I spent several days last year in Philly. (about this time of year) It snowed, but a nice city. Went almost everywhere, never realized the whole city is row houses! Saw the good and bad areas, but every city has them.

The next weekend our picture is in the Philadelphia inquirer above an article about how 'young toughs' are terrorising the residents of South Street. I had fun in my letter to the editor describing how I was a business executive, my wife a professional in education, and how the residents had nothing to fear from us.
Since the photographer was using available light the black and white photo was kinda grainy and not very sharp or I might have considered suing their asses off.

Also, the prior incident regarding someone hurling a racial epithet at a white student likely means both the pooper and racial epithet guy are one and the same (both happened in the same building, same floor, days apart). But somehow I think it is also linked to the war on "for profit" Universities that is occurring under most peoples radar. The VA is the latest to jump on that bandwagon and banned the use of the GI Bill or Voc Rehab money from certain for profit schools. The reason they gave was the graduation rate wasn't high enough. Got news for them, the 4 year graduation rate from some public schools isn't great either.

There is no systematic racial bias against blacks today. If anything, the bias is overwhelmingly in their favor.

See I just don't buy that stuff. I blame individuals for their actions not entire groups. You may not buy it. No moral person would think that way, or would continue to think that way once the problem is pointed out to them.
But the left do use this tactic. That is the difference between us and the left. We would see a false accusation used to foment racial strife, like, say, in To Kill a Mockingbird and we think "How horrible, we must stop that kind of thing".
The left sees that and thinks, "Cool! Another tool for our toolbox. The only problem is that the wrong side was using it. When we do that, it's ok!"

And that's the crux of the matter. These activists are drunk on the power, but don't have a real end game in mind so there's no way to reach "the end". I suspect that feeling is also highly addictive and the ones in front of this won't *want* to declare victory and go back to a normal, boring life.

Same here. What really has gotten to me though is the "Friends of the Blog" and even at least one occassional Cob (and a couple, though thankfully not many, of the Horde) who went from congenial to spittle flecked 'Get out of my party, you racist' to anyone not sufficiently critical of Trump. It was a shock, and I don't think I will ever be able to view particular people that I had liked very much (in a pixel sort of way) the same way again.

I see a smackdown brawl coming between Heb! and Romney, the "safe" GOPe choices, and the candidates of the New Progressive, Inclusive bunch -- call them the Junior GOPe -- who will agitate for teh Cruzer and Rubio.
Meanwhile, Trump will get the majority of the actual primary votes but is, of course, Too Dangerous for the party.

There were the protests in Ferguson, which spread...for a bit.
There were the brunch protests.
Now it's colleges, but it's November. Will anyone want to protest when they come back to campus in January?
Or you could claim that this started with Occupy Wall Street...either way, where exactly is this going? And how could you possibly get there when most of what people see is that professor threatening an Asian kid?

Of course. But the reason they keep using this tactic, successfully I might add, is because we keep chasing the squirrel instead of attacking the root of the problem.
This is not an organic protest. It is all part of a coordinated attack from the left on anything and everything we hold sacred. And Hillary will continue to do this shit if we don't beat her. And she has more flaws from lefty orthodox than any candidate on the left. They don't care, they just want to win and they will worry about holding her accountable after they win.
If we don't start at the top we are going to continue to fight these tactical brush fires while the left moves the center always further to the left. I'm still looking for the person who is not just good on the issues but can actually win because winning with someone less than pure is a hell of a lot better than losing.

You keep saying this, but I am still not convinced he will. Time will tell. I would still bet money on Rubio being the nominee, but I agree with Rich Lowry, Cruz has a real shot. I have long said that Cruz is much stronger than people think. Perhaps Nixonian in a way in that he lacks in personal appeal (though I am not turned off by his looks, voice, tone like others) but has great political skills.
