Last night on CNN!!, that adorable gnome Richard Reich, in the manipulative manner that the Left is so fond of, accuses Berkeley rioters of being some sort of Breitbart paramilitary ninjas or something.
“I wouldn’t bet against it,” Reich said. “I saw these people. They all looked very– almost paramilitary. They were not from the campus. I don’t want to say factually, but I’ve heard there was some relationship here between these people and the right-wing movement that is affiliated with Breitbart News.”I think that calls for a conspiracy thread. I have heard it said, from many reputable sources, that Robert Reich is part of a super secret society whose sole purpose is to "accidentally" head-butt normal-sized men in the testicles with enough regularity to change the course of evolution. The Seal said that the protestors that showed up are the same ones that showed up to the inauguration and to Trump rallies, and previous Milo events that ended up being cancelled due to the mayhem.
He said that he had spoken prior to the event to the police at Berkeley who told him that their orders were that they were to stand by and NOT arrest anyone. That directive came from the administration and safety department at Berkeley.
These riots are being permitted (and encouraged) by the left wing administrators at these colleges. Milo's security guy also added that whenever Milo has spoken at a more centrist or conservative college, the police departments are completely different. They have a location for anti Milo protestors and another location for those who wish to hear him and they are kept separated. Those police can and do arrest and do not permit vandalism and damage. He sad the police on campuses such as Berkeley are completely neutered(his words) and are not permitted to police.

The "black bloc" have been around for years now, but if you watch closely, you'll see how smoothly coordinated their movements and actions are with the ostensibly "peaceful" protesters.
Especially when the black-bloc types do something extremely violent and intended to provoke the police, then need to get away quickly.
They run routes with the precision of a pro football wide receiver, and there are fellow travellers in those "peaceful" crowds who are prepositioned at particular spots, ready to step aside and let them past.

They come dressed as paramilitary, have some type of shield covered in a garbage bag, and they march in formation as one would see a trained army. It was his belief that these are trained, experienced rioters who expect and want violence and especially when they know there will be no consequences. He said they will march through a crowd of unarmed protestors and assume a defined position in order to begin the violence.
And I would think he would know what he is talking about.

Starve it financially - no elective federal appropriations it requires, strip everything you can out via reconciliation, no relief for insurers, no games on "risk corridors" (think those are already stymied).
Insurers are leaving the field, and in many states it is almost dead - i.e., no insurers participating.
Do everything to encourage insurers to cease participation.
Mount a (long over-due) PR campaign explaining the situation and the options, to set the stage to put the Dems - esp. those up in 2018 in the Senate - under maximum pressure. Schedule regular votes for repeal. Make them block it (THIS is the essence of Senate political mechanics, long abandoned by the GOP).
Keep up the pressure.

Trump was made into a monster. Nearly all of Hillary's money got spent on attack ads. Then you add all the cable channels going anti-Trump nearly 24/7 for months, which peaked with Pussygate. It was one of the most expensive branding campaigns in history, but all negative.
This worked somewhat with suburban women, less so elsewhere. If Trump has a good first term, most of this will wash away.

I had a conversation with my mechanic today about the riots. Guessing that he's either middle or right, and was pretty well informed.
In any case, we talked about rioting and insurance coverage. Many times unless it's written into a policy, it's not covered under general insurance.
The point in all of this? When you're dealing with a small business, it might not be bad to bring up the rioting and note that they're hurting small businesses who are essentially innocent bystanders. Just like the people who are assaulted.
In a vague sense, people are generally sympathetic when an innocent bystander is hurt. However, if you add in the business factor to someone who owns a business, will, it becomes personal. As in "I could be bankrupt for no good reason at all because of thise little college Nazis."

* fix your Senate targets (vulnerable '18 Dems, even GOPers), and pound them - start advertizing NOW in their states, leading with the damage done so far - how many people have lost their individual plans/all coverage because costs went up dramatically, how many small businesses failed or didn't start up, how many people shifted to part-time status, on and on and on
Not complicated.
Absolutely standard procedure, obvious stuff. Pushing an overwhelmingly popular position. How this goes will be a good indicator of whether, and if so how far, we are beyond salvation.

Cruz wasn't (and isn't) the problem. If anything, he holds many of the same views as DJT, but he really, really, struggled to boil any of those down into something that the working men and women could easily lock onto.
I supported Cruz, until it became clear that he couldn't resonate with middle America like Trump could.
