2 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, December 26, 2015. On this day in 1846 while trapped in snow in the Sierra Nevadas and without food, some members of the Donner Party resorted to cannibalism. The location of that act became known as Donner Pass and if you are driving from the Bay Area to Reno Nevada you will go right through there.

9 BB takes note of the rise of third world diseases in the US that had been eradicated. The last time I reported on this I included a quote from the CDC who said it had nothing to do with all the illegals pouring from those third world shitholes. Like everyone else in the corrupt Obama regime, they lied.

Thought of something regarding the AG in Virginia re: CCW reciprocity.

Could other states refuse to reciprocate recognizing Virginia driver's licenses or vehicle registrations?

31 30 Could other states refuse to reciprocate recognizing Virginia driver's licenses or vehicle registrations?

Posted by: Golfman - Xenophobe Extrodinaire at December 26, 2015 06:40 AM (bPXBn)

Probably not.

Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at December 26, 2015 06:42 AM (t2KH5)

32 Wonder why, Vic? Notice I used could instead of would.

I've been told for years, driving is a privilege not a right.

Posted by: Golfman - Xenophobe Extrodinaire at December 26, 2015 06:43 AM (bPXBn)

33 Because the Consitution says other States must recognize such things as licenses etc. But they have never applied that to gun control laws because nearly every State had different laws and it wasn't until Heller that the second amendment was incorporated, and even then it was only half-ass incorporated.

Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at December 26, 2015 06:46 AM (t2KH5)

34 VA's AG's rationale was that some states CCW requirements weren't as stringent as other states. That's why 5 states' reciprocity remains.

Using the AG's rationale, we could slide down many favorable slippery slopes. Some states license illegal drivers.

Posted by: Golfman - Xenophobe Extrodinaire at December 26, 2015 06:47 AM (bPXBn)

42 34 Some states license illegal drivers.

Posted by: Golfman - Xenophobe Extrodinaire at December 26, 2015 06:47 AM (bPXBn)

In the States that refuse to license illegals there is already movement by illegals to force them to give them licenses. Because States like CA have licensed them. But that whole driver's license kerfunckle is about to explode because the requirement to have licenses that conform to the federal regulations put in place by the 9-11 commission is about to actually go into effect.
And not all States meet those requirements.

58 I was supposed to go home for Christmas a couple of weeks ago, but I ran into Visa issues, so I wasn't able to leave Saudi Arabia. In fact, I had to drive to the King Fahd causeway twice in a week to get it straightened out. This is a 5 hour one way trip from Riyadh, where I live. That is, it is 5 hours if I don't go under 75 the entire way (and the Saudis rarely go that slow).

The issue wasn't my fault as the Saudis hadn't stamped my passport when I left the kingdom, nor did they stamp it when I reentered, though the Bahrainis did - both ways. Anyway it is now fixed. However, I did learn that come 2016, they will no longer check visas at security when leaving Saudia.

However, I am returning home for three weeks starting early January, so it isn't all bad news...

Cold and windy. SSF continuing attack. Little other action.

Attack continues along the ridges of Mount Sambucaro (Sammucro)
(As we learned earlier this week, the SSF is the Special Service Force, a joint American-Canadian special warfare unit that trained in Helena, MT. They would later be known to the Germans as the "Schwarzeteufeln" or "Black Devils". In the U.S. they are more commonly recognized as the "Devil's Brigade".)
The SSF left flyers or patches with their insignia and the phrase "Das dicke Ende kommt noch" on the bodies of killed German soldiers at Anzio to instill fear in the enemy.

"The worst is yet to come!"

91 So, someone help me out here.

I keep hearing and seeing articles about "Giving back to the community".

The "back" part is bothering me, as it strikes me as another way to imply that success for one has come at the expense of others. In other words, just another way to say that success is evil, and others are owed for your success.

I would feel linguistically better if it were just "Giving to the community".

127 "stupid activist is quoted here saying that raising the minimum wage creates jobs."

Forced "giving back to the community". It builds the commie ideas, that everyone deserves a higher paying job, even if they don't work efficiently enough to earn it. Then they act like the guy that works so efficiently he can manage to build a factory, he is taking.

It is the divide a pie, or make a lot of pies idea of capitalism. The "you didn't build that" nuts don't realize capitalism and individual sacrifice DID indeed build that. Much they built directly, other parts they built by being so industrious they generated wealth that government could then take (tax).

But I do like the concept of building "community", as opposed to all this top down command and control. Putting money in a local bank, investing locally where you can see what is being done, for the people around you ... all that is being short circuited as NY/DC confiscate all power. Big banks are encouraged to get even bigger, most of our assets flow through the big brokerages and banks.

174 Elijah told Ahab that Israel would be punished with drought because of his evil ways.

Elijah was just like our modern climatologissts, warning us about climate chaos that will result if we do not curb carbon pollution. You're welcome.

179 Well, if we are going to re-write the birth of Jesus, it shouldn't be too hard to re-write the life of Mohammed, right?
