Antifa Beats the Shit Out of Bernie Sanders Supporter, Thinking He's "Alt-Right" Because He... Was Carrying an American Flag

So that's the real definition of "alt-right" employed by the left now?

When they're justifying their terroristic attacks, they claim they're "fighting Nazis."

But the definition of "Nazi" turns out to be: "someone holding the flag of the nation that defeated the actual Nazis."

John Sexton has the story and video.

Now I'm going to say something, and I don't want it to be read as criticism of Sexton, or anyone else pushing this story.

I understand why the story is being framed the way it is. I do.

I want to talk about why the story can only be framed the way it is.

Without finding fault for anyone on the right for framing it this way.

But the way people on the right are framing this -- and I completely understand the reasons why -- is, "Look, Antifa says they beat up Nazis but they beat up nice liberal Bernie Sanders supporters."

Now, that's the way I framed it too.

The reason the story is framed this way is to dispute the media's argument that antifa only beats up Nazis -- as if that were legal or acceptable.

But it's an argument that CNN clown Chris Cuomo, son of one American governor and brother of another, has made on TV, justifying Antifa's terroristic violence.

You can read Nolte's excellent article on that, or John Sexton's very good piece.

Cuomo -- and I'm sure he did this in coordination ("collusion") with CNN editorial -- implicitly, deliberately endorses terroristic violence by CNN's ground troops in Antifa, while using Yasser-Arafat-like slippery language in doing so, so he can claim he was just saying "Nazis are bad."

That's a lie. I'm sure his script was vetted by CNN and he wrote it several times so that he could justify terroristic violence by the left while retaining some slight scraps of plausible deniability on the point.

But getting back to the why-is-the-story-framed-this-way problem:

Many normal conservatives have been beaten in the street, had eggs thrown at them, been maced in the face, etc.

The media provides air cover for its ground troops, Antifa.

So people frame the story in this way -- a Bernie Sanders supporter was viciously attacked by antifa! -- because the media and city police forces have already decided that conservatives are not human and are not owed civil rights and that it is now de facto legal to brutalize them in the street.

People resort to emphasizing this was a Bernie Sanders supporter because we all understand, and we have all internalized, that the media and Democrat-controlled police forces have deemed us subhuman noncitizens who are of a lesser caste and may be beaten by the higher castes as they choose.

So we all have to emphasize that this is a Bernie Sanders supporter. We could not, say, emphasize that the lesbian girl who was maced in the face by Antifa for the crime of wearing a red MAGA hat was a Trump supporter, because we know that that, in the left's mind, makes her a valid Target of Opportunity.

So we are forced to accept their definition of us as subhuman and beneath the protections of the law. We could not say "They did this to a Trump supporter!" of Charlie Kirk being assaulted (yes, dumping a drink on someone is assault and battery) because we have internalized it that, in the dominant, leftist-controlled rules of engagement, We deserve that.

But this Bernie Suppporter? He doesn't deserve it.

And that's what makes it bad. He, unlike us, does not deserve to be clubbed in the head on the street for carrying an American flag.

We deserve that. He doesn't.

Again, not criticism intended of John Sexton or the many other right-leaning writers writing the story in this way. As I also do not intended to criticize myself for framing it this way.

I point this out only to emphasize to you How bad the situation is.

We all have internalized we have no hope of having anyone in the media point out that beating conservative citizens in the streets is a social evil that borders on open civil war.

So we have stopped even trying.

We have simply moved on to complaining now that the left's fellow travelers are being beaten in the street, hoping against hope that maybe that will make them stop justifying beating conservatives in the street, as Chris Cuomo does on the Super-Patriotic American "news" outfit CNN.

But that is itself hopeless. All the left will do is chide antifa for having chosen the wrong target of the wrong caste to beat in the street for the Nazi-like crime of carrying the American flag.

But they will not criticize antifa for beating citizens in the street. Just for beating the First Class Citizens of the left in the street, mistaking them for the Second Class Citizens of the right, who you're allowed to beat.

Nay -- morally required to beat.

At some point the shooting will begin, and people will be killed by the violence they supported, justified, and promoted -- not just the "right" targets, but the "wrong" leftwing targets too -- and these monsters will ask: "How did this happen?"

Well: It was all you.

People respect the social compact of civil peace only so long as that compact protects them as well.

When they see that there is no longer a social compact of peace, they will begin violating it themselves.

And once that starts in earnest: there is little chance of stopping it. Civil wars start off slowly, then enter a period of dramatic escalation, then enter a period of slow, grinding murder for years, until finally, so many people are dead and so much misery has been suffered that people are finally willing to make peace with those who have been murdering them.

Ask the populations of any country who've gone through a civil war.

But I'm sure our very smart media class knows all this, right? They're The Experts in everything.

Tell me -- What's that like?

Although the question is rhetorical, here's my take: They encourage outright violence because they believe at least one of two things are true:
1) The police at all levels are on their side, and able to suppress what they're trying to trigger, thus handing them a bloodless-for-them victory.
2) The military is on their side, and able to suppress what they're trying to trigger, thus handing them a bloodless-for-them victory.

