Admittedly, I'm still in recovery from 13 years of Catholic schoool education (with no do-overs) but somewhere along those lines, I was taught about "double negatives" (and not in Math class) and that a statement like "I leaked nothing to nobody" didn't at all preclude that one had "leaked something to somebody" unless the listener really. really wanted it to.

Wow...I remember seeing an interview with the Donald somewhere where it was revealed that when he bought Melania her engagement ring, he got it from some super exclusive jeweler in Manhattan in which you have to be invited to be a customer...and he negotiated the price on it, LOL.
By the way, Eric and Laura Trump were being interviewed this morning by Maria Baritoromo and were sitting in chairs in the studio with their two doggies, both beagles. Laura is a big supporter of dog rescues and the one beagle they rescued from a shelter in AZ during the campaign. The dog spent a month at a vet clinic to recover from looked like the either the worst case of mange I've ever seen, or he was burned.
They fostered him for three months and then decided they couldn't live without him.
Laura said she is working on PDT to get a WH dog, and since Pence is a dog lover, they both are piling on the president.
Also, Laura was just hired to work on PDT 2020 campaign. Yes, PDT is planning to run in 2020.

somewhere along those lines, I was taught about "double negatives" (and
not in Math class) and that a statement like "I leaked nothing to
nobody" didn't at all preclude that one had "leaked something to
somebody" unless the listener really. really wanted it to.

Highly misleading statements. First, it is not really routine but actually somewhat rare for the NSA to request unmasking, the NSA is a consumer of information not a creator.
Second, the only things the NSA should be dealing with are foreign policy and national security threats. We know that Rice was unmasking Trump officials from conversations that had nothing to do with Russia. We don't know what they are but what possible foreign policy or national security issues that have nothing to do with Russia could the Trump people be involved with a year before the election?
Forget the spin. This is a real scandal and there is more there.

I do not put it beyond the capacity of Assad to launch a gas attack, but I know it can be produced by the jihadists/"rebels" easily enough, and if it was being produced in a building in a populated area, an airstrike on that building could easily result in the release of sarin gas to the immediate area.

What I find interesting is that there is no definitive proof about what the chemical agent was.
They have the victims in Turkish hospitals... which is a NATO country..... we have tests for various chemical agents...
We could also easily get in and take ground samples, as it is supposedly in Rebel occupied territory....
For an international charge this large... you'd think everyone would be running tests... would be looking for that definitive proof....
Because from a GeoPolitical standpoint... Assad using Nerve agents on a small town held by rebels makes no real Military sense....

It makes no sense to use it, but I can't read the guy's mind. However, my limited knowledge of chem/bio weapons, says that Ricin and Sarin are both "easily" concocted by a bathroom chemist vice, weaponized anthrax or VX which require a formal laboratory to manufacture. I would not be surprised to find, when the final bomb has dropped, that the rebels/jihadists were fully engaged in the process of producing chemical weapons.

Libby was found guilty of obstructing the investigation and lying to the GJ. Special prosecutors always seem to be able to catch someone in a perjury trap and Bush should have pardoned him. He has a huge blindspot for following the rules and bending over backwards to not appear partisan but he went way to far on this.

I like the setting. This is taken in the central hall of the 2nd floor residence, west side. You can tell that by the window and the hint of the Executive Office Building outside. I can't recall any previous FLOTUS using a backdrop in the private residential floor --- but it works.

This king was not "installed" by the British, Jordan became a state long after the region was carved up post WW I .
Most of the middle east consists of tribes that have been moved in and out of the immediate region due to wars and conquests. Jordan is no different, although it's desire from it's founding is to be a moderate, progressive, modern Arab kingdom.
King Abdullah's website has a lot of historical info. He and his father have been strong allies of the USA and I have quite a bit of admiration for what he and Queen Rania have done to keep Jordan modern and to foster a more open society.
