2 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, November 12, 2016. On this day in 1974 Ronald DeFeo, Jr. murdered his entire family in Amityville, Long Island in the house that would become known as The Amityville Horror. And no the murders were not caused by some supernatural entity embedded in the house. They were caused by the murderer and no believable motive has ever been established. The house itself is still there. Over the years the subsequent owners have remodeled it substantially and even changed the address trying to keep gawkers from coming around. But to no avail. As for DeFeo he is currently serving 6 life sentences. At the time NY still had a death penalty and in any other State he would have got that.

BS. That was an illegal Obama "deal" that required ratification by the Senate. Which he knew it would be shot down if he tried. It is NOT binding and all Trump has to do is say "Obama made this bad deal on his own, I am unmaking it.

6 cankles is now blaming her loss on the FBI and Comey. She still refuses to address her illegal actions and not just the email stuff. And get a load of this crap from Fox:

The former State Department leader lost in a surprising defeat to Republican nominee Donald Trump, a first-time candidate who essentially trailed in almost every major poll for the entire campaign.

They still refuse to admit that all those polls were BS and rigged to make it look like she was winning by a wide margin. The fact is that Fox hates Trump just like every other left wing media outlet. And the bottom line here is that it doesn't look like she is going to STFU and just go away.

Yesterday's sidebar about some leftist saying Trump only won by about 10,000 votes in VA and OH has some merit in it.

But, if you exclude the 60,000 convicts illegally pardoned by McAuliffe, the unknown number of illegal aliens voting as well as the dead and cheaters, the margin is significantly higher.

That said, GOP turnout since 2004 or so has not grown by all that much so if Trump can parlay the rejection of the GOP-e into a movement, plus crack down on the illegal aliens, we can grow that number.

Also, the Democrats lost 10,000,000 voters in just 2 cycles. TEN MILLION lost.

We have got to build on that.

59 So, judging by the clips I've seen, SNL still sucks bags of dicks. Not that anyone should expect anything different at this juncture.

The Libs are praising last night's episode to the skies because Kate McKinnon sang "Hallelujah" or something. (great, politicize Cohen's death, why not. You Lib pukes politicize everything else.)

Dave Chappelle was shockingly rusty and unfunny. I did kind of like his defiantly un-PC smoking onstage, but that just kinda points up that The Swells can break the law with no repercussions. The penalty for smoking in a public place here in NYS is like 25 years of hard labor.

A skit involving a group of cocksure Hillary supporters gathered to watch their hero win and gradually realizing she won't win could have been funny, but simply devolved into another "Americans are all racist" lecture that even a walk-on by Chris Rock couldn't save.

And Leslie Jones has to be the most unpleasant, unfunny, distasteful creature ever. Milo might have been on to something...are we SURE that isn't a man, baby?

So...SNL. Still sucks.

One of the first orders of business for the new administration should be to get congress to get rid of that stupid Motor Voter law, which should have been named the Democrat Voter Fraud Law instead, as that was its real purpose.

States that want to require proof of U.S. citizenship (such as AZ) for voter registration should be allowed to do so. And we need to get rid of this "same day registration and voting" crap. If you're too damn lazy to register before election day, tough luck. Also need to get rid of the "automatic" registration bullshit. With states (like CA) giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens, voter registration should not be tied to driver's licenses. We also need to dramatically increase penalties for illegal registration/voting. And any illegal alien caught registering to vote or voting in the U.S. should be disqualified from ever obtaining legal U.S. residency or citizenship.

What are you TALKING about? This is the Age of Oscar Madison!

Two different types of person, forced to exist in the same society.

One is elitist, arrogant, snobbish. He meddles in other people's affairs because he thinks he knows best, and he invariably ruins things, but he learns nothing. He thinks he has some sort of God given right to meddle and control other people.

The other, a man of simple tastes, who just wants to be left alone to enjoy his pizza and beer and watch football.

Hear hear. For the first time that I can recall, government agencies have been used for purely political purposes, to punish private citizens for their political beliefs.

This is straight up totalitarianism. This (apart from open borders) was the most alarming thing for me over the past 8 years, what made me feel most deeply that the Republic was truly dead.

Heads need to roll for this. These people need to be made an example of, so that nothing remotely like this ever happens again.

