Allegation: Louis C.K. Is a Big Fat Sweaty Jerkoff

Rumors about his public masturbation in front of unwilling women have swirled for years -- I've been reading about it for a while -- and now Instapundit quotes the New York Times reporting on on-the-record witnesses.

As soon as they sat down in his room, still wrapped in their winter jackets and hats, Louis C.K. asked if he could take out his penis, the women said.

They thought it was a joke and laughed it off. "And then he really did it," Ms. Goodman said in an interview with The New York Times. "He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating."

In 2003, Abby Schachner called Louis C.K. to invite him to one of her shows, and during the phone conversation, she said, she could hear him masturbating as they spoke. Another comedian, Rebecca Corry, said that while she was appearing with Louis C.K. on a television pilot in 2005, he asked if he could masturbate in front of her. She declined.

I'd like to offer this beleaguered progressive darling my thoughts and prayers.

Incidentally, I watched Mindhunter on Amazon Netflix. It's based loosely on the book Mindhunter by FBI Criminal Profiling pioneer John Douglas (and his co-author).

Two points made in the show:

1. There are a lot of psychopaths who are not killers, but rather accomplished members of society. They don't kill because they have "other leanings," but they still have psychopathic traits such as lack of remorse, skill at manipulation, and failure to imagine that other people's feelings actually matter.

2. A lot of "sex" psychopaths get off on isn't what you'd normally consider sex, because sex (as such) isn't really the end-game: the end-game is humiliation and domination. The sexual component, to the extent it exists, is just a means to this true end.

The show is pretty good, though I was frequently annoyed at the fact that it's fictionalized version of the book, and I didn't know what was real and what was fake. The main character isn't even called John Douglas; he's called "Holden Ford," though he's clearly doing the major things John Douglas did.

Here's something I wasn't sure was real: Were these guys really putting their limited understanding of criminal profiling to solve "lust murder" crimes even while just beginning their exploration into the completely new field? Was that just made up to satisfy the genre requirements of solving serial killer crimes? Were those cases actually after they'd developed the criminal profiling method?

Some stuff I know must be made up, like the sociologist character specializing in deviant psychology that "Holden Ford" is dating. A character who exists, conveniently enough, to make various psychological commentaries as "Holden Ford" does his research. Oh, and also to attempt kinky fetish-based sex with him right after he interviews a fetish-obsessed serial killer, to sort of show that normal people have these sorts of traits too.

Also, we've already kind of seen this. In a movie called "Manhunter," the first movie with Hannibal Lecter. They say that it's the head of the unit in those movies that's based on Douglas; but it seems that protagonist Will Graham is based on him too. Because this character "Holden Ford" also goes through the "getting too close to psychopaths" thing, and through the "beginning to exhibit psycopathic traits" himself thing.

Also, he gleans insights from a Hannnibal Lecter type (real world Coed Killer Ed Kemper) and has a weird, dangerous sorta-friendship with him.

Eh, it's okay. Worth a watch. Some of the dialogue is very stilted and the main actor takes some getting used to. He seems to be on the spectrum, though they don't say so, and though he seems to have some abilities that someone on the spectrum would be unlikely to have, like being able to read psychopaths quickly and figure out the right way to manipulate them into talking. (Strangely, he lacks the ability to read normal people and is frequently confused as to what people are thinking, or why they're reacting badly to his ideas.)

Overall though, pretty decent if you like criminal profiling.

BTW, Mindhunter wasn't a great book. I read it to get a sense of how criminal profiling worked. He was very vague, like he was trying to hide all the secrets of the field while just giving a tease about them. One of the few things I remember is the distinction between "organized" and "disorganized" killers (mentioned in the show, too).

He did have an interesting explanation of what's important in a murder, though. Basically, separate out the M.O. from the signature. The M.O. is all the stuff that has to be done, and is logically done, in furtherance of the crime. Binding a victim's wrists isn't all that telling, because, if kidnap/rape/murder is your aim, you just need to do that.

On the other hand, binding someone in a very specific way, say trussed up like a deer, isn't strictly necessary to the crime, so that isn't something the person has just done in furtherance of the crime, but a thing they emotionally need to do, not part of the sequence of acts needed to execute the crime, but part of the ritual of the act, part of the fantasy driving all this.

M.O. is driven by an intellectual/practical process, whereas ritual/signature is driven by emotional/psychological impulses. The latter tells you about the why of the crime.

That part was pretty interesting and something I only understood from the book, and not from the ten million criminal profiling books and movies I've read/watched.

Most of the rest of the book was really elliptical stuff where he'd tell you his conclusions about this or that case without explaining the reasoning that got him from the crime scene to the unsub profile.

Cats systems are weird - not like dogs. I hesitate to give any advice other than keep her hydrated as much as possible and get her to the vet. Wish I had more.

