Since Arizona is the Waterloo for Cruz getting to the nomination leading in delegates, I took a look at AZ polling. The latest poll dropped this morning, Trump 31, Cruz 19, Kasich 20 ... 40% undecided. The good news is that March 22nd will put the speculation to rest. Trump will either be the nominee or Cruz will have an opportunity to fight for it.

Extremely safe! Despite what you may hear, North Korea is probably one of the safest places on Earth to visit. Tourism is very welcomed in North Korea, thus tourists are cherished and well taken care of. We have never felt suspicious or threatened at any time. ----- Did Trump underperform or did the polls fail? I don't think the pollsters have a good handle on the differences between the states. They clearly nailed it in Florida, but there's been so much emphasis on Florida polling over the last few years that the polling companies probably already know how to sample there. Providing a reason for doing what you do is, in politics, almost as important for doing the thing. Instead of their lame, political rationale of "we just don't confirm Supreme Court Justices in an election year," here's how Republicans *should* clarify their opposition to Obama's Supreme Court nominee:
We cannot, and will not, confirm any Justice to the Supreme Court whose vote would imperil important Constitutional Rights such as the Right to Bear Arms and the Right to Practice Religion in accordance with their conscience. But they will probably stick with that stupid election year obstruction thing. Posted by: V the K at March 17, 2016 07:35 AM (O7MnT) 51

If these maladroit masterminds engineer a brokered convention in an attempt to install a bumblefuck like Kasich, the GOP will fracture on the spot, forcing a three-way split: Establishment/moderate, Trumptrue believers, and Conservative/traditional. It seems to me the differences between the three are irreconcilable. Posted by: troyriser at March 17, 2016 07:48 AM (UWlp+) 84

I want to volunteer in North Korea, where do I sign?
As tourism to the DPRK grows so does the interest of foreigners wanting to do and to experience more in North Korea. We are giving you the opportunity to not only learn more about the Korean culture but to also help out local communities in the country by getting involved. For each volunteer tour, a distinct program will be selected, and the entire tour would be based around this program as well as seeing all the must see sights of the country. This introduces each traveller to something very rarely seen, done or performed in the DPRK. Please contact us for more information. The GOP is not an oppositonal party, it stopped being oppositonal when they Julius Ceaserd Gingrich. Bohener was one of the cocksuckers who stuck in the knives.
The GOP exists as a weak sattlite to the actual ruling party - The Democrat Party. They don't care about winning issues or advancing an agenda, they care about having issues to run on not winning them. And as to the debt to GDP ratio, that is 100pct the fault of the GOP. At the end of this congress they will have controlled congress, i.e. the power of the purse, for 18 of the last 22 years. In that time the federal deficit has gone from just under 5 trillion to just under 20 trillion which is a nearly 300 pct increase, all under their watch, all with their imprimatur. The GOP is a useless fraudulent party, it needs to die. Hopefully this election will result in its utter demise and a new party can rise. Posted by: Kreplach at March 17, 2016 07:58 AM (g4721) 117

Well, from my unique perspective the only good reason to go to the DPRK would be to operate ham radio.
You could be the one station that everyone in the world wanted to talk to, in order to obtain written confirmation of the contact. Every band, every mode, until you couldn't do it any more, and still people would be calling .... and calling .... Yes, yes, I know, and that's why I'm not doing it right now, just sayin' .... many good and sufficient reasons why P5 is the rarest country in the ham radio universe. Can we break down the whole brokered convention thing? I'm trying to read the rules, and it doesn't seem like the GOP can just put someone in that they want. Seems the purpose is just to continue to vote to get one of the nominees over that required threshold by releasing the delegates from there pledge. How would the GOP just bring someone in that has no delegates. What am I missing here?
This seems like the standard procedure if neither candidate has the required amount of delegates. I think most delegates would probably stay with there original vote, or maybe there would be enough cross over to give the candidate with the most delegates that edge. They are great. 20 years ago you would get 4 tacos and a can of soda for 3 bucks flat. No tax added. Now of course it has gone up, but what a great deal for great food. Food has gotten so expensive - both fast and grocery. The dollar stores have fell in quality and really sell mostly crap these days.

