I'm conflicted about the Starbucks red cups thing and locally there's a petition to get the mall to bring back the Christmas tree. On the one hand, private biz should be able to do what they want. OTOH the only reason they ditched the Christmas tree, and businesses don't use the word Christmas anymore, is because if SJW's and their "I'm offended " campaigns. So if we go by Alinsky rules we should be maling them live up to their own rules. Christians are right to go on counter "I'm offended" campaigns. If they don't then they are basically okay with being marginalized. (specially the mall one coz let's fave it no one is boycotting an entire mall for Christmas so a campaign is the only solution) Posted by: @votermom at November 10, 2015 09:36 AM (cbfNE) Posted by: Bigby's Hitching Thumb at November 10, 2015 09:37 AM (3ZtZW) 71

I under went a form of anger management
What an interesting antique circumlocution. An ancient cliche, you might say. Back when lots of us had to read very brief "Lives of the Masters" about poets and composers, in the days when things like promiscuity and syphilis weren't mentioned, enlightened souls who had shacked up were always described as having "undergone a form of marriage." Back then, there were still pieces of inside information to snicker about. Now, a composer's advanced STD are point one in the pre-concert lecture. Unless he's still alive, in which case he's usually there, and it's on display for all to see. And hear. Posted by: Stringer Davis at November 10, 2015 09:42 AM (xq1UY) 86
>>I'm conflicted about the Starbucks red cups thing and locally there's a
petition to get the mall to bring back the Christmas tree. Same. However, my feeling is, if a business won't acknowledge Christmas than it is the height of hypocrisy to also try to sell me Christmas presents. It's insulting. After all these years of Obama I'm leaning toward the Alinsky approach - gotta shout just as loud as the cry-bullies. And were any of these moves motivated by an actual complaint, or is this them preemptively tossing us over for fear of an imaginary, future complaint? Stop the damn world, I want off. http://tinyurl.com/nm9mbga (please tell me this is parody) Dear Jane, I've been in such a state of perpetual turmoil ever since giving birth. My child, pronoun 'they', is now 3-years-old. I have been mired in a heinous state of chronic depression because 'they' do not want to play with girl's toys. It destroys me that 'they' might be another white CIS male, and another future agent of the patriarchy. That's just not the type of lifestyle I can support or agree with. 'Their' father has also been deeply despondent over our child's reluctance to conform to our stance and ideals on gender. My husband identifies as gender neutral, and whenever 'Xe' (my husbands current pronoun) witnesses our child playing with toy trucks and trains, it triggers 'Xer' so hard that 'Xe' crumbles into a quivering pile of inconsolable PTSD jitters. Seriously, this HAS to be fake. Posted by: RWC - Team BOHICA at November 10, 2015 09:53 AM (fWAjv) 113

