I know for sure that there is one in Cantonese, because I've watched hundreds of old '70s and '80s Hong Kong comedy films, and "gay accent" language jokes crop up pretty often, plus I know Cantonese speakers in real life and they have confirmed it, but were too embarrassed to try to replicate it for me.
Tracking the "gay accent" across languages would be a faaaabulous PhD thesis in Linguistics. Seriously.

My guess is that some gays, as part of their homosexuality, are drawn to mimicking femininity and end up with the gay accent, and that it spread throughout the community as others started imitating it.

It's a legit question, and one that is playing out in the courts in VT (and think somewhere else as well) atm for both Cruz and Rubio, which is probably why Trump is throwing it out there. I'm fine with whatever the result is, most likely that they both qualify without issue, but I don't see the harm in getting this out of the way and put to bed before one of these people end up our nominee.

wife was bombarded by 1900 Haji pretty much every day for 45 days in a row....

My understanding is that U.S. citizenship law was somewhat different in Hawaii in 1961, when one parent was a U.S. citizen but a resident of Hawaii, and the other parent a foreign national, because of Hawaii's relatively recent accession as a state.
There was a short window of time, including '61, wherein different provisions and qualification applied for birthright citizenship.
However, here's the kicker. Even if Barack Obama had bona fide U.S. natural-born citizen status at delivery, when he became a citizen of Indonesia briefly, he would have had to formally surrender same (i.e., to have had his parents sign to surrender it, acting for him). The Indos have strict rules against dual loyalties. They want to see the notarized paperwork of renunciation before they'll let you become Indonesian.
Obama never refiled to regain his U.S. citizenship. He just came back. And paperwork in Hawaii was so sloppy he got away with it (albeit with some obvious workarounds like his taking on a Connecticut social security number). In the most technical legal sense, the USA has probably had an Indonesian as its chief executive for the last seven years.

Factually untrue. The 1790 naturalization act (1st Congress) mentions "natural born citizen"s born abroad, with such extension of who was considered a natural born citizen made by an act of Congress.
So, jus soli is not an absolute requirement, nor is being "naturally born" a citizen defined by some unalterable criteria. On the flip side, the common law regocnized jus soli regardless of blood.

My stepson had dual citizenship and didn't know it until he joined the Navy at the age of 24.
He was born here in Texas. Father is a US citizen. His mother was a UK citizen with a green card.
Kid found out he had dual US/UK citizenship when he joined the Navy and wanted to be on a nuke sub. They demanded he revoke his UK citizenship before they'd let him be a Nuke.

A natural born citizen is just a citizen at birth. A person by the Constitution is a citizen at birth if they are born in the U.S. and not legally outside its jurisdiction (e.g. an ambassador).

I have not found the DEFINITIVE meaning. So, I will not claim to KNOW what was meant by the founders.
Yet, and I find this hilarious, people who have only read OPINIONS of others who base their understanding of the term on people who have read the brief and inconclusive research of OTHERS, think that they KNOW that Ted Cruz is what the founders meant when the put the restriction in the Constitution. Second-hand. The people they rely on are researching to support Ted's claim, NOT to discover the actual historic meaning.
So, after more than 500 hours of research spanning years, I am an idiot who is a birther. After THEY read a blog article or two supporting their candidate, THEY are the expert.
At least I have the clarity to know I am not an expert, for I do not have the last, best piece to this puzzle. The research that I have done does not support Cruzs case to be considered a natural-born citizen, but as I don't have the "holy grail" in historical definition, I do NOT lay claim to knowing that he is not qualified. Yet because I still find a reasonable likelihood that it is an unsettled dilemma, I am a birther. Funny, obama seemed to feel that regardless of his parents citizenship status, as long as he was born ON US SOIL, it didn't matter.
Make up your minds on this. Better yet - spend hundreds of hours researching and have the damn HONESTY to admit that you don't have the proof one way or the other.