Garland's anti 2A stance is THE most important thing for the Obama-Soros Administration. Its wedge, wedge, wedge 100% of the time, 24/7. Figures he can split off the suburban moms and help agitate the yutes by amping up the "Republicans are pro-gun nuts" in advance of the election.
If he amps up the race-hatred enough I'm sure they would relish a few incidents-ending-badly between urban Obama supporters and armed citizens, as a two-fer: demonize the "gun nuts" and help reproduce the 105% African American turnout that reliably votes 90+% Dem. If this is 1968 redux I think the Republicans (I know its odd to think of that fractured things a singular "party" but bear with me) are missing a Yuge opportunity to make the election largely about law-and-order. It won Giuliani the mayorlty in liberal NYC and its worked on a national scale before. It is the perfect anti-theme for the Democrat-Soros engineered Long Hot Summer we are probably going to see. It's great that people like Erick Erickson have now outed themselves as the partisan hack autocrats and frauds they are. I may not be Trump's biggest fan, but if the man wins fairly, in a manner that most past candidates have, he's the nominee. Ergo, I won't be playing the role of Judas with these losers. I can think of nothing more destructive that will anger people and ensure a loss to The Hag.
In fact, I think they know that and it's the plan. They want a do-over and want to hang the entire process, which they will undermine and destroy, as a "problem with Trump", when it's really a problem with the plotters. 215 But, I'm still left with the question on why everyone is freaking out about this in general
--------------------------------------------------- Again, I think it's the evident corruption people worry about. Thought experiment: if we could trust our party, would normal political deal-making (especially if it's with each other and not the Democrats) provoke such a fevered reaction? Because it does right now. Voters seem to believe any political deal making is, ipso facto, corrupt. That obviously is exactly the opposite of true, but we do not live in normal times. I think that's the problem-- voters don't trust the GOP and don't trust deals the leaders will try to make behind closed doors. And yet, that is what has to happen in a brokered convention, so we need to get over that problem somehow. As Michael Corleone said, we need to settle all family business so we can make the peace. To do that, the GOPe has to somehow meet us halfway, which they won't ever do, and consultants/lobbyists/deviant politicians have to be disciplined. Maybe start with everyone in the side-bar video- expel them from their jobs and the party. Kick John Cornyn in the balls on national TV. Do something positive for America. Rumor from Trump HQ is that retaining loyalist support might get shaky as the campaign goes on, so a plan has been formulated:
The eviction of illegals will leave a vacuum in the yard-labor industry. The victory of Trump over the GOPe commentariat/consultant class will create a surplus of sullen, overeducated, unemployed. Trump loyalists who stay on-side will each be issued two GOPe menials to perform yardwork, errands, etc. I have selected S.E. Cupp and Megyn Kelly. Mrs. Zod is not yet aware of this change to our household. Posted by: General Zod at March 17, 2016 08:48 AM (Bdeb0) 244

One of the comments (it's a blog post now) at my hangout crayfisher.WordPress.com said one of the reasons the GOPe hates Trump is that he is killing the high powered "consultants" racket. Like the guy Jeb paid like 30 million for nothing - not one state won. And here comes Trump who just pays Lewandowski a salary, he doesn't need fundraisers or special meetings, and he's winning everything. Posted by: @votermom at March 17, 2016 08:36 AM (cbfNE)" Consultants get paid a percentage of the money that they spend on TV commercials. There was a time when TV commercials were an effective way of connecting with voters but both of the Obama election campaigns used a combination of big data analysis to micro target commercials at particular groups on niche cable TV shows that they watch (much cheaper than broadcast TV) and internet ads, also targeted with a particular message towards particular voters. That is more work and does not pay as well so Republican consultants don't like to do it. The Democrats also have a common database that they share between campaigns which Republican consultants hate because they sell their smaller and less useful databases to candidates. So for all of our (justified) bitching about the debt that Bush 43 racked-up, it took 1) the collapse of the real estate bubble and 2) the election of a Democrat House and Senate in 2007 to grow the Debt/GDP ratio to the same level it was at the peak of Bill "Fiscal Discipline" Clinton's reign. Whereupon Liam peered at a marker and said, "This feller, John, from Killarney, was 87." Sean went a little deeper into the cemetery and said, "Here's Mary, from Cork, 102!" Seamus, being askeered of cemeteries had stayed by the side of the road, but reading another marker yelled, "I've got you both beat. This one's 152." "What's his name?" Sean yelled. Seamus squinted at the sign and replied, "Miles, from Dublin." Posted by: Seamus Muldoon at March 17, 2016 09:40 AM (NeFrd) 400