88 I like Manhunter a lot, its a great movie. Very stylized but excellent.

He is stated to specifically have gotten in too deep in the past working with these guys, digging into their mindset to catch them, and not quite digging out again.

Yeah that entire thing just doesn't work for me. Its kind of obviously just a way to get hot girl into the series, put some sex in, and make strong grrl important to his past. The entire relationship makes no sense.

My previous comment was about Manhunter, not Mindhunter so... ignore that.

I liked how well done the show is, how well directed it is, and how very accurate it is to the time period (except for all the digital clocks, they weren't that prevalent in the mid 70s). But I also have real problems with the show and the first season ended very strangely.

She has seemed normal except for she was losing weight.
Sunday I could tell she didn't feel well,
The vet is stumped, could be diabetes, thyroid, she does have 2 teeth that need to be pulled but she's eating.
She didn't vomit yesterday. She ate this am and threw up. I gave her some more food about an hour ago and she threw that up as well.
I pulled her food away.

She just threw up again. She is begging for chicken but I'm not feeding her until her stomach calms down.

I found this out the other day, when, coincidentally enough, I was looking into these rumors, wondering when the Louis CK story would break.

His last name is something like Szekeey, with an accent over the first e. It's... I don't know, Czech or Albanian or something. Because people couldn't pronounce his name he made his stage name "C.K." which is a close cousin of how you pronounce Szekeley. (Despite the l, there is no l sound in the end of the word; it's pronounced seekey._

This public whacking off: that reminds of me of story. It was a female male carrier in our little town (not so little any more). My mother became a rural carrier and we got to know this lady.

Anyway, it was back in the 70s. It was in town, and the mailboxes were on the porch or front stoop -- you know those type boxes. The carrier would walk up and drop the mail in.

Well, one guy had an enclosed front porch. She went up there one time, and to make a long story short, discovered the dude was out there and was whacking to her. He did that a lot.

She said she could hear him, going sort of "Heh, heh, hed. Uhhh, Uhhhh". Creeped her out big time.

Now, they got the postal inspectors on his ass. Got photos of him doing it with telephoto lens. Busted his ass good.

Don't mess with the Mail cops.

214 Rumors about his public masturbation in front of unwilling women have swirled for years -- I've been reading about it for a while -- and now Instapundit quotes the New York Times reporting on on-the-record witnesses.

++++

But, were they unwilling? I don't know about the rumors you've heard, but all the details in the NYT piece indicate that
1. He asked.
2. There were some that said no, but he didn't go proceed after the no.
3. Some of the ones who didn't say no think it was creepy.

And, creepy it is, but so is a lot of other things that people get up to during sex. A guy sodomizing another guy seems pretty creepy too. Way more so that jerking it in front of a woman.

If the women went along at the time, I don't see the problem. If other women said no, and he accepted that answer, still not seeing a problem.

Creepy, yes. But, worthy of ostracizing? No.

279 2. A lot of "sex" psychopaths get off on isn't what you'd normally consider sex, because sex (as such) isn't really the end-game: the end-game is humiliation and domination. The sexual component, to the extent it exists, is just a means to this true end.

It's very clear that what Weinstein was after was the thrill of humiliation and that was the sexual component for him. That's also what tossing off in front of someone who has not agreed to be part of that act is, it's about humiliating them. That's the orgasm, watching them squirm, not the physical act itself.

Has anyone else seen Shame with Michael Fassbender? That depicts a person who has sexual compulsions and it's well done because the sex in it, which is quite explicit, is very much a rote act. There's nothing joyful about it, it's a purely mechanical function. It's something that needs to be endured, not enjoyed.

Also, holy crap, talk about tripods and apparently that's actually Michael's Fassbender. We're talking in the get that thing away from me end of the bell curve.

I dunno.

I remember when I first read the stories of Bill Clinton's MO when he was AG and Govr in Arkansas. He'd get an aide (often a cop) to bring the girl to his room/office, at which point he would whip it out and tell her to service him.

What amazed me is that this apparently worked. Or I assume it did since he didn't change the MO.
Sure, there were girls like Paula Jones who exited in disgust and one in particular who screamed, creating an embarrassing scene. I'm sure there were many more we don't know about that fled.
But it had to work on a lot of them. didn't it?

Or did that matter? Maybe the flashing --- which is what it was --- was fun in and of itself. If it led to more, that was fine but not necessary.
I just don't know.

I will say that I have asked a great many females of all ages about this MO and invariably their reaction is overwhelmingly negative, even if I stipulate a handsome man you have a crush on.

Again, I dunno.

299 This thing about sex being power when its icky sex has never worked for me. Rape isn't sexual, its about power! No, its sexual. Its also about power, but its sexual. I understand that if your life revolves around your next orgasm and sex is your secular religion's highest sacramental ritual, you don't want it associated with bad things, but that doesn't make your insistence true.

