up dead before their time, combined with what we now know about the criminal element inside our FBI/DNC/MSM globalist industrial complex ... makes every death suspicious. There were like five right before the 2016 election.

49 I've thought about it and this is what I believe the administration should do in light of John Kerry's activities.

Pursuing Logan Act violations would be a waste of time, money and resources and go exactly nowhere...

but..

The administration would be well within it's right to do the following.

1. Strip Kerry of his security clearances.2. Strip Kerry of his travel visa.3. Put Kerry on all no-fly lists.4. Strip Kerry to the extent possible of any governmental perks and privileges.

Secondary to that...

Seeing as the DOJ/FBI et al used the Logan Act as a causes beli to spy on General Flynn and persecute and entrap him into process crimes and deliver the travesty that is the Mueller investigation upon this nation, the administration should do the following...

1. Pardon Flynn for any crimes committed and any future "crimes" that may be discovered, see the the Awan immunity deal for a corollary.

2. Trump should personally offer full financial restitution and offer his deepest apologies that he did not do this sooner.

These are the minimal things I expect within the next couple of weeks.

70 one theory on the NM observatory is about the large "vat" of liquid mercury, which I guess has the potential to be used as a terror weapon. They said no one was wearing protective gear, so there was probably not a spill ... but maybe some jihadist was trying to get a few gallons ...

I have no idea how they could use it ... just searching a little says "red mercury" is not real, but jihadists were tricked into thinking it was the ultimate terror weapon ... but anyway, the mercury is the best theory I saw so far, but the little green men theory is the most entertaining.

You won't have to worry about it. If the power is out and you have no fuel, other problems will have migrated to the top of the heap.

Photovoltaics exist but they take years to amortize, if they ever do, against what you sell back. They're also sensitive to the kind of weather that destroys roofs. As for cranking, no. I mean... yes, you could, but no, realistically you couldn't do much more than run a few lights.

Yep. Virtually any site in telecom (cellular, landline, cable TV etc) will have a pile of batteries the size of a Volkswagen, and often a honkin' big diesel generator.

Although a lot of municipalities on the coasts are trying to pull permits for the generators now, because of noise, saving endangered bait fish, global warmening etc. The wireless carriers in particular are kind of scrambling for replacements in those areas.

210 re: NSO and Sunspot, NM

I am going with a foreign listening post. Test shots at White Sands will be with missile mounting extra instrumentation. That is needed to send back in-flight telemetry and it would be hard to get a really narrow beam of that radio traffic that can only be received by the launch site.

So, a mountain not all that far off-axis from the flight path, few people around, public access, and lots of other instruments hither and yon that would look similar to the gear needed for such a listening post. I am thinking most of the gear set up there is maintained by researchers, so new gear would be assumed by all to be someone else's stuff.

Finding such would be a PITA. 100% inventory of every widget, the start combing the brush for any and everything.

This could be a search of a likely site and not a case of "we know something's there" too. Like, they know some data from White Sands got out, but not how. So, go out and start turning over every rock.

The "tell" that this was just a stunt was when she refused to provide the name to the FBI, she blacked it out. And then asked the FBI to investigate.

"I want you to investigate a serious crime!!!"

217 23 Heritage columnist says that female TX cop who shot that man in his own apartment after she stupidly went into the wrong apartment should be charged with murder instead of manslaughter. Why? Because she says TX law does not require premeditation for the charge of murder.
_________________

I wouldn't be surprised if charges get upgraded, because it's becoming increasingly apparent that the cop lied about what happened.

She said the apartment door was ajar, but neighbors reported they heard her banging on the door and demanding to be let in.

She said the apartment was dark and she saw him in silhouette across the room, but crime scene photos show a half-eaten bowl of cereal on his living room ottoman. Unlikely he was eating his cereal while sitting in the dark.

Also, those apartment doors are the type that have springs that close the door automatically, so they don't stay open or ajar unless something is holding them in place. Makes no sense that the guy would have propped open his door, turned off all the lights, then sat down to eat a bowl of cereal in the dark.

The photos also show that this guy had a bright red rug outside his door, unlike the cop's apartment. Why didn't she notice that? And the numbers for the apartments are well lit, so why didn't the red rug cause her to look up at the numbers to make sure it really was her apartment? Burglars typically don't bring decorative accent rugs to homes they're ransacking.

218 "70 one theory on the NM observatory is about the large "vat" of liquid mercury, which I guess has the potential to be used as a terror weapon. They said no one was wearing protective gear, so there was probably not a spill ... but maybe some jihadist was trying to get a few gallons ...

I have no idea how they could use it ... just searching a little says "red mercury" is not real, but jihadists were tricked into thinking it was the ultimate terror weapon ... but anyway, the mercury is the best theory I saw so far, but the little green men theory is the most entertaining."

One possible use for mercury in an observatory is to make an ultra cheap yet nearly perfect primary mirror. If the pool of mercury is slowly spun, the rotating liquid forms a parabola. The size can be much larger than a comparable ground glass mirror. The thing can't be steered, but there are some applications where you can live with that limitation.

226 She said the apartment door was ajar, but neighbors reported they heard her banging on the door and demanding to be let in. "

And if she's banging on the door and demanding to be let in, then A) the door is definitely locked, not ajar, B) she knows from the start that she isn't at her own apartment, or she wouldn't be yelling, and C) she knows from the start that someone else was inside, so she wasn't surprised.

Looking a whole lot like murder to me.

Correct about not needing premeditation for Murder in Texas, but that's because Texas combines what are in other jurisdictions called Murder 1 (premeditation) and Murder 2 (killing someone unexpectedly in, say, a bar fight) The difference between the two is accounted for in the sentencing discretion, not in the charge.
