That was Rob M who lost his dog, not me. I was just offering my condolences.

I have a 14 year old and a 15 year old dog myself, and will soon be facing the same situation. I feel Rob M's pain. It's hard to let them go, even when you know it's the right thing for them.

I am so sorry to hear this. My friend and housemate had 3 over the years and although they weren't my dogs, I felt horrible when he had to say goodbye.

I've got two cats who just turned 9, and I can't even think about the prospect of saying goodbye to them. My wife's other cats lived to be 20, so here's hoping.
