I am reminded of that article that came out around the time Bruce Jenner started his "I'm a tranny" thing, written by some Johns Hopkins University medical professor on this subject. Seems that at one time Johns Hopkins was at the forefront of this "sexual reassignment" thing, all through the '70s and into the '80s. Only thing is, they kept track of all their patients, and made a disturbing discovery. Even after being made into fake females (or fake males as the case may be), their patients got no better. They still all had serious emotional/psychological problems and were just as prone to suicide as pre-op trannies were. So Johns Hopkins came to the conclusion that these people needed a psychiatrist, not a surgeon, and stopped doing those sorts of surgeries.

I never expected much from Gardener. I knew he was a longtime R politician and not a shrink the federal government tea party newcomer and I wouldn't get much beyond liberal tears from him getting elected.
