"Lies, Lies, Lies You Dirty Jezebel! Why, Why, Why Why Don't You Go To Hell?!!!"

BOO! Happy Halloween, kids. What a wild weekend it has been. Aside from the fraud potential, what happened on Friday is one hell of a powerful argument against early voting. But a Democrat will always disagree, even if you ask them the hypothetical "what if he/she were a Republican?" Anyway, the Clinton/Democrat-RINO theme song is below the fold (Funny, I just realized how many songs, or at least the titles, on "Some Girls" are germane to the Clintons). Ignore the polls, have a better one, and remain blessed.

21 Happy Reformation Day,, Grammie.! On October 31st 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to to the door of the Wittenburg Cathedral. Most important point in the 95 theses is # 62- The true treasure of the church is the most holy Gospel of the grace and glory of God."

And to preempt any religious arguments- from anyone here, there are many things I love about Roman Catholicism and have deep appreciation for its Saints. We Christians are all to be one in Jesus Christ. IMO, when the universal church functions well it's like a jewel with each tradition having one or more beautiful facets that shows the Gospel. Let us concentrate on what brings us together-which is Jesus Christ-not that which separates us.

.Correction, I can confirm that she is losing the non white vote, at least according to ABC. The most recent ABC poll shows her support for the non white vote at 68% versus 80% for obama in 2012.

She is literally down 12% in votes from what they were expecting before anyone has cast a vote. That would explain the ridiculous leads she had over Trump in earlier polling. The pollsters expected her to generate obama level turnout with nonwhite voters, but we all knew it was never going to happen.

I think reality is starting to kick in for some of the pollsters now. Accuracy really does affect their bottom line, that's why Gallup doesn't poll political races any longer, they were that bad at it and people quit hiring them.

    http://tinyurl.com/hr2f7up

    Executive Summary

Sure looks like Team Hillary is on the defensive, lagering in states Obama won, while Team Trump is expanding into the Blue Lake states and CO/NM.

Trump has been very conservative with appearances in the last month, focusing on locking down Ohio and Florida to ensure at least a narrow Bush 2000 style win. You may take his going Big Blue in the final week as, depending on your general eeyorism, either a reach for a mandate, or a last play long throw from deep behind to try and get to 270.

.Actually they can't. And it is going to keep getting worse as more and more people drop out of the sample by simply not answering their phone if they don't know the caller.

All they can do is go by is the last race and base their math on that. I read one article that said pollsters are getting about a 1-2% response rate for their poll calls now. They would literally have to make 1,000,000 phone calls to get enough respondents to generate a somewhat accurate demographic breakdown for a poll.

Why, the whole bloody place is the most unspeakable matriarchy in the whole history of civilization! Look at yourself, and the way your wife and her strumpet of a mother push you through the hoop! As far as I can see, American men have been totally emasculated. They're like slaves; they due from coronary thrombosis while their women sit under hairdryers eating chocolates and arranging for every second Tuesday to be some sort of "Mother's Day!" And this positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms! In all my time in this wretched, godforsaken country, the one thing that has appalled me most of all is this preposterous preoccupation with bosoms! Don't you realize they have become the dominant theme in American culture? In literature, advertising and all fields of entertainment and everything! I'll wager you anything you like that if American women stopped wearing brassieres, your whole national economy would collapse overnight!

Now, all that said, some of Trump's policy positions, most notably on trade, are just flat out wrong. BUT, he is an outsider and as such has articulated the rage that we all feel after being persecuted by the Left and ignored by the GOP.

Populism and Nationalism, at least as they are defined, are to be avoided. But a restoration of freedom, the founding principles and the rule of a just stable law are to be fought for with every fiber of my/our being(s).

Is it possible Huma was the 'front end' and she sorted the emails the Beast got to see? Is it possible Carlos Danger was tasked with sorting emails for Huma?

50000 emails just didn't seem hefty enough for a Secretary of State. 650000 sounds more like it.

Can FBI find it's ass with both hands? It's said NYPD found these emails. If any are addressed from the Beast's server they were too lazy to look for the recipient or they didn't want to find them.

It could be they were too stooopid to realize every email TO the Beast had a recipient from the sender and vice versa. Any of those senders/recipiends might have emails the Beast deleted...and there is no evidence the FBI got warrants and went looking for deleted Beast server emails out there. That is work and they might find something.

BTW, part of what spurred the French Revolution was a trade deal with England that wiped out a couple of French industries and put 100,000 people out of work.

