Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, December 18, 2016. On this day in 1972 President Richard Nixon announced that the United States would engage North Vietnam in Operation Linebacker II, a series of Christmas bombings, after peace talks collapsed with North Vietnam on the 13th. I was there for that one.

Not all. Just the leadership since the end of WW2. We destroyed the social fabric of the whole country and allowed it to be replaced with top down hard socialism. From cradle to grave. There is no more fighting spirit left in Germany. It was bred out of the males. Trump's final victory tour speech in AL was great; I watched the whole thing. He took the legacy media to task once again on several issues, and gloated bigly on the reactions of the election night pundits as their whole world imploded in real time.
Ryan and McTurtle have already come out against the cutting of the corporate tax rate, but I think Trump will use his bully pulpit and appeal directly to R voters to 'call their representatives' and change their minds. Well the last 14 hours has brought a whole new meaning to "You do for family."
As we are hosting Christmas next weekend, today was going to be a day with purpose- cleaning, wrapping, getting everything prepared. Once the workweek hits, there's no telling how much we will get done. Well about 7 o clock last night, we get a knock on the door. Relatives from out of state had come to surprise us. We offered to put them up for the night, and they took us up on it. However, later on in conversation, it came up that they weren't sure how long they were staying. They may leave today, they may stay till Monday or Tuesday. Who knows. You do for family. But, in the midst of preparations for hosting other family members next weekend, it does add a little bit of stress to the situation. Saw a post on Instapundit. On the one hand, they talked about some 'climate scientists' (didn't they used to be called meteorologists?) They are supposedly furiously copying data in order to prevent the inevitable 'Trump book burning."
On the other, women are supposedly stockpiling contraceptives, because Trump is going to ban them. Now usually, I take these as hyperbolic stunts. It is major league virtue signalling. As a side note, these seem like a phenomena you see in religions- making a show of being observant of the faith. I remember someone telling me about proper observance of how to give things up for lent. She pointed out that what you decide to give up is really between you and God. You are trying to sacrifice something, so that in some small way by it's absence, you can more fully understand what Christ gave up for your sins. To give an example, if you gave up all meat for lent, and a friend takes you to a steak house, order the fish. If they ask you, simply say that you felt like fish. If you instead tell the whole table "I am giving up meat for lent' you are taking pride in your sacrifice, which misses the point of the whole observance. That this is how a lot of people handle the observance is not an excuse. To get back to my point, I sometimes wonder whether these displays I listed above are not just what I normally assume, but rather people actually have come to believe this tripe. When I see the lack of reasoning and critical thinking, I really do wonder if they just buy the party line, along with the hook and sinker. Hot coffee inside, sweet babies. Our neighbors started their family's holiday tradition early this year - with drunken, angry screaming at each other in the front yard at 2am. Mexicans vote 3:1 - 4:1 Democrat as do virtually every other non-white minority does. The democrats literally control all the political levers in that state. Krak, Thanks for that adorable image of your little girl's concern. The 2, 3, and 4 year olds really believe and take Santa seriously. I've had a few of them mistake me for Santa (white beard, glasses, big belly, deep laugh, and sometimes a red shirt). Usually I just hear a soft "Santa!" as I walk by but a few have approached, determined to talk to The Man. One little 3 year old boy who barely came up to my knee pulled on my pants leg to get my attention and went "Ho, ho, ho". The cute quotient was off the scale.

It's not just those groups. All non-white group vote Democrat 3:1 - 4:1. Our immigration system exists exclusively to dilute the white population of this country for the specific reason to turn it into a third world marxist shithole. 90pct of people who immigrate through our "immigration" system come from third world non anglo countries by design. Nearly 100pct of the people who immigrate come from third world non anglo countries. Repeat that for a few generations and you no longer have a majority white country. Americas official policy is multiculturalism over assimilation so those that come are essentially foreign agents living amongst us who will eventually overwhelm us. No HH, I can't.
Or any other day any more. I have disowned them since Marcus Peters pulled his national anthem stunt. Made it worse when I wrote them about it and received no reply. Posted by: teej at December 18, 2016 09:11 AM (gJ3Vg) 190

10 The electoral college meets tomorrow amid a furor of sore loser Democrats calling for electors to violate their oaths to vote for their States voter's choice.
http://politi.co/2hHJBB7 Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at December 18, 2016 05:59 AM (mpXpK) Do the electors actually meet, or do they just cast their votes in their respective states? The article is unclear on that point. Posted by: rickl at December 18, 2016 09:13 AM (sdi6R) Posted by: WhatWhatWhat? - Takin' My Time on my Ride at December 18, 2016 09:14 AM (ul9CR) 193

Depends. In most states they meet at the respective Capitol, but some just vote by remote... Posted by: Anon a mouse... at December 18, 2016 09:21 AM (C9pBZ) 195

Posted by: rickl at December 18, 2016 09:13 AM (sdi6R) I believe the delegates meet in their respective states. Then a certificate of the ballot vote is then sent to D.C. where they are tallied and recorded in the Senate. Posted by: WisRich at December 18, 2016 09:23 AM (OAlmw) 196
HH, no. Just no. I'd do it if it was a KSU football game, but not otherwise.
It does make me wonder. Are the KC fountains turned off, or are they running with anti-freeze? Posted by: NaCly Dog at December 18, 2016 09:26 AM (u82oZ) 197

Don't really know, but I would imagine turned off. These are the kind of temps when pipes burst. Posted by: HH at December 18, 2016 09:29 AM (DrCtv) 198

63 Trump's final victory tour speech in AL was great; I watched the whole thing.
Yep, me too, and that was indeed really great. And we got to hear Hope Hicks speak for once! Only a few words, but still.... Posted by: WhatWhatWhat? - Takin' My Time on my Ride at December 18, 2016 09:30 AM (ul9CR) 200

CNN: "but there is room for an Electoral College uprising, however small, among Democrats and some Republicans..."
"some" is plural, is it not? There is Suprun and no one else. Perhaps Suprun has a Republican mouse in his pocket. Posted by: mnw at December 18, 2016 09:40 AM (Iik29) 203
Rained pretty good last night. Now, it's 27 deg and I have a bump hockey rink for a driveway. Looks like a trip to pick up half a pallet of water softener salt and a couple of hours with a tanker bar before daughter's family (with newborn grandson #2) come a-visiting

I noticed that the very first sentence on the page said, "The Electoral College is a process, not a place." But how can that be? The President said just the other day that the Founders "built" the Electoral College. Posted by: rickl at December 18, 2016 10:11 AM (sdi6R) 206

Awfully quiet around here today.
After looking at the Clinton Archipelago map, I went to my county website to look at the election results. My county as a whole went for Clinton, but my township went for Trump. I dug down deeper and looked at the results by district. My township has 17 districts, 12 of which went for Trump and 5 for Clinton. (My own district went for Trump.) Some of the results were very close and some were lopsided one way or the other. Now I'm really curious. I want to see a map of the 17 districts in my township. But I can't find it online. The county and township websites explain how to find out what district I'm in and the location of my polling place, but I already know that. I'd really like to see a map to learn more about my neighbors. Posted by: rickl at December 18, 2016 11:20 AM (sdi6R) Posted by: andycanuck at December 18, 2016 11:20 AM (zbVnv) 210