Just a quick brain fart of a rant...
There's been a bit of an awakening recently that there may not be a party in our political system for capitalist conservatives. That awakening - the may not be - part, is exactly the problem. There is no 'may not be' - there is only 'there isn't'. The left has their own analogues: blacks and Jews. The left doesn't represent blacks. It exploits them. There is no other political or social group that is more anti-Zionist, anti-Jewish (religious aspect of Judaism), or anti-Semitic than the left, yet Jews, as a political block, are almost exclusively liberal. Conservatism and classic liberalism are simply not represented anymore in our political system. I honestly don't think that most people who identify themselves as being Democrat would identify themselves as being socialist, or even the type of liberal that Hillary purports herself to be. Our current political parasitic two party system maintains itself by traditional inertia. People vote Democrat or Republican because they have always done so and the Dem and Republican establishments continue to represent themselves as the parties they were in the past - and because "We must preserve the two party system," nothing changes. It has changed a little with this recent awakening to the reality that somebody or something is being represented, but it ain't us, but it won't change enough to affect any outcome in this next election. And because it probably won't change in this election, it probably won't change in the next election either, because in the end, "the two party system must be preserved." That's all. If they deny the legitimacy of everu tradition and institution of this country as some sort of "conspiracy" againt Persons of Vagina or other victim group of her choosing, then we are not obligated to recognize the supposed source of her authority either. You don't like the Bill of Rights or recognize the legitimacy of the American concept of individual liberty? Fine, I don't recognize the legitimacy of a sociology degree, or an academic career built on the manipulation of ambiguous semantic catagories like "racism" or "patriarchy." Their angle (vs Apple) is that after two years or more, when your watch is obsolete, you can bring it back and they will replace the innards with classic Swiss mechanical guts and you will have an "eternity watch" Interesting. Posted by: torquewrench at November 10, 2015 10:16 AM (noWW6The thing is that after WWII anybody who came out against Social Security or other FDR programs would not have gone very far.WWII is really what is responsible for cementing the idea that Big Government (and Big Business and Big Labor) were all good - because in the 1950's all three flourished and so did America. (The Greatest Generation BTW, with all their virtues, did not see the US government or FDR's programs as evil - they grew up in the Depression and after that trauma and the horrors of WWII, they wanted some guaranteed security.) However, as Walter Russell Meade pointed out the Blue State model only worked well for a limited and unique period in history - when much of the rest of the world was flat on its back and we had little competition - and we were cranking out babies like crazy. Their angle (vs Apple) is that after two years or more, when your watch is obsolete, you can bring it back and they will replace the innards with classic Swiss mechanical guts and you will have an "eternity watch" Interesting. On almost any campus, you can find a classroom teaching about white people what 'Mein Kampf' taught about the Jews. We overpay these organizations to provide perpetual employment for people so mentally disturbed they spend every day stewing in their own grievance and hate, and teaching it to young people. And thus ensure the next generation of anti-Western leftists. Just. End. It. Remove the public money that lets them get away with these things without responsibility. Excellent Bond movie - great action set pieces, jaw-dropping visuals and sites (where the hell do they find all of these great places?), good story, though I'm a bit tired of everything some how tying back to Bond's past ala Batman, hot babes. NOT REALLY A SPOILER BUT IF YOU DON'T WANT ANYTHING EVEN HINTED AT- DO NOT READ!!!!!!!! I'm a bit meh on the ending itself but it provides a walk-away ending to the Bond story itself if Daniel Craig is truly out. But, given what Blofeld told Bond makes the ending highly unlikely, and more likely sets up a certain plot sequence for those familiar with the old Bond movies. Check it out. A great time at the movies. Posted by: naturalfake at November 10, 2015 11:25 AM (KUa85) 430

406 Nicest compliment I ever got, with pants on. I Scouted with a near-legendary scoutmaster who was a Marine sergeant at Khe Sanh. Winter campout, I slept outside with no tent, pan-fried backstrap in a GI mess kit, made rice and beans from staple state, you know, man stuff. When some later complained that they had barely survived their 24 hours in the woods, scoutmaster said, "Well, Stringer and me, see, we're the old breed..."
Stringer, that is something to be treasured. It is heartening that you, Jane D'oh's son, and the 'rons and 'ettes are trying to raise a generation that respect and carry on that legacy. That and the love of Christ keep me going lately. Posted by: Moki at November 10, 2015 11:30 AM (x303I) 443