Very likely. Huma is Hillary's gatekeeper - even Bill complained that he had to go through Huma to speak to Hillary. She also appears to have done a lot of delegation of tasks on behalf of Hillary - that would mean she was the interface of communications both to and from Hillary, including State, the foundation, donors, and Teneo. *That* would explain 650K emails.

Also...Huma has worked for Hills for 20 years. No one has mentioned a time frame, so we can't assume these are just from Huma's time at State. Maybe that's why Comey had to do something....imagine what these emails could have documented if it's from the past 20 years....

It says that the FBI gave a presentation to the DOJ prosecutors on what they had found on the Foundation (there had been a referral from a bank that had noticed a suspicious donation to the Foundation), and the DOJ wasn't impressed and didn't want them to go forward and investigate further. Also said that the DOJ wouldn't authorize subpoenas, witness interviews, etc.

158 #112 It is axiomatic that a military prepares to fight its last war in the future. Its unlikely Trump understands that or will act to prepare us for our next...it is by nature of unknown dimension. Every Prezident has these problems....but B+rry's war was ON the military in seeding it with unnecessary gender integration programs and tranny corps and sex change operations and meals on wheels missions etc. which were all design to sap morale and resources and degrade military readiness and capacity and capability.

Trump can act by getting women out of the way where they impact combat effectiveness and get sex changes out of the military capability as not being military necessary. The gay thing I think we are stuck with absent any Constitutional action. But I shutter at the idea that there will be a whole new criminal class of sexual offenders institutionalized in the military ranks. They were always there but they were not explicitly invited in the ranks and indeed were explicitly removed when discovered and there was quite a lot of trouble. It's not normal behavior even when practiced legally after all. And the military is not a place to experiment with social engineering. Its mission is to kill enemies and break things, not accommodate special snowflakes like Cpl. Klinger.

Meals on wheels should be a UN action with GI's performing security only.

And UN members better pay their fair share and we need to only pay our own.

    Quick clarification:

Simply having a clearance doesn't mean you get to read any and all classified information. You also must have an actual need to know which is subject to verification and endorsement (and such things are also under scrutiny...stupid justifications for reading someone in can land the person doing the endorsement in trouble too.). The only thing a clearance gets you is eligibility to be considered to be read in.

So even if Huma Weiner had a clearance, that doesn't automatically mean that she should have been allowed to see any of that stuff.

In other words, if the common practice of the time was to keep your slaves uneducated, to teach your slaves basic reading skills was forward thinking and visionary.

But, if in 2016 you still consider slavery to be acceptable, you just might have a problem.

So, one could rightly suggest that in a world where women and men are considered as equals, to suggest as fundamentalist Islam does that a woman is little more then chattel, protected chattel, but none the less a human of less worth and rights than a man, your religion may be just a little bit behind the times.

209 If the Beast wins this the OLD Republican Party needs to die because it lost 3 in a row. But it also means that Trump R's, like the old Party R's, are close enough to win and the combination to win has to lie in being able to peal D votes out of one of the D's demographics. So R insiders need to correctly determine what slice of D they can get and adjust the Party platform accordingly to get those votes without losing any existing R's.

Unlike D's, R's are principled folks and risk losing and do lose elections because their tent isn't large enough. If it can't be large enough the D's will act to cause R's to become extinct. That has happened in California. Zero R's own statewide office and zero R is a candidate for the Senate. The next gubernatorial race in CA is likely to be a race between two D's.

There is an existential threat to R's if Trump loses.

    I'm still lurking J.J.

I've given up on the RCP average. We seem to have 2 types of polls as of 2 weeks ago. Those that grossly oversample Dems and those trying to play it straight.

I've been watching the LA Times poll, because I like their "static sample" methodology. It has been catching the true swings in the race. Trump has a bad week, and he drops about 2. Clinton has a terrible week and Trump goes up around 2.

ABC tracking poll going from Clinton +14 to +2 should be all you need to know. There is clearly either manipulation or incompetence going on.

Anyway RCP average is heavily weighted by pro-Clinton polls. There are no Trump polls that try to skew the other way. Plus we have the Podesta email that outright admits the Dems do this to depress turnout.

My sense is Trump has a slight lead in a 4 way, and everything comes down to who shows up, and how much fraud the Dems can get away with. If the Dems turn out their base, and they don't vote for Trump (which could happen in MI), she likely wins by a hair. If Trump really does inspire the pissed off unlikely voters to go out and protest vote, then he will beat the margin of fraud.

