From before any results (last thread). So far still on track:
I think 6 states will decide this, 3 big ones, and 3 little ones. The polls for these 6 are too close to call. The big ones are FL, PA, and NC, of course. If Trump gets all three, he wins. If he loses one, he needs the little states. If he loses two, he's probably out of luck, unless the talk about MI and other places turns out to be real. If Trump loses FL, he needs ALL 3 little states: CO, NV, NH If Trump loses PA, he can still win with any 2 out of 3 of the little states. If Trump loses NC, a win in either CO or NV will do it. Two of the winning scenarios, BTW, result in a TIE. Which would send us into interesting territory - it goes to the House of Representatives (which is Republican). The polls tend to be biased against Trump, plus they don't count the "unlikely voters" who may prove to be a big deal for Trump (but that remains to be seen!!) So I tend to think in terms of "If the polls say it's about even, Trump has a pretty good chance of winning." I'm assuming AZ, GA, an IA go to Trump, while MI, MN, VA, and WI go to Hillary (although I hear that the inside scoop is that MI is a toss-up). 301 This is exactly the type of poster that needs BANNED. Feel free to disagree with my analysis, but I'm not trolling anyone, just pointing out facts that a reasonable person would look at and not ignore. There is no reason to build unrealistic expectations. People look at 90% of precincts and assume it's 90% of votes. It's not. Not all precincts have the same number of votes, and there are huge precincts in S. Florida that haven't come in and they will and they will be Clinton precincts.
That isn't trolling. Posted by: Martian Wonder at November 08, 2016 09:37 PM (h+Yef) ------- Since you don't know what numbers are coming in where your analysis is shit. Post numbers. I spend a lot of time in few blue states due to work and here is how the local/state political discussions go (I avoid national politics with them)
Me: So, yet another Dem governor/speaker of the house/etc was convicted of corruption - it seems to be a pattern doesn't it? Liberal: Yes, we need a real change. These politicians always do the same thing - they promise us everything and then rip us off. Me: Change you say? Have you ever thought of voting for the other party - the Republicans? Liberal: Oh HELL NO. They'd change everything! Me: But you said you wanted change right? Liberal: I don't get your confusion. Anyway, this new leftwing Democrat candidate is promising us everything for free again...and I think this one means it! Me: !@#$%^&*() Posted by: 18-1 at November 08, 2016 09:42 PM (aZq03) 330

The problem was people in the booths taking forever because they hadn't filled out their booklets beforehand. Well kids, I was here during the primaries and I'm back. I voted today in CT for Trump (but really against HRC). So we all know my vote does not really matter in the big scheme of things.
Posting now even though I know if my employer wants to make an issue of it, my professional life could be in jeopardy. Let me quote some favorite lines to keep in the spirit of the times: Want a beer? It's 8 in the morning. Scotch? And to keep the mister mom theme: What's going here is WRONG! And that is this election in a nutshell. Just left a bar in mid-town Manhattan with 2 HRC voters who admitted (I) HRC is a bad person and (ii) we should get back to a system where the Fed gov has limited power and we should work through our social issues on a local level. They seemed sincere. I am still burying the guns and ammo to be ready for the alternative. Love this site - even if the boss is old and fat with lies and no GAINZZ. The ideology (progressive, statist, elites being smart for the serfs, etc.) matches the platform (big government, free shit). This also matches the path to political success in DC (graft, cronyism, bigger govt., personal power, enrichment, etc). The arguments are mainly about how much commie to push at any given time. GOPe has to pretend to be small government and conservative while actually having the same personal/power motivations in the path to political success as the Democrats. So failure theater. How about Kominski Field?
Posted by: J.J. Sefton at November 08, 2016 09:52 PM (mbhDw) About 2 mile from my house is a summer camp. The concrete columns and wrought iron "fence" between them were from the old Kominski Field. I worked there in the kitchen as a teen. Posted by: Mimzey at November 08, 2016 10:18 PM (n3hky) 764

Michigan report makes me sad. I called the parents earlier and told Da not to watch the results. They told me, "We've got the House and we'll take the Senate!" So I'm going to bed soon and hope for the best.

If you're in NY - sorry about the fracking ban. My family is in central PA (which should inform my politics despite my NY working and CT living) - so I've got a bit of that good cold carbon cash flowing that way (but not enough to give up the day job). And as I write this we've been willowed but if you see this best to you. Posted by: NY/CT Lurker at November 08, 2016 10:38 PM (tRFUP) 773
Florida results will be challenged by one or the other candidate. Probably any other state that has close results as well. It won't be over tonight.