If it was just about power, then rapists would exclusively target the easily overpowered and weak, and they do not. Many if not most rape victims are also attractive women. That has nothing to do with power.

the girlfriend was really... challenging. Always sniping. The sex stuff was a turn-off.

I did like the psychologist who works with them.

I was annoyed when they made her a Statistically Improbable Lesbian because of course she has to be.

Also, given that she's a psychologist, and has empathy for perverts and psychopaths, what's with her getting all fussy about Holden Ford using ugly language to getting Richard Speck to talk?

The show annoyed me a lot by having people, who ought to know better, flying off the handle at fairly obvious gambits.

Like the partner. Mostly I liked him, but he would frequently get all judgemental and hostile during interviews and make the psycho stop talking. Even though he himself was acquainted with this whole field of psychopathy, and was a vigorous champion of the interviews.

So like he can't keep it together talking to a psycho?

The show does that a lot. Everyone's always wrong and hyperemotional, even when it makes no sense at all, except Holden Ford, who is emotionless, except when he acts jealous or like a psycho.

I bet grammie has a lot of war stories from her time as a vet tech. I'm starting to understand why my vet's techs laughed the first time I brought my kittehs for their annual checkup and one of them had peed on the towel in her carrier on the way over. I apologized for causing them trouble; they just matter-of-factly rinsed out the towel and put it in a plastic bag for me to take home, and then they laughed. I asked them what was so funny and they told me I had no idea what "causing trouble for the vet" can include. 336 My only issue with Mindhunter is the dialog. Sometimes, the characters use words/phrases that simply were not in vogue during the 70s.

Yeah, every writer has to use modern stuff like "...right?" in their dialog now. Its pretty true to 70s in a lot of other ways like smoking, the cars, the clothes, the look of the towns and cities, the decor, the offices, the attitudes, etc. Especially the older FBI agent.

339 the "ed" character in LA Confidential used all sorts of ugly language in his interrogations, and that was set in the late 40s.

I know that's fiction but I'm just having trouble believing cops never heard this stuff before, or get all squicky about it, or get amazed at obvious gambits like bringing the murder weapoon to an interrogation to provoke a reaction in the suspect.

But I don't KNOW that's all fake -- who knows, maybe the FBI (or law enforcement generally) really WERE that primitive in the 70s that these things seem like huge, bizarre violations of protocol.

That's what's frustrating about the show. I don't know if it's bullshit. It seems like bullshit, but I can't quite say it is, because I don't know.

Ahhhh, yes. The character live for the plot, not the plot for the characters.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of plot based works but don't have the characters be actively stupid or react in ludicrous ways merely because you need to do that to advance the plot. If you do, the problem is the writing, not the characters.

They aren't. The leaders of the House budget committee and Senate budget committee are meeting with Mnuchin right now in the White House and Trump just sent a message of congratulations to the Senate.

There are different rules that each House has to use when passing a bill under budget reconciliation. The key is to get a bill done and get it into the committee where it all gets changed anyway.

363 Cali Girl; Peaches: I have a fourteen year old cat whose appetite has gone south and seems to have an upper respiratory infection of some kind. She has a vet's appointment this Tuesday coming up, but she was starting to worry me a lot. I bought a pound of ground chicken, simmered it very slowly and am feeding it to her a tablespoon of so at a time. Including the cooking liquid is very important. Madame would just as soon have the broth as the chicken itself. Boiled, unsalted chicken is my answer to every cat issue, followed by Gerber's baby chicken. You might try cooking a little rice with the chicken because rice is very easily digestible. (Unfortunately, boiled chicken and rice does not solve either blindness or sheer, absolute hatred of being forced to share space with two uninvited invaders.) Good luck. Cats are tricky little devils, especially when they are not feelin up to par. My vet calls them "master magicians" because they are so good at hiding any illness or other weakness until it's damn near too late. (Around here, the grocery stores occasionally have sales on chicken hind quarters -- usually $4.00 or so for a ten pound package. Cook up the whole package, cool it, bone it, then divide it into small packages and freeze it for times like this.)

400 Mindhunter I found that if you fast forward through any scene that the main character's girlfriend is in, and any solo scene involving the women, you miss nothing. Nothing. There are too many scenes that are there either because the actors wanted more screen time or they had to pad out the length of the show.

Honestly, Marvel's Netflix shows do that too much too. A lot of Daredevil is padding. Its like they have 60 minutes of plot and 90 minutes of screen time.

To be fair, a lot of 70s TV shows were like that. Long scenes of getting into the car. Driving the car. Turning onto a street. Parking the car. Getting out of the car.

Dude. We know how cars work.