Wen through Sat, I went to work and I have almost a glow about me (I'm told). I cannot get the smile off of my face and some of the snowflakes at my workplace are taking it as gloating.
I can't help it. The smile won't come off my face. I cannot fake it and act like I'm at a funeral for the sake of peace with the snowflakes.
I wake up and in lieu of man parts doing their morning routine it's just me. Smiling.

About that screed from CDR Salamander; doesn't that come off to you all as just a little bit self serving? The people he is advocating for are the same interventionist neocons that were rejected soundly in the primaries, where they were amply represented.

If I was Trump, I'd leave them in the waiting room until they got so hungry they had to leave, or shit theirselves.

Never, ever, trust a turncoat. They're like an adulterer, they will return to form as soon as the opertunity presents itself. Now I'm not saying turn away everyone who was against Trump in the primaries, but the people who openly supported skankles because of her foreign policy goals should be held in utmost contempt.

Remember the words which Trump shared with Billy Bush those many years ago?

Much of the ability to have people flock to you and allow, if not demand that you take freedoms with their persons is based upon your perceived power, influence and wealth.

If The CGI crashes into an ignoble pile of rubble, and the invitations to attend the meetings of the inner circles of Democratic power disappear, Bill Clinton simply becomes another old and frail schlub who likes to touch women while mumbling about the halls of power.

180 I keep reading on the internet all the people smarter than me saying that Trump winning is a paradigm shift, an epic reversal.

I'm not buying it.

Trump is going to be another Nixon who made deals with the democrats; EPA, OSHA, etc and so forth. Like Bush with his deal with Kennedy on education and no child left behind, and after 9/11 another bureaucratic layer to 'reform' the national intelligence community with Department of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act.

Trump doesn't change anything. Look at the vote totals. The country is divided between extreme progressives and old school FDR democrats. It was democrats voting for Trump instead of Hillary. There are no conservatives in politics. They have all died. The conservative voice has been silenced.

We're going back to the days of creeping incrementalism. A little compromise here, a deal there, and mobs in the street. I saw that movie and know how it ends.

224 A couple of years ago I had to buy a car, as my current one was badly rusted and wouldn't pass inspection.

I don't like buying cars. At that time I had owned precisely four in over 30 years, all of which I bought used from the previous owner using classified ads in the newspaper. The last two I owned for 12 and 15 years respectively.

So I had bought *one* car in the last 27 years. Needless to say, I was not up to speed on the newfangled ways of buying cars.

I bought a copy of a Consumer Reports special issue about cars, and picked out some that looked interesting. I figured that I would have to look at several of them in order to make up my mind. I wasn't looking forward to it.

One of them was at a nearby dealership. I stopped there after work to take a look at it. I went for a test drive, said, "OK, I'll take it", went back to the dealership and signed the paperwork. The next day I went to my bank, had a check made out, took it to the dealership, and drove home.

First car I looked at. Bang. Done.

232 "First car I looked at. Bang. Done."

Was shopping for a car to bring our soon to be born son home from the hospital.

Two days before Little VIA's projected arrival date we walked into the dealer and said basically:

You know what a fair profit would be on this vehicle.
Due to the internet, I may also know what a fair profit would be.

I'm in a hurry, so you have one shot to make me an offer. Before you even respond, go talk to your Manager. Because you really have only one shot.

He left, came back in a few minutes, and made an offer which was actually a small amount lower then what I was prepared to pay.

Made the deal right then and there.

Next morning, Mrs VIA went into labor.

And the rest is history.

233 Good morning, Horde. Isn't it lovely out?

Re: cats and travel. Having moved/traveled with cats, there's nothing for it except to grit your teeth and get it over with. The anti-anxiety meds don't work, or rather, they have a way of kicking in *after* you've reached your destination, which at least gives you some quiet time to collapse with exhaustion.

When we drove Pippin the cat from Chicago to Cedar Rapids to live with my daughter (250 miles) he escaped twice from the carrier - managed to undo the zipper from the inside, God knows how. I finally tied the zipper pulls together, so we made the rest of the trip with no escapes - BUT by the time we arrived at my daughter's, we found he had CHEWED a hole in the mesh at one end of the carrier - almost as big as his head. Another couple of hours and he would have made it out.

(He has since settled down nicely, so you needn't worry about him.)

Husband's lefty sister has invited us to a big family Thanksgiving. Sounds nice in theory, but we have a pretty good idea how the conversation is going to run...so we are thinking of staying home, roasting a chicken (we are empty nesters for the first time since 197 and enjoying sweet, sweet silence.