The major source of income for the federal government prior to the income tax was direct payments from the States based on population and excise taxes (primarily whiskey). The founders wanted it that way because it maintained power in the States. The 16th amendment was a huge mistake because it enabled the federal government to run away out of control.

334 The tariff threat seems like a blatant pander to the union vote, no?

It's application, all depends upon a) passing a tariff law through an uncooperative Congress and b) enforcement of the tariffs by an overburdened legal system.

Kind of like "term limits". Which members of Congress will vote for them?

    b) enforcement of the tariffs by an overburdened legal system.

Naah.. this is handled currently on a daily basis. There is already an extremely complex system of tariffs in place..

    see: http://tinyurl.com/z5l9auu

Customs handles this.. it would be no problem at all implementing new tariffs. Getting them passed, however, would be the hard part.

Posted by: Make America Great Again at October 31, 2016 08:58 AM (Ych6e)

Your assertion was that the Federal government has the right to dictate to private citizens where they can and cannot do business. There is no such right in the Constitution.

Can it impose tariffs? Sure it can. And as I asked earlier, name for me one tariff ever passed that boosted significantly the economy.

The straw man is on the other foot, my friend. Tariffs are disastrous. Trump is in favor of them. And by the way so is Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist. I find that troubling.

    ____________________

650,000 e-mails, probably backed-up from the cloud, and almost certainly thousands that contain classified information, turning up on some degenerate ex-congressman's laptop, but Hillary is not to blame.

Even though it was Hillary who set up the private and insecure email server in the first place, so that she could do government business while evading FOIA requirements. And she needed to evade FOIA requirements because she needed to hide the fact that she was selling influence over government policies/grants, etc., in exchange for big "donations" or "speaking fees" to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation.

And it was also Hillary who entrusted her Muslim Brotherhood aide Huma with hundreds of thousands of sensitive government documents, even though she knew Huma wasn't very bright and was married to a pervert.

But yeah, it's totally not Hillary's fault that hundreds of thousands of government emails ended up on that pervert's laptop. No, that was clearly James Comey's doing.

Ah, so we've gone from tariffs are bad and no examples of good ones to now there might be some instances of good ones. Got it.

General American tariff policy, for most of its existence, was if we made it it had a high tariff and if we didn't make it, it got a lower tariff. In other words we encouraged (or punished) Americans to purchase American products to improve US industry. I don't remember that being horrible for American economic prospects.

Smoot-Hawley may or may not have helped along the depression. When rates were lowered later in the 30's, the economy fell backwards again. So pounding the table with Smoot-Hawley doesn't impress me as definitive of anything.

Posted by: Rick in SK at October 31, 2016 09:48 AM (/CIN4)

521 Just a thought about the polls and this crazy race.

The 2012 effort to "unskew" the polls essentially had as its bedrock belief the theory that after 4 years of Obama, the bloom had come off of the rose, and that there was no way the 2012 electorate would look like the 2008 electorate. Obama would no longer be "cool" to young people, black voters will have already voted in the first black president, so the turnout models offered by the MSM public polling were fundamentally wrong, and had to be "unskewed."

Now, although this idea was proven wrong in 2012, the basic critique makes a certain degree of logical sense. The unskewers were right in a sense -- turnout for Obama WAS down over 2008 -- but their larger conclusion didn't bear up. By all accounts, Obama ran a masterful campaign that really got out his vote.

Fast forward to 2016. We have a steady diet of MSM public polls that, for the most part, are pretty one-sided to Clinton. For the sake of argument, lets put aside the criticism that these polls are all meant to gaslight the public, and that the pollsters "know" full well that what they are peddling is simply Hillary propaganda. (I don't dismiss this argument outright -- the pathetic ABC tracking poll seems so loaded and wrong, for example -- but put that aside for a moment).

The pollsters seem to be fundamentally guessing that the 2016 election will look like the 2008 and 2012 elections. They forecast a high minority turnout, for example.

But the early voting evidence seems to indicate that black voters are not turning out to the polls at 2012 rates. Some surveys indicate that turnout is down 20-30%.

One final data point. Remember the 2008 democrat primary between Hillary and Obama? Obama had his strength in young liberals and black voters. Hillary had her strength among blue collar democrats. That's Trump's base now, not Hillary's.