My stepson had dual citizenship and didn't know it until he joined the Navy at the age of 24.
He was born here in Texas. Father is a US citizen. His mother was a UK citizen with a green card.
And he is not a natural born citizen. natural born citizens are American citizens and never anything but American citizens.
Kid found out he had dual US/UK citizenship when he joined the Navy and wanted to be on a nuke sub. They demanded he revoke his UK citizenship before they'd let him be a Nuke.
This stuff does happen.

Wrong. There are more than just two classes of citizen.
There is a new class of citizen in the US that was not around when the Founders' "natural born citizen" class was written - dual/multi citizens. Clearly, they were not included in the class of natural born citizens, since the Founders didn't even allow for American dual citizens (as evidenced from then to the same oath of RENUNCIATION and allegiance that every naturalizing American must take, thereby taking away any alien citizenship/allegiance/loyalty that the person might have) it's clear that they didn't include such citizen types in the class of natural born citizen.
You can just make stuff up and create new sorts of citizens and then assign them to whatever class you want ... because .. why not? I mean, since naturalizing Americans can, in their first act as Americans, take an oath to renounce all other citizenships ... but then retain those other citizenships, anyway, and everyone cool with that ... well why not just make up more shit about dual citizens being natural born citizens? We allow naturalizing Americans to take the most imp[ortant oath in BAD FAITH as their first act as "Americans" so it just makes sense to shit all over the rest of the citizenship issues, especially the one SPECIAL requirement the Founders had made for the Presidency.

There are statutes that are a form of naturalization. A natural born citizen is just that natural born and not subject to various statutes regarding circumstances of birth and parentage.

The Senate passed a non-binding resolution declaring McShame a natural born citizen (co-sponsored by Barky, BTW) which the Senate had no power or right to do and which was a joke, anyway. He probably figured that since he wasn't 'naturalized' there would not be a record or recollection that he was a natural born canadian first.THEN his mother would have had to register his birth abroad, at which point his us citizenship would have recognized after birth. depending on then current regs they have had to endure further examination and received a handsome certificate suitable for framing... maybe not even until after he went stateside after a number of years.

I have spent a good amount of time researching this and "natural born citizen" (or "natural born subject") referred to citizenship by birth. There is no evidence or indiction that there has ever been a distiction between a person born a citizen and person born as a super-citizen, or any other distinction between individuals who are by birth born as citizens. It can be further proved that who is considered a natural born citizen can be varied by statute.

Funny thing is, I'm not 100% on any of the candidates. I don't like Trump mostly because his positions are far too close to liberalism- not in the classic sense, either. Almost like voting in another style of Bush, but without the government experience. He may have rightly calculated it would not matter or could be talked around in a Senate run, because unless he ended up pro-temp some how it wouldn't come into play with regard to the presidency. But he's running for POTUS now, and it should and does matter so I don't mind the debate, it's worth having, though much like with Obama I don't know that it's going to end up going anywhere.

That act was not operative for long and it was a mistake. Congress does not have the power to define first-level Constitutional language and terms. If it did then Congress could amend the Constitution merely by redefining whatever it liked.

There are several Supreme Court rulings that affirmed the definition of NBC to be juis solis and juis sangre (land and blood). No scotus rulings have ever altered this finding. Furthermore, the founders wrote extensively on this widely understood concept, which was based on natural law (vs man's law, or statutory law). Specifically: a person born to two citizen parents (blood), in the country (land) their allegiance and citizenship is to one country alone. No law is necessary to grant them citizenship; they are "natural born citizens."

The restriction, thus, of being a natural born citizen was a restriction that one had to be born a citizen, and was not a restriction on who was considered to have been born as a citizen. Looking at history, by the Common Law this included those born jus soli, and by statute, others.

