1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, November 19, 2016. On this day 1998 the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee began impeachment hearings against U.S. President Bill Clinton. And we all know how that turned out. The house impeached him and traitor Snarlin Arlen couldn't find anything in Scottish law that Clinton had done wrong. Clinton was and is the essence of a career criminal.

2 Students at a South Texas High School held a "skit" in which one student "shot" another student made up to look like Trump. One wonders if they spoke English in this "English" class. And Faux has coined a new word, "Election Derangement Syndrome". But I am not sure that fits. If Scankles had won you would not be seeing any of this shit directed at her.

3 The outgoing asshole has used his pen and phone to ban any new oil drilling in the Artic Ocean regions. This yet another one of those political stunts like Clinton changing the "allowable" arsenic levels in drinking water to an amount impossible to measure knowing that Bush would be forced to change it back. We need a new law that say outgoing Democrat Presidents after an election no longer have ANY regulatory power or nomination power. And since when does the President have "authority" over the Artic Ocean regions?

8 A bunch of OK idiots and greedy lawyers are suing energy companies for fracking that is "causing" all the OK earthquakes. It has been proven over and over again that fracking has nothing to do with earthquakes. And the court is surely not the place to iron this out. This case should have never been allowed to be filed. We need some radical changes to tort law in the US but it will never happen. Too many lawyers making the laws.

21 And regarding CNN's Kaiser on how to "restore" America's faith in our "Democracy". (ONT)

Koza's solution is possible because the Constitution specifies that state legislatures can decide to choose presidential electors any way they want to. Koza proposed an interstate compact, enforceable through the impairments clause of the Constitution.

Whoever this Koza is, as well as CNN, is full of shit. Also, the US is NOT a democracy you idiots, go back to school. The electoral system was designed the way it is specifically to assure that there is no "popular vote". The founders wanted the State legislators to elect the President and Vice President. The only people they intended the "people" to have a direct vote for was the House of Representatives. Koza and CNN can eat a BOD.

That's it for today folks.

Every single time there is a Presidential election in which the popular vote lost the electoral vote the liberals have demanded a constitutional change to eliminate the electoral college and go to the popular vote because their guy lost. After a few weeks it dies abornin' in the crib and is forgotten. This time they simply want an illegal law to be drawn up by all 50 States to eliminate it.

49 Someday years from now you will go into a professional office to see someone on a important matter. And discuss your problem and what can be done to correct it. As what their favorite toys were and then when leaving tell them it was nice to meet them but you will be finding another opinion.

To be fair, it doesn't break often but I have been told to plan on head gaskets every 100K or so, and when it does need fixing the parts are F'N OUTRAGEOUS. I was quoted over 500 bucks for an idle air control valve, something that was less than 50 on that old POS Pontiac Grand Am that I hated so badly. Got one off of Ebay for 20 bucks, good thing too because that didn't fix the problem (ended up being an O2 sensor).

171 <smacks lips thinking of venison>

The deer in Sweden were roe deer, mostly. Small. The rump roasts were about 3 pounds. What we used to do was freeze them solid. Then when you're ready to cook them, cover with shaved butter (since they've got no fat on 'em), place in a cold oven, then set it to about 225F. Leave it in there for about 14 hours. Slice with a knife then you can cut it with a fork, tender like pate.

I brought one over here, frozen, when I was visiting my folks one year. Dad was totally impressed.

Never really liked the Ridgeline, can't say why. Yes they do, because no other nation really understands pickups. The Japanese do a halfway decent job I guess, but all you have to do is study the debacle behind the T-100 to realize it.
With that being said, Toyota makes a very nice small truck, and their bigger trucks have gotten a lot better now that they have started listening to their American counterparts. Nissan makes a decent small truck. Honda should stick to cars and motorcycles.

I'm not at all sure any of the new trucks are worth a damn. It seems to me the manufacturers have sacrificed utility for looks. They're just too tall to have any utility at all. The prices, of course, are ridiculous.

204 Miley, we are co-county-ists! I am at the southern end of the Parkway.
I remember before Dulles Airport opened, my dad had just bought his midlife crisis car (a Jaguar XKE, that we all used to have to go out and push down the hill for him in winter, when he left for work, so he could pop the clutch and go).
One night when the new access road had been paved, but was not yet open, he took my brother (then about 12) and me (~ 4) and put us in the passenger seat, with me on my brother's lap (no seatbelts in those days), and went and maneuvered around the barricades, then ripped it up in the Jag on that new slick road.
Mom went ballistic when she found out what he'd done, but my brother and I sure enjoyed it.
I think it's what sustained us through pushing that damn thing all winter every winter until he sold it!
(grew up in Mclean, pre-Tyson's, when it had cows and chickens and horses within walking distance in all four directions from my house...)

205 on the banking dereg stuff ... they don't mention Glass-Steagall, but both Bernie and Warren wanted to reintroduce it (and did), but (bank/Saudi owned) Hillary was against it. Trump also was for it ... but it is too complicated to be a major campaign issue.

When they let Goldman Sachs pretend to be a bank, bad things happened. Of course the GS players have infiltrated our government, with their peeps roaming freely year to year, from the White House, to IMF and other global governance institutions, then back to Goldman. When I day traded a little, the smart guys in the chats would call the White House a branch office of Goldman Sachs, and with some of the "shenanigans", it was not too much hyperbole.

Nothing much happened to Corzine when he reached across the supposed solid wall and took $1.6B of investors money to cover his bad (leveraged) bet on ??? some Eurozone bonds I think. That woke some folks up ... and his MF Global went under, and those people in time got the money back.

But the story is much uglier than average people recognize. There is this tricky way of borrowing called "rehypothecation". I don't know enough to detail it, but it seems like using assets as collateral, but not really transferring any title control, so it looks like "your assets" were not at risk. The US made a law that it could only be done once (is., they can't use rehypothecated "collateral", to then back another layer of debt). But the trick was that could still be done in London.

So iirc, that is where Bernie Madoff went for his games, to leverage up even higher. And some might recall LTCM being bailed around 1999, a fund that was leveraged 300:1 or more, millionaires becoming billionaires, but they had political clout to have YOU bail them out when it failed. I am presuming that included a lot of such shenanigans.

But the Londonistan thing is interesting, as the have their Muslim mayor now, and certainly the Saudis have big oil money to throw around in our markets, and in our elections. The shadow bankers and shadow government are basically one and the same, and they almost bought our presidency. They still own the Democrat party, on the whole, as I see it. That's why they jammed in Hilda instead of Bernie/Warren.

this link is business insider that mentions the unlimited rehypothecation in London problem ... it's from 2012.

Not exactly.

Rehypothication is when a bank (or some other financial institution) uses its customers' assets as collateral for its own transactions. It's legal, and they usually compensate the customers.
