Good morning all.
From this date in 1944- near Naples, Italy Feb 2, 1944 - The EZ Dog Journal Slept late. Could have gone to Capri but couldn't see the use in wasting a day like that. Spent the morning shopping and the afternoon cruising around in the General's car. The coast drive around the point at Sorrento is certainly beautiful. Had a native dance, original from Sorrento, as a floor show at dinner. Quaint old country costumes. Dance is called "Tarantilla" or something like that. Nice little break from the war. I think last night proved once and for all that the RNC has to take action regarding our primary system. The stunning lack of judgement the state of Iowa has demonstrated cannot possibly be ignored by the party.
The four formost contenders all have little to no experience in government. The Iowa caucus has devolved into a politicized celebrity coronation without any thought for the good of the country. At this point Im very skeptical that this election can still be salvaged for the party, but Reince Priebus MUST take first steps to ensure that the party doesnt devolve into another circus in 2020! I like Ted among all of the choices on the R side this go-round. I do wish he would not spout scripture while he is doing these televised speeches. Bad, bad move. The MF media is going to marginalize him within undecided/pop culture voter types. (Oh, look! that crazy Cruz is at it again!!) Simply put, the MF left has marginalized Christianity to the point that public displays of it are now gauche or uncool. I think that is shameful and they ought to be whipped from the public square with lengths of sheep entrails but Ted, dammit, don't hand your enemies a club to beat you with! A great reawakening could be brought about in this country in favor of Christ, but you have to bring people along slowly at first. This will end up being a major turn off. Not smart.

I'm sure it's already been stated, but the big question out of Iowa is this: will Trump learn and get a ground-game in place (which I'm relatively certain he can do quickly) in time to do well in New Hampshire and then to start regaining ground in SC?
Trump placed a close, and yet not-so-close, second place in Iowa. He doesn't need to place first in either Iowa or New Hampshire (I *think*), but if he keeps losing ground to Cruz, then it may well become a self-feeding cycle. I don't even care about Rubio's 3rd place win. Unless he jumps past Trump AND Cruz in New Hampshire, it basically won't matter; I can't see SC going for Rubio, and then you start moving into states where Rubio's amnesty stance is really going to hurt him. Having said that, I feel like Trump would have more impact on society and would be better able to win the general against either of the communistas. Hopefully, Trump and Cruz have plans to include the other in their administrations. And I hope they can collaborate, as you said, and turn their guns on the real domestic enemies, the Leftards. They cite wanting to find genetic cures for MS and other diseases but bottom line, they are destroying what could be viable embryos. I find it very sad honestly.

All the talk for Dear Marco is just a spin attempt by the media (Fox, in particular) to build momentum for the next two races where he's way behind.

In Gattaca they all drove nuclear powered Ramblers, so they had that going for them.

Don't many carry permits specifically exclude bars?
Not mine. Here's how it works. You can carry openly or concealed, your choice (up until relatively recently you couldn't carry concealed but you could still carry openly....). You may not be "impaired" while carrying either way (impaired generally recognized as the BAC standard for driving), and for concealed there is a prohibition against drinking while in an establishment. When the concealed ban was lifted in VA, the usual suspects were all up in arms about people going into restaurants while carrying and getting drunk then shooting the place up. Well, it's been several years now and not a single incident. So fuck this stupid "mothers" group. Posted by: VA GOP Sucks at February 02, 2016 09:30 AM (eytER) 309
The White House announced the First Lady's post White House plans today. She will star with Tom Hanks in a new Fox series, Turner and Mooch. The series is a buddy cop series about a naive cop and his big, slobbery partner who chews up car seats and pisses all over everything.

"but you have to bring people along slowly at first"
If quoting a phrase from a Psalm, which is in the OLD Testament, by the way, is too Christian for our culture to endure, then we are doomed. Although, that phrase also occurs in Christian contemporary music ("Your Love Never Fails"), which I would suspect was the origin of the quotation, not study of the OT. Yeah, the Gattaca-like DNA experimentation on embryos they'll be doing in the UK is scary. So many people upset by animal testing, yet when it's an embryo it's OK....? Posted by: artisanal 'ette at February 02, 2016 08:56 AM Salient observation ma'am. On the other hand, if the GOPe really is in a panic as some folks claim, Donutman, Luap nor the Lesser and !Jeb will drop out to bolster Rubio in the primaries in those states . Posted by: CrotchetyOldJarhead at February 02, 2016 09:11 AM (VcKnO) Pretty sure Luap's voters go to Trump or Cruz. Posted by: Caesar North of the Rubicon at February 02, 2016 09:36 AM (5f5bM) 315

My heavens! That Moms Demand ad was stupid from start to finish, but especially finish.
OTOH, good. Wouldn't want to be in a restaurant with such a bizarre group of bad actors, anyway. At the place we sometimes breakfast, there's often a fellow at the counter with a holstered pistol on his hip. I always think, in case of problems, I'm glad he's there! Unfortunate, though, that if you're sitting at the counter, you've got your back to the door... Posted by: mindful webworker - and the music!! at February 02, 2016 09:41 AM (Yu4ah) 318
What I mean (and perhaps phrased poorly) is that public culture, dominated by the Godless communists as it is, mocks public displays of Christianity ruthlessly. The weak kneed -minded? un-political LIV types live in mortal fear of public shaming. Given that innocent people have lost entire careers due to one wrong word on social media that fear iswell founded. We will see an attempt to smear Cruz supporters as religious bigots onSM, and their SJW cadre will pick out people and make examples of them. Those people play forkeeps, and your life isn't worth a splinter to them. Posted by: Put that kid back where it came from or So Help Me at February 02, 2016 09:44 AM (HPNqc) 319