Saw this morning on F&F a segment in which the CEO of Sea World and the president of HSUS(almost as radical as PETA) were sitting on the curvy couch and announcing that Sea World is ending it's killer whale program.
They will no longer be breeding killer whales and eventually, when all the whales die, there will be no more killer whales at Sea World. Meanwhile, I believe they are suspending all their killer whale shows. No more human trainers, etc. Will be reconfiguring their whale areas into learning centers that explain that while Sea World has been an evil enterprise all these years and has condemned the current captive whales to a life of hell, the whales in the ocean swim ten miles a day, do this , and that, etc. The HSUS guy was quite pleased with himself and his organization. I personally don't care for captive whale shows , but I do not like HSUS because their real agenda is like PETA, no more animal breeders, no pet ownership, no hunting, etc. And they scored a major victory toward that goal today. Politico and Breitbart are reporting that Boehner called Ted Cruz..."Lucifer".
Once again the GOP globalist, oligarchic leadership will do everything they can to prevent Trump or Cruz from being the nominee. Even if they are one delegate short required, or the GOPe will just dump the rules and create new ones to get their way. Any Cruz supporter who actually thinks their guy is going to win the nomination by just getting the magic number of delegates, or beating Trump is kidding themselves. It is going to take a lot more than that. If the GOP leadership manages to get their way, and neither Trump or Cruz is the nominee, then it will be much worse than any of the supposed "dangers" a Trump nomination or presidency will mean. If Cruz or Trump supporters just accept this it will mean: Message 1: Voters don't matter, not even average Republican voters. What matters is what the oligarchy says. It is one thing to choose between Trump or Cruz if they are close enough in delegate totals, but it is outside the American mainstream (at least since the 20th century) to choose someone else who has not run at all. The same goes for a candidate who won a state or two and is way behind two other candidates. Message 2: The GOP voters really are sheep, or worse idiots enslaved by oligarchy. No different than the people who we make fun of for living on a Democrat plantation. Wake up: We are on a plantation too! Message 3: It will encourage those who run the GOP to double down on what they have been doing. After all why not! The voters just rolled over again after the two top voted candidates were denied the nomination. I can tell you what will happen to all those who caused problems for the GOP leadership: they will be isolated, and crushed. Cruz will be on the top of that list. You want to see abusive and totalitarian tactics...wait until you see the newly empowered and vengeful GOPe in action no longer constrained by voter anger. I hope Cruz voters understand the stakes involved here. I hope Cruz understands it. If you hate Trump realize there are worse things than a Trump nomination. Unless Cruz gets the nod, then it must be Trump. Otherwise, all this has been a complete waste of time. It will mean oligarchy is our real political system. That is much worse than the so called "clown" winning. Posted by: William Eaton at March 17, 2016 10:03 AM (q52Ma) 468

The mastermind behind the Sinatra Jr kidnapping only served about 4 years in custody bc he was nuts. I wonder how much time his codefendants served.

So, Elijah Cummings, D , before Gov. Rick Snyder has begun testifying, tells the committee members in the hearing today that if Rick Snyder were a CEO of a company, he would have been arrested and brought up on charges for the water contamination in Flint.
When is someone going to press charges against Elijah Cummins? What a racist dirtbag that guy is. Posted by: Jen the original at March 17, 2016 10:10 AM (rKNmI) 490

Posted by: Bruce With a Wang! at March 17, 2016 10:09 AM (iQIUe) This all starts with a belief that the evil Rethuglicans are just a bunch of meanies who make up lies about other countries and religions. The world is a nice place with lovely people everywhere. I don't believe this nonsense about Muslim extremists in Syria.... And then you're head is disconnected from your neck after you tape an interview with their version of Chris Wallace. Posted by: AlaBAMA at March 17, 2016 10:11 AM (2PHKP) 493

My thoughts exactly. What church incites a kid to theft in an insane totalitarian country and has donors with $200k lying around that they won't let go of unless they get some propaganda trinket? Could be. Weird thing for them to dictate, though. I'd expect "I'm an endlessly greedy capitalist who heinously disrespected the heroic thoughts of our Dear Leaders and I beg to be re-educated." The whole church story is nutsy.
... It combines both--greedy capitalist and evil church/religion. Posted by: ajmojo at March 17, 2016 10:15 AM (1H9ox) 497

Everyone is taking for granted that the kid actually did try to steal that stupid poster - because the kid confessed after what I am sure was a very pleasant and respectful interrogation.
Maybe he did it - and maybe the Norks decided the second he set foot in their hellhole that they were going to arrest an American for something - just to spit in our faces, because they know JEF won't do anything.