246 Teej, I like your summary. But I would say what you wrote was how Israel became a State.

State, as opposed to Nation, because the nation, the people had pre existed the state by several thousand years. The distinction between state and nation is important to make in part because legitimate criticism of the state becomes anti Semitic when it becomes a denial of this nation of their right to have a political entity of their own.

Maybe that's being a little picayune...

Pet and Drugs Thread!: happy to see no one advocating long-term use of Doggie Downers. A former office partner, the kind of person who just Cared Too Much about poochie, had her big ol' pal on a steady course. Not exactly a natural life for the dog, but the thing was, the drug made the dog's urine kill the lawn. The whole lawn, as it turned out, by the time she noticed the side effect. And just soaking the area didn't help. Of all the damn things?

I had lawn spots on two of our lots early this summer, cause for minor suburban panic because we had a biggish kind of showy wedding reception coming up. It was deer! Had a small herd roaming the neighborhood, right through June. I reckon they faded when the corn came up. I thought I'd have to do a lot of spot-repair and reseeding, which I don't enjoy much, but, it cleared up.

The commie left are the ones that do the real chaos, are the real killers, the real threat to society, backed by the same big money as Hillary.

But inauguration day is also an important ceremonial thing, and backing down in the face of goons is not a great start. But I imagine the new world order folks have plenty of "Oswalds" out there (or whoever people think did it) if they decide to pull that trigger. I usually save it for the lab. The ANALytical lab where if you're not being nitpicky about every phase of what you're doing,,, you're doing it wrong.
On the other hand, God had the nation of Israel existing since before He spoke the universe into existence.

Well, if you buy into that fairy tale any way.
Some prefer the one that starts,,, In the beginning there was nothing,,, and then nothing exploded...

These protestors are different. They are professional agitators who go all over the country. They are being paid by George Soros and everybody knows that. I am hoping that Trump cracks down on that shit. He needs to issue a warrant for Soros' arrest. Hell confiscate his house in NY until he shows up.

310 Trump wants to arm military recruiting centers. (Obama loved it when they were sitting ducks) Watch for California to ban them.

We have some very serious problems with the mental acumen of the legislature out here ... they are very nearly deranged. They passed a resolution condemning the Trump election.

Hopefully Trump will respond by pissing on their heads at every opportunity.

The legalization of gay marriage emboldened them. They rolled back medical EVIDENCE of aberrant sexual deviant behavior as 'untrue' and mandated teaching gay stuff in schools on a plane with civil rights over race. A child molester named Harvey Milk was given an honorific day and that was okayed by Gov. Ahnuld (fake republican). That day is a mandated day to teach gay stuff to kids in the schools.

A bill to temporarily raise taxes for 4 years was run by the stupid voters again to temporarily re raise them TEN FREAKING years was affirmed. The voters are just mind numbed robots.

In Berkeley 87% were for Hildabeast.

The idiots legalized pot smoking after years of saying the medical marijuana was all they wanted.

They raise taxes on cigarettes Two Bucks and everybody knows that just hurts the poor.

They let my violent inmates out of prison by redefining their crimes as nonviolent. Now more citizens are

From experience, knocking them down isn't enough. You have to instill real, actual fear in them to get them to straighten out and fly right. In my case, it involved bodyslamming one into a wall when there was nobody else in the hallway, and "cheese-gratering" his face into the rough surface enough to cause some minor abrasions, and threatening to take his face off if he ever harassed me or any of my friends ever again. That worked, where a half-dozen fights (that I won 100% of) never did...

352 So watching Detroit news last night. Breathless reporter hawking story that some female muslim student on the campus of the University of Michigan was walking down a sidewalk last night and was approached by a man who told her to take off her hajib or he would set her on fire.

Immediately was interviewing some CAIR asshole who was horrified and said Donald Trump needs to denounce this and needs to announce that people will be arrested for these threats.

Reporter then said with a straight face that the poor woman took off her hajib (which he pointed out violates her religious tenets) out of fear she would be 'set on fire". He then went on, with a straight face, that "witnesses" said the man was a 25-35 year old white male, with strong body odor who smelled of alcohol.

And then the numbers for the police and to report this hate crime were run across the screen.

This supposedly happened in the middle of Ann Arbor, on a Saturday early evening.

In situations like that, I prefer Spanish subtitles on Spanish-speaking stations. That way you can read along with what they're saying. If you're like most language learners you probably find reading easier than listening, at least at the beginning.
