Hosted a party last night for a family moving from Chicago area here to free Tennessee.

Introduced them to meats done low and slow and smoky, with sides fresh from our garden.

I may now need to hibernate for a week.

7 Putting whatever his record was in the military and as a POW aside (and that is an area of contention in and of itself), McCain the man was petty, vindictive, venal, stubborn and interested in only one thing - his own embellishment. He was a crook (Keating Five anyone?), involved in the Benghazi/Syria debacle, a willing servant of the Deep State and his role in attempting to sabotage and then overthrow the 2016 election and presidency of the current chief executive, if it is ever fully revealed, will prove him to be a disgrace, or worse. If he deserves to be remembered for anything, it is for 36 years of being the exact opposite of what a person of leadership and character ought to be.

A buddy of mine used to drive tankers for a chemical company. They paid well, so you made sure you followed the rules. One of them was no alcohol 24 hours before driving. Often he would have to pick up his tanker Sunday afternoon. Drinking cokes at a wedding open bar on a Saturday was not the same thing.

I went to The Brickyard 400 several years ago. Nascar had Goodyear bring a tire that couldn't handle the recently diamond cut surface (6 months prior and the IRL had no such issues after it) and the tires disintegrated after 10 laps. The race was reduced to 16 lap heat races because they threw mandatory cautions to change tires.

We were told my Robin Pemberton that we should appreciate that they put on the show and have some respect for the job they did.

I was pretty much out after that.

They mentioned that. The T3 starts at 39000, but of course you want the extra big battery, the software that is pre installed for other things that are coming (?) along, and some other BS. The price then jumps to 60 or 65. Oh, and the "autonomous" driving on it is really or semi autonomous.
Hmmm, I wonder if it comes in black with a thingy that goes up.
I really don't see any downside to this vehicle.

There is a sign that says "Electric Cars Only While�Charging' so I park my gas burning car there. It's not electric and it's not charging so I'm ok right? Who pays for those spots anyway? These are in a prime location, like handicap spots for people handicapped by their cars.

Sometimes there will be a Tesla parked in one of those spots with the owner sitting there looking at his phone or playing with his pecker or something. I'll go inside and do my service call and often they are still there when I come back. They will glare at me when I pull out of one of their special spots and I'll give them the same eat shit look back while driving past.
I really want know who pays for the electricity and maintenance. I suppose we are subsidising that too.

His ex wife got a restraining order out against him for something which happened when he went to pick up his child for planned visitation. She said he got physical with her and claimed there were witnesses. It could just be a spiteful ex trying to jam him up but frankly that lying piece of shit doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