The way I see it:
- The first part of #1 is true, the second part is not true.
- The first part of #2 might not be true, the second part might be true.

They're making one hell of a gamble either way.

A federal grand jury indicted Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and his wife on Tuesday evening on charges of misusing campaign funds for personal expenses. Funny how this happens on the same day as Cohen and Manafort.

I think he was scheduled to win that district and am wondering what can be done? I believe he beat his Rep. opponent by a lot and I think the 2 people with the largest amount of votes, regardless of Party would run against each other.
Anybody in Ca. that knows about how this would work?

I can appreciate art if said art is well executed. His art was just terrible. He claimed to have sold one of his works.

First year I lived in Colorado's Front Range, I was ten. Moved here in the winter, which turned to spring and summer, and in the exceedingly beautiful way it does in the Rockies. Coming from Pittsburgh I was loving everything about my new home. And then, it snowed. On the Fourth of July.

Nothing like it has happened since, but with no frame of reference, I this was the normal order, and questioned whether my dad made the right call.

447 I've mentioned before that I work in the media, in a job where I field letters from angry readers, both left and right. For whatever reason -- probably because of that godawful coordinated nationwide editorial whining about Trump calling us names -- the lefties have worked themselves into a fury this week. I've been swamped with Trump-hating letters.

Allow me to illuminate the thinking that currently motivates the left: They are absolutely, positively convinced Trump is Hitler 2.0. Yeah, they say that about every Republican, but this time they really, really, really believe it. They are 100 percent convinced they are living in a nascent totalitarian state, and that prison camps are just around the corner.

And they are quite open about the fact that they regard Republicans as fully complicit in this. I have read more than one letter the past week from lefties who state very clearly that supporting Trump renders a person less worthy of moral concern, if not transforming them into an enemy. Honestly, I think the only reason we aren't in a full-blown civil war yet is that lefties still feel icky about guns. If this were the America of 1918, where comfort with firearms was universal, the shooting would have already started.

If you want my opinion on who's responsible for us reaching this state: I'd place the blame on responsible liberals who refused to build a firewall to their left to keep out the crazies, and the conservatives who weren't forceful enough in demanding they do so.

Here's why: Every outraged lefty I encounter -- every single one -- is worked up about Trump because, essentially, he's "mean." They go on at great length about his supposed offenses, but at the end of the day, that's what it boils down to: He ridicules and insults his opponents and uses crude, demeaning language.

Now you know and I know that us righties have been putting up with this crap from the left for decades -- heck, the reason we love Trump is because he's the first guy who's willing to give it to the left as good as he gets. But for the left, it's a completely new experience. They've never had someone on the right turn their own tactics back on them, so they lack any sense of scale. When you are accustomed to dealing with polite, proper cucks who simply mumble an apology and roll over and play dead if you scream RAAAAACIST loud enough, any sign of sharp defiance assumes enormous significance. It feels like the other side has broken some unspoken but absolutely fundamental contract -- and if they've broken THAT contract, why wouldn't they break EVERY contract?

Though they wouldn't phrase it this way, in the minds of many lefties, there is, or was, an unwritten amendment to the Constitution that says "conservatives have to play by different rules; conservatives aren't allowed to be mean." And so when Trump violates this unwritten amendment, emotionally, it feels to them as if he's violating the written amendments, and they feel like it's only a matter of time -- days or weeks, probably -- until he simply declares the First Amendment null and void or something.

The solution would have been for both sides to make clear at some earlier date that there wasn't actually a secret amendment to the Constitution that applied only to conservatives, and that when conservatives responded tit-for-tat to liberal abuse, it was healthy, if heated, debate, and not the End of Democracy. That would have given the left an incentive to behave, which in turn wouldn't have given them the false confidence that led to their being blindsided by Trump.

But that's not what happened. And now the left is in what I can only describe as a pre-civil war state. They have, in their own minds, arrived at a point where they think it's morally acceptable for SOMEONE ELSE to attack and even murder conservatives -- not themselves, of course, but some other righteous leftist, like those antifa guys. All they require now is the last push to get to a place where they'd be willing to pull the trigger themselves.

So there's nothing to do but sit back and wait for the spark.

I was interested in politics as a 12 year old in 1968, and ever since, first voted in '76, and after thinking of this, the only 2 I can think of were Bobby Kennedy in his final few months for both being JFK's brother on the rebound and standing up for the anti-war movement of 1968, and the Black Hezooz because voting for him washed the sin of racism from white-guilted minds.

But nothing to compare to the solid 2 years of Trump campaign rallies. Nothing else is close, even the JEF in 2008. It was more just an event to be seen at, not an emotional revival the likes of a Billy Graham concert likes Trump creates.

You are one hundred percent correct. As their Antifa shock troops get bolder and the police even more complicit in the violence, initially a few run-of-the-mill liberals will try some violence themselves and then a few more and then guns will become lefty hip.
