2 Good Morning Morons; today is Saturday, August 11, 2018. On this day in 1965 rowdy blacks in the Watts area of Los Angeles attempted to burn their neighborhood down. They didn't succeed in burning the Korean stores in the area for some odd reason.

7 Stupid CA jury awards stupid crook and his scheister lawyer $289M over Roundup cancer with zero evidence. This is known as 'jury shopping'. Trial lawyers on the money side love them some CA juries. They would have never brought this suit here in SC where roundup is probably used more than in CA. If I had my way tort law for anything other than a written contract would be outlawed. I guess CA residents will have to do without Roundup. Which is what every manufacturer should do, including automobiles. Refuse to do business in CA.

8 Now here is an almost good lawsuit settlement. Judge awards Teaparty $3.5M from the IRS. In fact, that settlement should come out of Louis Lerner's pocket AFTER she goes to jail. Or maybe they could include every asshole who voted for Obama too. In any case I should not be forced to pay for Obama and Lerner's illegal activities.

10 Recall the NAACP and Democrats always sue and scream about voter ID laws suppressing black votes. Even the corrupt Obama DOJ used this myth to sue Southern States that did not vote for Obama. The latest AL Senate election proves this is a horrendous lie. After finally getting to implement their voter ID law and the votes being counted there was no impact on black turnout at all.

56 Democrat spending never does any good for the economy. FDR proved that a long long time ago. After FDR ALL the government spending from Democrats goes to inner city shit-holes into the pockets of corrupt politicians and the FSA. Obama's reign was the worst of any for this crap which is why the depression did not end until he was out of office. And contrary to the MFM and liberal historians FDR did not spend us out of the Depression either. And I have come to believe that WWII didn't get us out of it either. The 50s had a miserable exonmy, especially in the South where I was growing up.

Then your recollection is incorrect.

It was a conversation between him and Sekelow responding to a caller asking if justice would be done, Sekelow referenced Huber, Giuliani said Huber's investigation is not serious because if it was, things would be leaking out, because of course they would and you would be seeing and hearing things, Giuliani was a deputy AG and has numerous contacts all over law enforcement and said he has heard jack and shit.

Posted by: Kreplach at August 11, 2018 06:31 AM (AMttH)

If there was a serious, active investigation occurring, Huber would be working with a large team of investigators, he would have grand juries empaneled, people like McCabe, Strozk, Page, Comey, Clapper, Rice, Yates, The Ohrs, et al would have been called before it to testify.

This has simply not occurred, you know how, because it would have leaked nano seconds after it occurred.

Also, spend the money for the higher end Roku boxes (or other streaming device) - it will save you a lot of consternation. I have a Roku Premier than I never have to deal with a problem like that.

165 Trees, particularly pines, will definitely block the signal. I don't have the exact angle but if you have a clear shot towards the south at about a 25 degree from horizontal, and antenna locates there should work. the satellite providers (or the intertubez) should be able to give you az and el for you general location.

167 The Roku model is to make money on the same of devices, and then they make money on pass-thru of pay services. And they make money from advertising on the screen. Roku does not offer any of its own content for sale I don't think.

You can watch your Netflix account on your Roku - you pay Netflix direct and I am pretty sure that Roku doesn't get a cut or kickback from Netflix. However, you could sign up for CBS All Access THROUGH Roku, and your $5 a month is paid to Roku - Roku probably gets 10% or less of that.

U see my farther, I Mean Richards father, was a machinist or carpenter or something I can't remember ... but he was well read - very well read - he knew of the theories.

The theories were that someone how this "electron" thing and this "nucleus" thing shifted around and spat out a "photon" (uncharged - we know that - u like the many other bosons aside from Z) and this really intrigued him (Richards father)

He so wanted his son to be able to explained to him this amazing mystery....! Should be so simple

I could write a long essay on why this exactly the right question to ask and why it still is but the point is it came from a blue collar worker ... and inspired his son... and his son discovered things no one had yet discovered before.

Amazing things. And so it was a glorious life.

And yet he still could not answer the simple question his blue collar father so wisely posed

Like I said, user experience is different from cable. I have had a good experience with the Beta DVR but YMMV. PS Vue is the only one of the services I have no experience with so I can't compare. Sling is probably the best technically - but their channel selection:price is not as good. So kind of Beta-VHS.