416 Ok, about the cat question.

First of all, if your cat is not eating some types of food, it is for a reason. The food could be contaminated, etc. Or just plain sick of it.

If your cat wants to eat chicken, give her the god damn chicken.

She's losing weight but wants to eat chicken? Again, give her the god damn chicken. She's hungry.

Why starve your cat or make her wait till you want to give her food?

I left bowls of dry food out all day and night for my cats and opened canned food whenever they wanted. They didn't get fat and there was always food available for them.

430 Of one thing I am certain. If the Dems and GOPe get rid of Trump, it's not like the whoever elected Trump is going to be jazzed up about voting for Jeb! or Katshit in 2020.

The GOPe wants one thing out of life - to be loved like democrats. To be worshipped by the press. To go to all the right parties. The GOPe hates and despises its base, all they want - and all they really need to be out of power hangers-on - is for the CoC and the other northeast style republicans to vote for them. They don't care if they are in the minority, in fact I think they dig it. It's less work for them and they don't have to take votes that makes them stand out as icky conservatives.

And after two seasons I realized that the writing was suffering and becoming a bit too social justicey. For one thing, there are almost never any non-white male serial killers which is patently bullcrap. They're mostly but not exclusively or even extremely high percentage white guys.

The one non-white male was a female and she was treated with extreme sympathy.

489 Now I have to watch this. Zeppelin are or were notorious for never allowing any of their tunes to be used in films, TV or adverts.

And it was from their most underrated album, Presence. The music worked well for the scene but the scene was very... strange. It felt all wrong, and not in a "that was eerie" way, but rather "what the hell kind of writing is that?" Way.

I'm happy to know I pay so little attention to Hollywood - and the Entertainment Industry, in general - that I have no idea who Louis C.K. is.

In fact, I don't know of half of these degenerates making the news recently.

And I'm early 50s, and pay attention to most things.
Except Hollywood and television. They hate me. I hate them.

Next.

Women are attracted to alpha behavior. It's just that in modern society, it's usually only the bad boys, jerks, and narcissists who display the alpha behavior openly.

Here's quote about that from a Study in Scarlet

“I consider that a man's brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose. A fool takes in all the lumber of every sort that he comes across, so that the knowledge which might be useful to him gets crowded out, or at best is jumbled up with a lot of other things, so that he has a difficulty in laying his hands upon it. Now the skillful workman is very careful indeed as to what he takes into his brain-attic. He will have nothing but the tools which may help him in doing his work, but of these he has a large assortment, and all in the most perfect order. It is a mistake to think that that little room has elastic walls and can distend to any extent. Depend upon it there comes a time when for every addition of knowledge you forget something that you knew before. It is of the highest importance, therefore, not to have useless facts elbowing out the useful ones.”

499 So I know its a topic from a lower thread - but I read the Judge Moore stuff and . . . well I am calling absolute b*llsh*t on it. Thsi wil fall apart as soon as anyone starts to actually look into the background of these three "women" *cough* *spit* democrat/GOPe operatives. What absolute hogwash.

And I also can't stand the " that doesn't sound like a denial" baloney either, the guy absolutely denied it by saying , and I quote, that is was "completely falseand a desperate political attack." and also stated:

"This garbage is the very definition of fake news and intentional defamation."
The campaign then also issued a full statement regarding how it was an orchestrated false attack - Frankly anyone who reads all this and says "hmm that doesn't sound like a denial" is ether a dickhead or a Democrat ( BIRM) and McTurtle saying "if true he should resign"? BeJayzus I am pissed. F*ck you Turtle. F*ck. You. When will these f*ckers learn to just say - "I have not heard about all the facts of this, nor do I have any personal knowledge of any such behavior by Moore, so I have no comment until I fully briefed and I would caution everyone else to do likewise.

The guy has a double digit lead. This is a hit job by the liberal, DNC/GOPe propaganda arm known as the MSM

Usually its a bad idea to believe what women say when they describe what they find attractive and not attractive about men. they aren't lying, they are just blinded by their own drivers and social need to publicly conform to the published norms of their identity circle.

511 Legendary Broadway producer Jed Harris, renowned as a vicious man, also liked to hold meetings in a "state of Nature" -- he had a meeting in his office with famous comedy playwrights George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart once, and the two writers noticed that Harris was naked behind his desk. They ignored this studiously, even when he got up and walked around, clearly angling for a reaction. Finally the meeting was done; Kaufman and Hart exited the room, but at the doorway, Kaufman turned back and said,

"By the way, Jed, your fly's unzipped."

But the reason I'm not panicking is because the little wretch has allergies and sounds stuffed up 24/7. She is also eating about as well as usual. I'm stuffing her with chicken to bulk her up a little because she's fourteen and getting a little scrawny. Being blind and then stuck with the two cats I brought home when I closed my bookstore has made her really cranky.
