Of Course: Hillary Clinton hostaet-Man Sydney Blumenthal Was "Interviewed," For Some Reason, by the FBI In Connection With the Fake "Steele" Dossier

What if it wasn't the Steele Dossier? What if it was the Blumenthal Dossier with Steele's name on it to make it stink less of self-interest?

Pure speculation on my part. But Blumenthal was being paid $10,000 per month by the Clinton Foundation as a "consultant" -- including running a "private intelligence network" along with a former CIA officer named Drumheller.

I'd like to know why, exactly, the FBI thought they needed to interview Sidney Blumenthal about this dossier which I'm sure he had nothing to do with.

Sidney Blumenthal, a former journalist and a close friend of Clinton, was interviewed by the FBI in 2016 regarding the dossier that alleged Trump colluded with Russia, the sources stated. Department of Justice officials, however, declined to comment on Blumenthal or the dossier.

FBI officials declined to comment.

Blumenthal did not return a phone call seeking comment.

And "Sid Vicious" was one of the most ferociously conspiratorial of the Clinton partisans:

After the 2016 presidential election, Blumenthal told Dutch TV Nieuwsuur that Clinton's loss to Trump "was the result of a cabal of right-wing agents of the FBI in the New York office attached to Rudy Giuliani, who was a member of Trump's campaign."

"I think it's not unfair to call it a coup," said Blumenthal.

"A coup, even?" the reporter said.

Blumenthal added, "yeah, a coup d'etat."

A theory is starting to form in my head: Hillary's team cooked up the Dossier and attempted to get an FBI file opened on Trump after the email investigation into Hillary began -- so that she could say "It's not just me being investigated, it's both of us. You mean, wipe with the cloth?"

And of course Comey's FBI went along.

I've been thinking that for some time. They handed it off to Steele to hand back to them for a veneer of authenticity.

15 I don't believe there is any question Blumenthal was involved. He has often boasted of his connections to various intelligence agencies around the world and access to top secret information. He's a natural starting point for the people from Fusion and this scheme is typical of his operations.

The plan was to indeed get people within the FBI to open up a case, then pursue surveillance as a means of spying. Blumenthal knew exactly what would be need to do that including the FISA warrant.

I will say it once again, there is a demonstrable, provable conspiracy to use government assets and personnel for political spying.

And if you believe Obama didn't know it was happening, or his AG, think again. This required their involvement.

I'm convinced the First Grifters have only been as successful as they are for as long as they have been because the shifty people in their orbit are the true movers and shakers, and know where all the bodies are buried (probably having put some in the ground themselves). And deep down in our hearts, we KNOW nothing is ever going to happen. Investigations will be had, press conferences will be made, talking points played to the party faithful. But nobody goes to jail. Nobody even gets a trial or even arrested. And our Republic will continue to edge closer and closer to the precipice like Thelma Louise's car.

Close... but add a layer...

Hillary and Obama people in the FBI already had an investigation on Trump going... but could not get a warrant... FISA had turned them down (once of only 4 ever turned down, out of hundreds).

We KNOW that Steele had contact with the FBI, and was given information by them.

The Dossier was written, bought, and paid for, to give the FBI 'probable' cause because the FISA court had already turned them down once.

And it worked... they got their warrant.

From following Sundance at CTH, I have the impression that there are two teams involved. Trump's team and the Deep State. So far Trump's team has been making steady progress and the enemy is being pushed back. There are a very small number of people (Rosenstein is one) to which it is very difficult to assign a team.

92 28 A theory is starting to form in my head: Hillary's team cooked up the Dossier and attempted to get an FBI file opened on Trump after the email investigation into Hillary began -- so that she could say "It's not just me being investigated, it's both of us. You mean, wipe with the cloth?"

Close... but add a layer...

We know from the FISA court decision regarding abuse of FISA "about" queries used to spy on Americans that was released in April of 2017, unexpectedly, no really FISA court decisions are rarely unclassified and released but this one was, that the Obama administration was abusing he process for years, likely since the beginning of the first term.

We also know that there were "private contractors" who were given access to raw intel in violation of the law.

Given the tight ties between Fusion and certain DOJ personnel it wouldn't surprise me in the least if at least one of those private contractors was Fusion GPS. I also wouldn't be surprised if they basically wrote the dossier.

Major development in House Intel Committee after vote to release Glenn Simpson transcript. Rep Peter King offered motion to allow all House members to review a brief report summarizing committee investigation into what is called FISA abuse.
The motion was passed with a party line vote. Every Dem voted against it. IMO its clear that the Simpson testimony is what the Dems wanted released, not the summary of the House Intel Committee investigation into FISA abuse. Everyone in the House knows that they leak like a sieve and the last thing the Dems want is a damaging FISA abuse summary getting out.

185 The sheer scope of the conspiracy and corruption is the greatest difficulty in getting the American people to understand it and demand that every last rascal be put in PMITA Federal prison.

There is the fundamental campaign/election law violation and charity fraud throughout the Clinton Foundation that has illegally funded the political ambitions of Machine Clinton for years. There was illegal (true) collusion, or coordination between the DNC and the Hillary campaign to evade election law donor limits. There was illegal leaking from FBI and Justice in the service of Clinton Inc. There was abuse of office by Power, Rhodes and the JEF In Chief in illegally unmasking information on a private citizen, itself gathered by a sham FISA warrant.

