EMT 3/03/18 Beware the IG's of March

Inspector General's report on FBI/DOJ's activity vis-a-vis Russian "collusion" drops this month.

Based on the rumblings and what little has been released so far, it's shaping up to be a serious Schiff-storm.

And during the week JJ is posting at 6 central...MOL...unless he get's a better offer...almost always by 6:30 though

6 My guess is McCabe and his friends were into some very illegal activities as the bequest of the Whitehouse. Leaking investigations, covering up and rewriting interviews. Uncovering Americans names. Lying to judges to get surveillance. Makes Watergate seem like High School senior prank.

9 Wow! It's not often I'm up for the EMT. I crashed early last night before the ONT, and of course woke up early. Luckily it's Saturday.

They let me out of work early. I needed some help from cow-orkers pushing me out of the parking lot, but once I got on the road it wasn't too bad. The main roads were slushy but passable. I just took it easy. There were a few traffic lights that were out, and some people pulled out in front of me from side streets, which kept me on my toes.

When I arrived home, about 1/3 of my driveway was in the wind-shadow of a large bush and was snow-free. But there was a pretty big drift between there and the garage. I went into it and bogged down. I backed up to the clear area, got some traction, and went forward again. Going back and forth like that several times, I eventually made it into the garage.

When the real heavy snow falls and the plow has pushed up a nice pile of it in front of my driveway, I back into to it. Going back and forth a little at a time. That way with a front wheel drive car the drive tires are in a "cleared" area.

Just a couple of days ago I noticed how the yard was covered with them and made a mental note to go out and clean them up as soon a I get a nice weekend.

When I got home last night I couldn't believe how many new ones were lying on top of the snow! It was like the storm pruned the tree. Which is a good thing, I guess.

26 2 killed at Central Michigan University, gunman 'armed and dangerous' still at large

Mount Pleasant officials are searching for James Eric Davis Jr., a 19-year-old black man who opened fire inside Campbell Hall at Central Michigan University around 8:30 a.m. Police described the shooting as a 'family-type domestic issue.'

The people he shot were his parents and I am sure the university was a gun free zone. As well as the fact that he was under 21 and he used a pistol which was illegal for him to have.

Update @0415: He has been apprehended. Family and friends 'shocked'. He was such a nice boy.

The temperature went down to 34-35 and I got about 3-4" of wet, heavy, slushy snow. Scattered intermittent power outages meant some traffic lights were out, which made for an interesting commute home.

The last time I looked at the SC code the punishment was tailored to the false report. If it was a misdemeanor offense the false report was a misdemeanor. But if it was a felony, the crime was a felony. Accusation of a violent rape in SC is a felony.

The SLS is definitely a jobs program, but NASA on the whole isn't.

The moon race in the 1960s was an important battle in the Cold War, and NASA kicked the commies' asses.

The list of groundbreaking NASA planetary missions is endless. Pioneer, Voyager, the Mars rovers, Cassini, and the stunning Pluto flyby a couple of years ago, just to name a few off the top of my head..

Russia has launched about a dozen Mars missions since the early 60s, and not a single one succeeded. They are really snake-bit in that area.

Meanwhile, India successfully put a satellite into orbit around Mars on their first try. Go figure.

130 26 Illegals amnesty turds lose a big one.

It is a big one. During TFG's reign of error, illegals set for deportation could only be held for 6 months and if they weren't gone by then, according to another bonehead lower court ruling, they had to be released. No more.

TFG refused to make other countries take back their dirtbags, and so they were set loose upon us yet again. Trump is of course using our withholding financial aid packages and other pressures to make moar places take back their wayward citizens, but now even if they refuse we can essentially hold em indefinitely.

It's not the best option, but much better than releasing thugs back onto the US population. Buh-bye, catch and release. Well, at least one version of it.

Watergate was always the biggest pile of nothing that the commiecrats jerked off to; something a true crooked pile of shit like Lyndon Johnson would do on a slow morning. Dense Woodward and that fat fuck Bernstein were tooled by that human fail machine, Mark Felt, who was the one stupid cocksucker most responsible for Bill Ayers not being thrown into prison forever and a day. He gave those ignorant bastards one pile of bullshit after another and they lapped it up like Pavlov's dog.

The ironic thing was that Watergate was all about getting that dumbass McGovern nominated, which is what all the stupid progs wanted and which they got. If the assholes had functioning cortexes they might reflect on that instead of whatever base instincts they fixate on.

"Hupersons should person the sheepparts against (tortured revisions pushed by feminist radicals). ..."

So the IG report comes out in mid-March. Bet it happens while I'm on vacation, and I won't learn about it because I'll have this phone off to conserve power.

I told the cashier that I thought the Orthos were too smart to throw away cash on that garbage and she said that he was buying it for his son. Needless to say that initiated a rant on parents teaching their children the wrong fucking thing. I guess the concept of winning through just dumb luck has a universal appeal.

I'll make an argument:

I'll say that anyone younger than 18 can vote if he or she is married, a high school graduate or earns at least $1,000 in taxable income. Such people have taken significant steps into the adult world.

I'll also say that anyone with the right to vote also has the right to buy cigarettes. I would insist on this point. Let's see how that would fly.

Posted by: Skandia Recluse at March 03, 2018 06:22 AM (roQNm)

Oh please. It was Eisenhower who ordered the creation of NASA (out of the older NACA) to start with, because he wanted the space program to be a civilian operations. Up until that point, it was the military that had been working on the problem.

And something else that some people seem bound and determined to ignore are the political realities here. Whether it was back in the late 1950s, when the space program really got started, or today, sure, they could have kept the operation concentrated in a handful of states. But had they done so, we never would have gone anywhere in space. The money had to be spread around the country or else the job would never have been done. It's the nature of the beast.

My minister emailed me recently, and as a result of the ensuing conversation I am now a man without a church. Apparently, the Episcopal denomination has too many adherents and so I have to leave. I am very sad about it, because I love services, but I guess it was sort of inevitable.

237 "Apparently, the Episcopal denomination has too many adherents and so I have to leave. I am very sad about it, because I love services, but I guess it was sort of inevitable."

I know the feeling.

I've left the local Presbyterian Church I'm still technically a member of for the same reason. I wasn't asked to, but you get tired of being obviously given the cold shoulder by all of the leadership solely because they're hard libs and it's their policy to sideline anyone who doesn't praise them personally. Well, I look at national numbers and that group has got maybe 20 years left and they're finished.

Posted by: Tom Servo at March 03, 2018 09:51 AM (V2Yro)

238 Huck, that's a shame.

I'm glad to be United Methodist. Officially lefty but more moderate in practice. The pastors I've heard steer mostly clear of politics.

Sermon a couple of weeks ago was on the Broward killings. Pastor singled out a YT video of a guy who sawed apart his AR-15 because he concluded that it was meant only for killing. Yet pastor didn't go as far as proclaiming that gun ownership is sinful. (We have no firearms in our house.)

Now some of this may be because we're in Oklahoma. I've heard that the UMC in other states is more extreme. But I'm not there, so it works out.

I don't talk much politics either, but I did cut off a fellow member who started off, "I support the Second Amendment, but --"

I interjected, "No. Either you do or you don't."

Wonder how she'll greet me tomorrow.