So, we have Hillary desperately needing black voters that voted against her in 2008, while losing the blue collar white democrats that were her base to Trump.

Put it together -- do you think that the 2016 electorate will look like the Obama 2008-2012 electorate? Yes, Trump has problems all of his own (particularly among white collar Republicans, and white women). But I think that the pollster's assumption that the Obama coalition turns out for Hillary is one of the basis of the volatile polling.

Whether one considers that dictating to them or not is up to the individual. However nowhere in my assertion did I state that the government should force a company from relocating.

Excuse me while I do some virtue posturing:

DeToqueville opined that there would be a crisis over slavery and the Excise (tariffs) and that was eventually the basis of the Civil War conflict.
It is not so much the dosage as who is hit by the tariffs, and at the end of the 19th century there was a certain amount of discussion about what industry was profiting from what exclusion of what good by getting control of the various members of congress, and how that distortion of the market was affecting the consumer.
Although it might always start as a money maker, tariffs seem to devolve into a "goodies for friends" program.

*thank you , it does good to stretch*

Different countries use different tax collection procedures. I think all of them have tariffs and export fees, and countries like Mexico do not have a personal income tax, they tax companies directly based on the earnings of the employees.
I wonder if something like that would be more useful and easier to manage than the current progressive tax we have here.
I would propose a flat tax on each employee against the employer, and the employee would be responsible for matching some percentage of that. That is if we are willing to continue with a personal income tax instead of just going directly to the employer.

There are better solutions by the way, but I don't see them being even discussed in this day and age.

I for one am pretty anti-tariff - however; in instances where other countries are imposing their own manufacturing protections such as tariffs or nonsense regulations, or jiggering their currency by manipulating the market (cough ** China ** cough) I can see some uses for them. Remember - just because you do not like using that particular tool for most of the jobs at hand, generally speaking, does not mean that at some point it might come in handy - so let's not completely throw them out at this point.

550 Comey had LUDICROUS amounts of evidence against Spill in July, and all of the procedural irregularities (i.e. no grand jury; no subpoena powers; no searches of homes and confiscations, etc.; interviews not done under oath; destruction of evidence; no investigation into how the confidential material jumped the air gap; etc.) clearly illustrate that the investigation was never serious. Further, Comey pulled a "Roberts" and changed law on a whim to avoid the clear violation of the statutory strict liability offense for gross negligence, detracting us with the seperate "specific intent" section of the same statute that, frankly, she also violated simply by having the server.

But now, apparently what Weiner had on his PC is even WORSE than what they already had in their possession, AND the FBI rank and file and ready to revolt after having their reps ruined. Threatened leaks would look even worse, so Comey had no choice at this point. That last thing he wanted to do was go back to his steaming turd of a decision, reopening that wound and playing around in it, ESPECIALLY 10 days out of an election. He isn't doing it because he's a hero; he's covering his ass, and he's taking it from all sides. All because he simply didn't do his job and follow the law in July like he should have. He politicized it then, and now he's stuck with it.

My personal opinion is that Comey WAS going to recommend charges (to save face/credibility), and AG Lynch was going to refuse to take it to trial. Then Lynch and Der Schlick got caught on the tarmac rigging the game, so Comey had the booger flicked to him. That's why he peppered his July speech with reasons why she's guilty - he was forced to do the dirtiness to save Lynch and Barry from embarrassment or worse.

551 Chip dumping was also stopped with tariff ... or similar action. Airbus gets subsidies, I remember a French quote "we don't care if they never make a dime". Governments get involved to make sure their companies drive others out of business, whatever it takes. We lost a couple big aircraft producers, now Boeing is offshoring much of its production.

Globalists hard at work to escape our regulations ... half of which are really needed (real pollution, real worker safety, real quality control for things like drugs in shrimp, lead in toys).

And that works ... the US has survived as the global reserve currency, for now. But a trillion a year in deficits puts us in trouble ... that comes back to us not as equalizing fair trade, but as us paying interest on our debt, or foreigners buying up our assets (or just flat out buying our politicians, as with Clintons.)

good points ... but how was he forced? I think he was long ago compromised. Lynch never really recused herself ... so "the deal" was done before Comey did his public peppering.

Comey was not forced ... his job was to recommend prosecution, since that was what evidence overwhelmingly showed. Lynch should have been removed for meeting with Bill, Barry would have been exposed but not Comey's job to cover those crimes either. His oath is to protect us, not protect high crimes.
