LOL: CNN's Ratings Down 23% (or 24%) From Last Year

The NeverTrumpers who have bet big on CNN are losing another political bet.

CNN suffered another ratings embarrassment last week, once again losing a significant amount of viewers in comparison to the same week last year.
AdWeek reports that in the week of August 13-19, CNN experienced a 23 percent drop in total viewer average during primetime in comparison to the same week in 2017. During the daytime, there was another drop in ratings of 24 percent since last year.

MSNBC only experienced a drop of 8 percent in primetime and 5 percent in daytime since last year. Fox News Channel, on the other hand, actually increased their viewership by 4 percent all around.

CNN's ratings drop is not surprising given the network’s often hysterical coverage of the Trump White House.

More from the Daily Wire:

In primetime, CNN was crushed (again) by Fox News, and handily beaten by MSNBC, Home and Garden Television, ESPN, History, Discovery Channel and USA Network (which often airs World Wrestling matches during primetime).

In total day viewership, CNN fell again to Fox, MSNBC, Home and Garden Television, and Investigation Discovery, and Nickelodeon (even "Paw Patrol" beat out Wolfy).

Tim Pool pointed out that Fox's daily average ratings, something like 2.9+ million, is slightly larger than even the combined audiences of CNN and MSNBC (which does much better than CNN).

Wholly and utterly opaque of course and no one mentions this at all. I'm convinced the MSM's ratings uptick in 2016-2017 was because of conservatives temporary domination of the internet conversation.

So they start banning and interrupting the conversation, and lo and behold...

I mean, the story behind the construction of the Russian Collusion farce is big news, but they will never report it. They want to stick to the false script that they have written.

Entertainment. Not news.

Technically, Carter is correct.

But, it does help that we finally have a President that understands what small businesses need to succeed and isn't in opposition to them.

Small businesses don't need tax credits for solar or energy efficient autos, those are tax credits for the GE's that buy fleets of autos and can install enough solar panels to actually generate electricity for one of their factories. What small businesses need are tax cuts which actually allows the business owner to keep more of his/her money to reinvest back into the company.

My husband knows Stu Eizenstat well. We ran into ol' Stu and his wife in Italy years ago, when Stu was Clinton's EU ambassador.

First thing he asked my husband was, "Where's the nearest AGIP gas station near here? I want my diplomatic discount."

My husband told him, and in the next breath Stu said, "Americans need to be paying a lot more for gas. Like $6/gal."

My husband said to him, "That would hurt a lot of Americans." Stu replied something to the effect "Americans need to feel pain so they are less dependent on oil" or something.

It was jaw-dropping.

Also, his wife embarrassed the hell out of us at the villa pool, when she pointed to the topless women and LOUDLY said, "Look at that, Stu! We don't see that back in the US!!"

In the case of my mother, the oncologist got to the point where he said there's nothing more I can do for her. She got moved to a hospice and it took less than two weeks. She was still conscious and talking for a lot of that time. Then she was still conscious and not talking and acting like a little girl throwing a fit. My girlfriend was the only person who got her to eat (she had to spoon feed her). Then a day or so later she was unconscious and then died a couple of days later.

So McCain was likely already in a medicated state when they announced no more treatment. That decision had been made some time before I think.

First, he plagiarized his dissertation at Boston University.

Second, he went pretty hard left in the latter part of his life, which lent some credence to suggestions that he was at least Communist-influenced.

So for the moment I put a question mark on him. He may well end up in the Ghandi category in my book.

346 Trump strikes again!

South Africa's parliament was on the verge of changing its constitution to finally make it legal for the government to take all the land from white farmers in SA.

Trump then tweeted his disapproval. One tweet.

At first, the SA president acted all outraged that anyone would imply that his govt was going to steel all the land from white farmers. And all the lefties here tut-tutted in approval and said Trump has fallen for a right-wing conspiracy theory.

AND THEN...two days later...South Africa quietly WITHDREW the constitutional amendment from parliamentary vote:

https://www.rt.com/business/ 437051-south-africas-ruling-anc-says/

South Africa's ruling ANC says land expropriation bill withdrawn for further reconsideration

Suddenly, South Africa realized that the US might economically isolate South Africa if they start the land-theft, or we might impose sanctions, and they would be royally f*cked. So they caved.

One tweet. From Teh Donald. That's all it took.

Well, as someone who's lived in NJ for a very long time, there is no single Jersey accent. :^) What people who are not from here think of as a Jersey accent is Jersey City/Hoboken. People I meet other places sometimes say "You don't sound like you're from Jersey" which is not pronounced Joisey unless you are from those areas of the state. People from the NW of NJ bordering PA don't sound like they're from Joisey either. :^)

Meggie Mac said in an interview that she, Whoopi, and Joy are actually very good friends off-air. She sez Whoopi is as sweet as can be, and she and Joy love to go out for drinks after taping.

Which makes you wonder how much of the cat-fighting on air is real.

Not all States have the same holidays as federal holidays. We have one coming up here shortly that a lot of States do not celebrate, Commie Day on Sep 3.