Well, you have your definition and I have mine. We both have good reasons for our opinions, but, until this is either adjudicated or explicitly defined via Constitutonal amendment (the only ways that this issue can be handled) it will remain fuzzy and unresolved. Sadly, this should have gone through the courts in 2008 but the judges are pathetic pussies and the GOP and Vichy Right were a bunch of pansies who were scared to even talk about eligibility (even though we had descended to the point where a NON-AMERICAN was actually on ballots for the Presidency ... a friggin ALIEN!!!!).
Until either of those resolutions is had we are each led to follow our own ideas about what constitutes "natural born citizen" and to vote accordingly. As to that, even a court determination would still leave people with some misgivings, but at least they would have tried and had to come up with some bullshit to support whatever decision they came to.
Instead, people thought that merely ignoring the issue and pretending the Constitution doesn't exist was the best course of action ... And so, here is where we remain.

I got issues with Ted beyond the natural born issue that have to do with policy, but I don't take him to be some easily duped simpleton. Another reason, I refuse to shut up about this issue is because of sites like Free Republic. You are actually not allowed to post about Cruz being ineligible over there. It's crazy. It's cultish. It's communistic. It's unAmerican. It's anti-Constitutional.
Article II Sec I was EXPLICITLY written by the founding fathers for a reason. It has meaning and force of law. Bull. I have never seen anything like that, and no one has ever been able to proide this mythical proof. Some have defines "natural born citizen" as have certain requirements, but have not distinguished it from being a citizen by birth.
If you have evidence to the contrary, please be so kind as to state it.
Further, that both Jus Sanguine and Jus Solis is not borne out by history. There have been some SCOTUS cases that mused about it or pulled stuff out of their butt in an aside when it comes to jurisdiction, but on the whole this is not borne out.
The Wong Kim Ark case gives a well footnoted discussion from both sides. Not even the dissenting judges declared there to be a difference between "natural born citizen" and a "citizen by birth".

I'm hearing a lot of noise right now from establishment guys like Michael Medved and Bill Bennett and the aforementioned Trey Gowdy about how they'll totally support the GOP nominee, even if it's Trump, and they're really counting on conservatives who are angry at the GOP to do the same, because Hillary!
At first, I thought they were at the "bargaining" stage of grief, but then I realized something...
At this point, the only people who can really keep Trump from being the GOP nominee are the same people who make and enforce the rules in the GOP primary. You know, the GOP establishment. And they have been talking recently about having a "brokered convention" where they pick who they want, voters be damned.
And so, they're just laying the rhetorical groundwork to say, "Well, sure, we said we'd support Trump if he's the nominee, but he's not the nominee. It's not our fault we changed the rules at the last minute. You have to support Mitt Romney now, just like we'd have been forced to support Trump if we hadn't personally screwed him out of the nomination against the voters' wishes. Team GOPe! Because Hillary."

Well, I'm convinced that Trump is the only GOP candidate who can win this year. Mitt "the only guy who can win" Romney lost every swing state in 2012. John "the only guy who can win" McCain lost every swing state and also two red states in 2008. Meanwhile, Trump puts frickin' New York in play in 2016.

President 8 was the first president to be have been born in the U.S.A. His successor was born before the founding. President 9 is the very last President not born within the U.S.A. as founded, yet nonetheless he was born in territory that became part of a state within the U.S.A.
Assuming we don't go ahead and conquer the Great White North between now and when Ted Cruz is inaugurated as POTUS, Cruz would become the very first POTUS not to have been born either within the U.S.A. or else within territory that has as a result of the founding or at some time since it become part of the U.S.A.
That's not nothing. That's actually quite a big deal - or would be, if he were to be elected. The only problem is that Cruz will not be elected president, ever.

I can believe lots of things... that isn't one of them, some other states perhaps where republicans always seem to fall a bit short maybe, but not NY, or CA for that matter, way too far gone imho. I do believe he'd lose NY by a closer margin then in recent cycles but 'in play' ie a few point race, don't think so. Be happy to be proved wrong though, but that said if that were to actually materialize he likely wouldn't need NY as it would signal wins elsewhere such as PA\NJ\MI\WI unless something truly weird happened with NY being off on it's own island.
