She's also a perfect example of the real reason ESPN’s original programming is sucking wind: she's a really lousy television host, having nothing to do with her politics. The SC6 branded show is not a good one, in part because you have two co-hosts who both are more serious and overly sincere than they are charismatic or quick with the snark. You don’t have the classic goofy/straight pairing, and they lack the tension of two co-hosts who disagree constantly. Neither is a particularly good interviewer, nor have they shown the ability to offer insight on sports that is deep, funny, or entertaining. The show is reduced to two fairly boring people sitting at a cramped table full of papers and laptops on a set that looks unchanged for the past twenty years talking about sports with less insight than a pair at the end of the neighborhood bar. Unpossible. EVERY cable company pays a fee to ESPN based on number of TOTAL subscribers. You then pay a fee on top of that to get ESPN.
If the total shitwads in our goverment gave two fucks about consumers they'd put an end to this rape.
The only way not to support ESPN? Cut the cable. Otherwise you're paying them about $120 dollars a year.

My wife, daughter and I love American Ninja Warrior but I hate the

can do despite the glaringly obvious fact that this is not true based
purely on the results of their competition. They even changed the rules
this year to ensure that 2 women would qualify from every city and then
had the audacity to say that those women "earned" a spot in the finals.

In grad school I played tennis with a girlfriend who used to get pissed because I kept hitting bullets within a foot of the baseline. (I'm actually not bad at tennis, or wasn't at one time, at any rate, and used to play a housemate who'd been on UCLA's tennis team.) She seemed to think the idea was for me to hit her racket with the ball.
With another girlfriend I played racquetball, which was also a bloodbath if I played normally. This one used to get pissed when I went easy on her, which she took to be patronizing.
Then I had an idea, and played her right-handed. (I'm left-handed.) That made it considerably closer, and I didn't have play pat-a-cake.

Absolutely. Comcast used to peel an extra $15.00 a month from me for renting equipment that was worth less than that brand new.
Now I own each and every Apple TV or Firestick. I own a tiny little $20 antennae that picks up some morning program the wife likes.
Best of all, I save a grand a year.

It wouldn't make much difference. The vast majority have never been charged, much less convicted of a felony --- which doesn't necessarily mean that they haven't committed one, of course.
But what would happen is that they would be even less likely to be charged than they are now.
(The exception would be in cases of 'domestic abuse,' where the mere accusation could derail a career.)

Yes. I always liked her on the Teevee, and hearing her on the radio was fun, because she let her NY accent come out. One of the very few female sports commentaters whose voice does not grate.

Anyway, I still think football is the greatest sport ever created. I played youth and high school and now help coach my son's youth team of 6th graders. I look forward to every practice.
But it is different today. The snowflake to football player ratio is about 80 to 10. Full speed drills almost look half speed much of the time, with more dancing than hitting. If you ride them hard enough (in the right way) they actually start showing some aggression and drive and you see a few minutes of old school football here or there. Slowly but surely we are making them into boys who could someday be men.

Marvel movie franchise has occasional bouts of sanity. I think it was in the first Avengers movie, Cap is whining about modern day ills, mentions global warming. Some sane person cut that from the film, though is in the DVD extras and though crazy SJW Whedon directed. But still, cut it was.
And they could have hired the OTT BLM SJW director lady for Black Panther, who no doubt would have done what they did to the horrible Coates written BP comic. Wisely they parted ways over "creative differences" and got a different black director.
