Kinda Bullshit Story for Politco: RNC Aides Were Calling CNBC About The Small Amount of Speaking Time They Were Giving Jeb Bush, or, Maybe, They Weren't

I'm just going to throw this up and get another post ready to go.

Earlier Politico claimed that Sean Spicer and maybe others were calling CNBC to complain that Jeb wasn't getting to speak enough; then later, Politico walked it back to say Spicer and others were calling to complain about the speaking time afforded to candidates, generally.

Spicer denied the original story.

Politico has made a hash of this so I don't know if it was 1, bullshit from the get-go, or 2, true from the get-go, but reported contrary to the rules (that is, it was supposed to be off the record or something) so now they have to walk back a true story.

I have no idea.

Rinse the Penis will huff and puff to coincide with his "letter of disappointment", but in the end, he will deliver a case of KY-Jelly to NBC, kiss and make-up with the suits, and agree to almost anything without any measure to ensure NBC promises are kept.

It's business as usual for the RNC, but the obstacle may be the Trump-Carson teams that refuse to go-along to get-along, and the RNC may be forced to accept another alternative.

Trump has produced glittery Miss America and other events, and surely could manage and produce a republican debate. This could be a nightmare for the RNC, but is surely in the cards and possibly in the future.

I can't see that it would occur to them that the airline could block arbitrary sites, so I'm guessing it's the former. I think a lot of candidates are remembering 2011. Tim "I have No Charisma" Pawlenty dropped out in August 2011. By March 2012, we were down to Mitt!, 999, "I divorced my first wife while she was in Chemotherapy," some other forgettable people, and the Huckster.

101 The 'stablishment told us Jeb! was the Michael of the Bush family. No, he's Fredo, turns out. (Now, who does that mean W. was?)

102 >>> down hours before a doughy, dull, mustachio'ed 'Ramone Espinoza,' a mysterious figure from out of the West, announces his candidacy for President.

He'll be thrilled to hear about Hector Elizondo Camacho.

104 Yall be nice to Jeb he's a good boy who's just misunderstood and would also make a crappy president but who cares about that when we are so totally screwed anyway?

107 But it seems you only see him out there when there's an election. I have no idea what he does during the off-season.

Posted by: grammie winger, uff da at October 30, 2015 07:42 PM (dFi94)

Well, he's a lawyer and a former Senator, with lots of Washington connections

He is a consultant to Consol Energy and American Continental Group and is on the BOD of Universal Health Services. He is also a member of the Ethics and Public Policy Center think tank, and gets paid for being a columnist for different newspapers. He makes somewhere around $1.5 M a year according to papers he's filed in conjunction with his campaign.

None of these guys starve when they leave public life. Doesn't matter if they lose elections, resign, etc.

Watch for the big bowl of jello that Boehner lands in. I'm sure it was waiting before he resigned. He will rake in millions.

110 Running for POTUS is the Santorum family business. Seriously, what other source of income does he have to draw from?
Posted by: CozMark at October 30, 2015 07:45 PM (0bOZe)

See my post above. Santorum is a practicing lawyer and worked as a consultant to the energy industry and the health care industry, where he was on a board and received $350, 000 plus as a director. Think tank consultant, etc.

113 Sooooo what's the over/under on Kasich going third party? If you paid attention to his opening statement and took in his bizarre behavior, it seems patently obvious he was setting himself up to be perceived as the disgruntled republican. It's the GOPe's plan B for when Bush implodes (which he has).

I'd expect Kasich to pull a Murkowski as soon as the primary season ends. Bush can go third party because of his family's history. But, Liberal and disgruntled Kasich can pull off the "I don't fit in either party" nonsense.