All this mirrored by the non-prosecution by FBI and Justice of clearly criminal conduct by Madame Clinton in terms of the Espionage Act, at a minimum, and the active cover up by the FBI in rewriting its non-prosecution memos well prior to gathering the facts.

I know for a fact that Shoutin' Trey Gowdy doesn't have the chops to get this across. He's essentially an ADD loudmouth in my opinion who was the beneficiary of the normal advantages of a prosecutor to garner a "high conviction rate" without actually being able to explain things to people.

Will Snoozy Sessions at some point (when all the radioactive "recusal" dust settles) announce a series of prosecutions in a well articulated press conference? I actually believe he could be one of the more effective messengers, but I have no idea if he has the inclination or drive to do it.

We have all the dots, and in a little more time there should be a wealth of evidence. What we need is a Great Explainer.

While I agree with this, losing a job for speaking out of turn is a powerful motivation to remain silent, I have a gnawing feeling that Trump and Sessions are doing exactly what needs to be done to crush the Clintons, the Obamas and their diseased acolytes and sponsors.

A comment I read last night, suggested that Trump's success comes from his DGAF attitude and not from some grand strategic plan. I believe the opposite. Jeff aka Sleepy or the Silent Assassin Sessions could not start his tenure with the broad and public investigation of Hillushery. That smacks of 3rd World despotism, and no better than Obama's abuse of power. Better to let the case unfold under its own momentum. Then the AG will act, when he has "no option" rather than by a perceived act of revenge.

President Trump for his part adds to the offensive, placing seemingly random tweets which highlight some of the abuses, getting the media spun up trying to dispute the accusations which will be a lot of fun when all of the furious denials, false "fact checking" and deliberate malfeasance pool on the surface of the draining swamp and even the most ambivalent American is faced with the overwhelming evidence that the magical Obama years were more akin to 8 years in North Korea than being a good period of American life. Just my belief.

I always thought that this would be a key pressure point. Theree must be documents with her name on them that requested the unmaskings. If she denies their authenticity, the investigators should see who actually did it, and, if Power can't/won't point to that individual and accuse, implicate and testify against their unauthorized use of her name to request unmaskings, then prosecute Power since she won't refute the documents in court.

286 omment I read last night, suggested that Trump's success comes from his DGAF attitude and not from some grand strategic plan.

So far, there's one sailor in jail for taking a picture on a sub. Other than that, I can't think of anyone else, even after Jim Comey laid out all of Her Heinous' illegal actions.

Well that has always been the law for Americans and never for foreigners. The problem was the "about" process which opened it up to Americans was far too easy to abuse which is exactly what happened here.

Nunes' amendment was designed to tighten up the process.

331 "I've never understood the obsession with this sleepy shit. What do people expect him to do, hold daily press conferences to give an update on a classified investigation that he isn't even overseeing?"

First, you must be able to name the enemy. It's kind of like the Islamic terrorism thing. If you can't say it, you can't beat it.

Second, leaders set priorities, and they do so by announcing what they are, acting in ways that align with those.

If you have some big secret behind the scenes thing, it isn't a priority.

333 This all goes back to the private server.

Recall how classified documents appeared on the server with the "classified " header washed off?

S. Powers submitted the unmasking request.
That allows her access to any and all dirt--confirmed or alleged--onTrump.
She sends to Hill at State.
She washes the header, sends to/from private server to Sid.
Sid can now pass classified, illegally info with plausible deniability.
He then sends to Steele.
Steele's memo now appears to "confirm" some of the dirt intell hasn't been able to confirm.
Now they have grounds to wiretapp.

And, Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States.

A slam dunk case that should include some prison time, and yet no boot on her very long neck? Why?

To ax is to answer.

I'm certain that someone somewhere is keeping track of all the
violations (both legal and policy-wise) vs who's getting punished.

So far, there's one sailor in jail for taking a picture on a sub.
Other than that, I can't think of anyone else, even after Jim Comey laid
out all of Her Heinous' illegal actions.

I sure hope this is playing out as someone mentioned upthread where
Sessions couldn't be seen going after Her Heinous immediately after
PDT's election because that'd look pretty third-world-ish to Progda even
though real, live, very serious laws were broken.

I guess if it takes a year or two to build a good solid case against the Clinton Cabal, it'll be worth it.

You have to identify, out, and then remove. Which is being done, if you have been paying attention.

However, most people were going "Sleepy! Sleepy! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" and not wanting to take those first necessary steps, instead they were running around screaming "Citizens Arrest!" like a bunch of demented Gomer Pyles. Which would have been a complete waste of time. But hey, they would have felt good for at least five minutes - before wailing about how the investigations and trial s of Hillary, Inc. and Obama & Co. were totally botched.

357 Read TrumpSoldier@DaveNYviii , the DOJ Nat Security Division was spying on Trump during the entire campaign.
As were a cabal of people in the FBI.
The dossier was created by Fusion, NOT Steele. The dossier contained some truths from the illegal surveillance, but mostly lies and impossible to verify claims. Some came from Steele, but most were from Fusion. The most likely explanation for the confusion over what Michael Cohen was in Prague was they did a query of the wrong Cohen.
The dossier was used as justification for the FISA court, but it was really fig leaf.
Hastly written, full of easy to determine errors like Alfa Bank (Russia) being misnamed and other errors.
This was 100% Clinton inspired.