173 Make the case for my unreasonableness.

1) The fact that you insist on telling us how much you hate everyone. That is not an argument. What you are doing is exactly what we mock SJWs for doing - simultaneously demanding that we validate their emotion while acting as if their emotion validates their interpretation of the evidence. It has no purpose in debate except to rile up others.

2) I noticed that after fulminating about how awful Rosenstein was for announcing the Russian indictments while Trump was meeting with Putin, you were strangely quiet when it came out that he did so because Trump himself asked him to. You just went on as if nothing had happened. I think that at this point you have become too invested in "nothing will happen" and aren't willing to look at evidence objectively.

3) I remember that you had some very, very optimistic things to say about how fast Trump would clean up Washington. A number of folks, including myself I believe, pointed out at the time that these seemed a bit overoptimistic. I also remember having to calm you down a few months into Trump's first year when you were proclaiming Trump to have been boxed in and his term destroyed before it began. As it so happens, Trump has been doing fairly well since then, so I think I've been vindicated in that regard. Ergo, I think that you came into this with some rather unrealistic expectations, and these have colored your view of events since and that you are prone to overreact in consequence.

Look, I don't want to take sides on this matter, because I honestly don't know who to believe. Between you and ScoggDogg, though, I'm inclined to trust Jackstraw, just because he has less ego (scoggy) and rage (you) showing.

And I'm also a bit worried about you. As I said, you were one of the positive guys back in a rather bitter time, and I liked you for it. I'm afraid you are headed down a rather dark path right now and I don't want that to happen.

Meanwhile, massive numbers of baby boomers ( somewhere around 70,000 ) are retiring every week after paying into the system for forty five plus years. Can't mention them, though.

Trump has to keep the economy cranked on high to absorb that kind of a shock. Which means getting those from 16 years of age on up off the dole and paying some bucks.

209 2) I noticed that after fulminating about how awful Rosenstein was for announcing the Russian indictments while Trump was meeting with Putin, you were strangely quiet when it came out that he did so because Trump himself asked him to. You just went on as if nothing had happened. I think that at this point you have become too invested in "nothing will happen" and aren't willing to look at evidence objectively.

I want to address this - this event, the release of the indictment - is the thing that has swung me the most toward the JackStraw position. My first view was that this was the DoJ undermining the President on the eve of the summit. Conservative commentators (real ones, not fake-o TruCons) were all up in arms because it was stagecraft since no Russian named in the indictment was going to end up in court.

I was upset about it until I read the actual indictment. (I know, weird, right?) The indictment was released unsealed and unredacted. And if you read it as an IT security professional it is clear that there is information and detail provided in that indictment that could ONLY have been obtained by the US hacking the GRU. The reason for releasing it, I think, was to send a message to the Russians: we knew you had hacked this US entity within a week of it happening, and then we hacked you back, and you didn't even know it until just know, with this indictment. Which means that you have no idea what we may be reading/listening to right now. Didn't you read the NYT today about having a source very, very close to Putin? Not saying, just saying. Sincerely, Rod Rosenstein.

That indictment and analysis would have been in Putin's hand when Trump showed up. I would like to think that Trump said, look, we got you red-handed, and we aren't going to war over it, but it would be nice if you made some amends by helping out more in Syria and Iran.

The press, obviously, would not and could not be read into this plan. So that is all they wanted to talk about at the press conference. Trump who knew that the US had just delivered evidence of US hacking of Russia to the Russians on DoJ letterhead couldn't turn around and start lecturing Putin on stage. Trump was/is willing to take the heat from the press so he took the position he did, and said what he said. (Remember when Trump was treasonous and would be impeached and OUTRAGE!!! - forgotten. At least for that incident.)

Thing is that it is still ambiguous based on public knowledge. You can read that whole thing either way. DoJ attempting to kneecap Trump on the eve of a meeting with Putin, or cooperating in pressuring him.

1. In this environment, after eight years of a lawless Obama and supine GOP and now two years of an ongoing coup with the aiding and abetting of the supposed opposition party, if you don't hate everybody and everyone involved in this breathtaking corruption and criminality then you are either deluded or worse.

2. I find that story implausible, what more than likely happened is that Rosenstein told Trump what he was going to do, Trump couldn't tell him not to move forward or order Rosenstein not to announce it until after the summit, because it would immediately be leaked causing Washington to blow up over charges of obstruction and coverup, Trump simply made the best of the shit sandwhich he has been dealt.