Sure. Loser pays. If we had this as a tort reform, we would limit the suits that would be brought. It's why it's fought so hard against by the Lawyers(Democrats). And they could also stop the ability of lawyers to create a "class" and sue as a class which usually results in a bit payoff for the lawyers but practically nothing for the individuals in the class. and then there's the laws that allow someone to sue for the state. that's when a law or rule is broken and a private person is allowed to sue the defendant for damages in the name of the state. During Y2K, I signed up for a course to learn Cobol in Michigan. It was a course offered by a company, it cost $2000, no guarantee of employment but I followed up with some study at home courses, sent them a resume and they later hired me.
Anyways, they didn't take everyone for the course. They did have a test that they administered that was supposed to determine whether you had the skills to make a good programmer. I was the first one to ever get perfect on the test which surprised them. I'm kind of proud of that because half the people taking the test that day were India - Indian and I stereotypically assume, relatively smart... If you have VoIP, there are programs that will let you selectively forward calls, depending on the caller ID number (bogus or not). For example, I forward ALL phone calls coming from exchanges beginning with "1", because there are no such exchanges in the U.S. Where to forward them? A little Internet sleuthing (e.g., 800notes.com) will let you know who is behind many calls. A little more sleuthing will let you find a legitimate phone number for that outfit. Voila! how can libs be for unfettered immigration but against right to work laws?
Libs are idiots. All of them. They're too stupid to grasp what's going on, and merely parrot the received wisdom generated by the hard left. It's the leftists who are driving the bus, and from their perspective, this makes perfect sense. Bring in a shitload of uneducated Third World types who will be fertile ground for agitation in the second generation. Their presence will bump up black unemployment, which will make them fertile ground for agitation now. Pack colleges with people who have no business being there, and who will learn nothing of any value to anyone else, and will become bitter when they can't get jobs. More fertile ground for agitation. Do all this while protecting union jobs from the wetback onslaught, so the entire brunt of unemployment falls on blacks, and they keep union support and donations. Do younger, millenial chicks seriously dig the man-bun look? Cause I gotta tell you, most women I know would probably slap a guy sporting a man bun. Just for shits and giggles.

I hit the local coffee shop around 5:30 am which is filled with gardeners before they head off to work. The other day, I thought I would get drunk by all the ketones they were emitting. Posted by: Bruce With a Wang! at November 10, 2015 12:25 PM (iQIUe) 623
NEW YORK -- The Clinton "spin machine" appears to be behind a report claiming Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has overruled the finding of Intelligence Community Inspector General Charles McCullough that two Hillary Clinton emails sent on her private server contained highly classified information, investigative author Ed Klein told WND.
"It's not true that Director of National Intelligence Clapper has overruled Inspector General Charles McCullough," Klein said after a careful reading of news articles regarding the FBI's probe of Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while secretary of state. The FBI is investigating whether she violated the Espionage Act's subsection pertaining to "gross negligence" in the safekeeping of national defense information, a source familiar with the investigation told Fox News in October. ... It really doesn't matter if Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said it or not, if the material was classified at the time, there still is a crime. Frankly, I'm getting tired of all of the Hillary email stuff .. why can't she just go to jail like she is supposed to ? Posted by: undocumented at November 10, 2015 12:25 PM (e8kgV) 624

Obama's Just-Us department appealling the Fifth Circuit immigration decision to the Supremes.
DOJ says they're committed to deporting the worst offenders and not families who are raising American children. LOL. That must be why they keep releasing illegal alien murderers, rapists, kidnappers, etc., back into American neighborhoods. Lying a-holes. My experience, Jay, is that libs just don't think about consequences beyond the initial feels. Now, you may be more conspiracy minded, and it's hard to say there isn't a shadowy cabal out there, but I know the lefties I've met and know rarely think impassionately about what they "believe".

Posted by: TheQuietMan at November 10, 2015 12:23 PM ________ Liberals believe -- or at least claim to believe -- what they're taught to believe. It doesn't make sense; it doesn't have to. Twice, I tried to invent a liberal rule. One was to consider the term "Western" (as in the Old West in the U.S.) racist. My reasoning was that the Old So-Called West had Native Americans who went south to get there, Chinese who went east, Mexicans who went north, and white people who went west, and it's only called "the West" because we're using the white man's historical frame of reference. The other time was when a local high school, whose teams were the Redskins, considered a change for its nickname. When asked to opine, I said, "Redskins? What about the Blue Bombers down the road? Do we really want those children to self-identify as Bombers? In the wake of Littleton, is it a good idea to keep that name?" Blank stares and confusion both times. Not only are they incapable of (or perhaps forbidden from) original thought, they refrain from engaging with any original thoughts from others. though I worry what would happen to the committee Shelby chairs (Banking, Housing Urban Affairs). Ya, primarying a sitting Republican Senator is probably not the best way to get into politics. But he's got balls. Posted by: JohnJ at November 10, 2015 12:35 PM (TF/YA) 632