3. I was optimistic, what I did not understand fully is the depths of dishonor Jeff Sessions was capable of and how complicit in all of this criminality the GOP would prove to be. The scales have been lifted.

There are profoundly ridiculous and silly people that are far too credulous and when they talk they come off as a similacrum of adult speak in a Peanuts cartoon.

And let not your heart be troubled, my postings here constitute a release of my anger at this intolerable situation we find ourselves in.

Duck Donuts originated in Duck, NC (Outer Banks).

They have franchised over mainly the Mid-Atlantic.

They are kind of a production, you start with a cake donut, then add an icing, topping, and/or drizzle.

It's all very elaborate.

I don't like cake donuts, because they tend to be dry. These taste like, umm, cake. They are kind of more like a cupcake with a hole in the middle.

I don't know commercial aircraft, but I bet they are like military vehicles: no ignition key. So, if you are someone with routine access to the maintenance or parking area and you know how to (at least partially) operate it, making off with a vehicle or aircraft is not difficult. No armed guards to overcome. No physical barriers that can block the vehicle/aircraft.

So, like that M577 stolen in June. All it takes is a pair of bolt cutters (driver's hatch is padlocked) and the knowledge of how to drive it.

305 4 Aircraft mechanic steals a passenger jet a Seattle-Tacoma airport and crashes it into an island in Puget Sound. How is this possible?"

Much easier than most would think - once you get through the perimeter of a most airports, there is actually very little security. That's one of the big lies and big frauds behind all this TSA screening - thousands of people with employee badges can come and go daily with just a flip of a badge at the entry, every airport.

I actually feel a bit sorry for this guy, obviously intelligent, a mechanic who taught himself to fly, also his transcripts with ground control lead one to believe he was mentally ill. (They tried to talk him into landing at a remote strip he was near, he refused because he was scared there were AA guns set up there) The video clip of him doing a loop over water in that big plane is kind of awesome. They scrambled a couple of F-15's to chase him, see what his intentions were, and when he saw them he just dove into the ground.

So S E Cupp would like us to be gone.

The feeling is mutual.

Once we're gone, along with the values we hold dear, you will regret it, Sugar Tits.

These days I tend to use my daily carb allowance on a cocktail or glass of wine or beer at dinner.

Just do shots of Everclear and use the carbs for the donuts.

I am envious, for sure. We've been looking at places to make our Tactical retreat. Wife wants near the beach. I like it. But I'm kinda partial to not being wiped out by one storm.

338 In before the bookings!

A perfect 72° and mostly clear skies here in Oklahoma's Green Country, as the promo brochures call it. Going to touch 90° later, possibly some rain. Gun safety widely practiced in the countryside, some accumulation of liberalism in the larger urban areas. Wear your rubbers.

((Infidel)). Try to focus on being grateful he was able to "go easy" as you hoped. Your life has been very centered on your cate of him for a while and it's natural to feel off-balance as you reorient. Give yourself grace.

340 Charlottesville has essentially closed downtown, police (some in what looked like an approximation of full battle rattle) walking the streets, emergency ops in place. "A Day to Remember" safe space navel gazing speech on campus.
All these preps seems about a year too late, and a city administration looking to fan the flames of Resistance(TM) conflict too late.
Mr. Jefferson would likely be embarrassed by the mental timidity of people at his university claiming the highest standards they support is "SHUT UP NOW, YOU RACIST WHITE BASTARDS!!11!"

I have Master Cook cookbook program that has nutritional info for just about everything. And you can add both ingredients and recipes for stuff it doesn't have.

344 I don't ever feel like I get much info from the Generic Congressional polls. As always, Alabama will be Red and California will be way Blue.

Almost all of the generic polls are nationwide and therefore worthless. They do that because they are cheaper and the Democrats always win because of NY and CA.

348 I dunno, Kreplach; it DOES seems as though there are leaks that show someone's on it, and it seems they are carefully timed (EG, infor re Ohr-Steele contacts after "firing") How else would this surface?

Posted by: Infidel at August 11, 2018 09:31 AM (1yVF3)

Sometimes it's obvious e.g.
Fixing loose mailbox last week after we removed Neighbor's bush that was pushing on it.
Needed longer screws in mounting plate. Noticed distinct "Dad was here" pencil marks for cuts and screw locations.

Says thanks to 6+ years gone Dad and Neighbor who had longer screws to put in.

The only things that are leaking are from the deep state to get ahead of things that are being revealed mostly due to Judicial Watch lawsuits.
