12 At least the GOP gave up on their stupid ghoulish attempt to have a useless theater vote on September 11.

The world is worse off than it was in 2001. ISIS is growing stronger, Iran will be nuclear, Al Qaeda has strongholds in Libya, Afghanistan is under Taliban control. Israel will, as the Ayatollah said, probably be destroyed. How long can a tiny nation survive the hatred of a religion with a billion people, some of whom have nuclear weapons?

Our military meanwhile is smaller than at any point since World War II, and is now for drag queen pageants and homosexual self-actualization.

Most of the west is terrorized. Drawing Muhammed is considered racism, and people are unwilling to defend this basic expression of free speech. Muslim attacks are attributed to lone wolves, and the religion is praised in the wake of the attacks.

The western world is run by suicidal, masochistic cuckold voyeurs, eager to watch their countrymen be destroyed to cleanse them of the sin of being born into the best civilization.

Is there even a way forward? Demographics are against the west. In a few decades most of Europe and the US will be crippled by an aging population with no one to care for them, and hostile immigrants demanding care as well.

13 This is a melancholy day for me, because of (1) the obvious unforgettable horror of the event itself, but also (2) it dramatically accelerated government overreach and spying into all corners of our lives.

Remember a few years ago Blessed Leader tried to convert this into a Day of Service or some rot, to minimize the focus on Islamic terror? Is he still running with that offensive meme?

16 9/11 I was there. Never forget.

Less than a mile from the Pentagon. My across the street neighbor was on the plane. RIP Norma Khan.

Note that self-governed citizens kept one plane from hitting other people. Our formal and well-funded defenses failed that day, despite great efforts by individuals.

And one FAA manager, out of the larger decision loop but with foresight and courage, stopped other attacks by grounding all commercial air. Even the 911 Commission said the entire effort was so well done there needs to be no plan written.

The question is not so much demographics, but are we willing to enforce our borders. Israel and Hangary show it can be done, as long as you want to.

Also, demographic rates are plummeting for everyone, including Muslims both in the west and in their native lands.

29 Never forget.

Massachusetts has.

They began forgetting from the beginning, when their (I refuse, in this instance, to group myself with the rest of this godforsaken state) dimwitted dwarf of a governor lamented that 9/11 was caused by a "lack of understanding" and was not immediately run out of town on a rail.

They continued to forget when they twice deleriously elected a Hussein whogloryed in "my Muslim faith."

And they continue to forget today, as WBZ radio commemorates the day with an aren't-you-inspired? story about a 9/11 widow who spends her time trying to turn the day into a national "day of service" rather than speak the truth about the Islamist bastards who murdered her husband.

"Never forget," my ass.

"Massachusetts has."

The fine folk of the Commonwealth of MA welcomed in the likes of the Tsarnaevs and then were stunned when their generous hospitality, including benefit disbursements so large that Deval Patrick refused to release the figures to the public, was reciprocated by a horrific terror bombing of the Boston Marathon.

Lost in all of the subsequent lachrymose nonsense from the locals about "Bawston Stwong" was a simple truth observed by Iowahawk:

"The Boston bombings were state-sponsored terrorism. The state of Massachusetts."

In SJW science news:

A 1972 plaque on the Pioneer 10 spacecraft displayed a picture of a nude man and woman, hoping to educate our extraterrestrial friends about what humans look like.

But experts have now claimed the image is outdated and shows 'a man raising his hand in a very manly fashion' while the woman appears 'meek and submissive'.

Dr Jill Stuart, an expert in the 'politics of outer space' at the London School of Economics, called for more diversity in messages aimed at aliens. She pointed out the figures in the 1972 image were both white and said she was "uncomfortable with sending out any images or messages that include Western-dominated material."

Meanwhile, the groups who did this to us continue to hate and threaten and kill us. Heck, we even fund some of them now.

Everything listed by Bevel was done with the acquiescence of our "betters" in office. When we say "never forget" we should also remember that. Every day we gather here to inform each other of the lurking and creeping dangers our "betters in government" are allowing. That is good, but we have to remember that a lot of our fellow citizens are unaware of how far we have slid since 9-11. A lot of people were killed that day and even more in the subsequent wars following 9--11. Since we are alive, we owe it to them to keep fighting for freedom in any way possible. We can work to replace the people in government who have allowed America to slide, we can continue to try to wake up our neighbors, friends, and loved ones, and continue to put ourselves in a position to help. Knowledge is power. Forewarned is forearmed. Those sayings are true. God (good) is more powerful than evil. We might feel like "a voice in the wilderness" but we are needed voices and we will be heard. I am very grateful for you all!

They were going through the hard adjustments of getting back to their previous lives, and I was struck by how human they were. They had no idea that we would call the the greatest generation, because they were confused and scared and worried and all the things we are now. They felt that the war had been their job and their duty, but now they had to refund their lives. I wish I could explain my impressions better, but I was struck by this movie!
We have an obligation to all of them to not give up, and to, as Jerry Garcia said, to keep on keeping on. Let's roll, fellow travelers. We are needed.

And the Walker collapse in his must win state of Iowa continues:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walkers support in Iowa continues its free fall as Donald Trump and Ben Carson remain ahead of the Republican pack by double digits, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

Walker, the former front-runner, tumbles to 10th place in the GOP presidential pack just two months after taking the top spot in the universitys July poll. Then, he had 18 percent support, compared to just 3 in the new poll.

88 "no 'welfare' benefits to anyone who is a non-citizen"

That's the case already, though hugely honored in the breach.

The tough part for the USA is anchor baby birthright citizenship.

The kid is instantly eligible for welfare. And then mom gets it too even though she's illegal, because someone has to care for that newly minted U.S. citizen. So it opens up the whole alphabet soup of EBT, WIC, SNAP, TANF, Section 8 and what have you.

Then the mom becomes undeportable, and dad can file on "human rights" grounds not to be separated from his family, even if that "family" is a notional one which he never sees or supports.

Once the mother and father are established, the "family reunification" hustle begins, with the rest of the family from outside the USA petitioning to be brought in. I'm sure you will be shocked to learn that some of the people thus admitted aren't even related, just people who have forked over some cash and faked up some documents from the old country.

If the elders thus imported are old enough for Social Security and Medicare, they're not supposed to receive those benefits since they've not paid in. Again, a rule that's pretty much never enforced.

It's an inexorable hammering in of a wedge, and anchor babies are the tip.

In other 9-11 commemoration news, Avarice:

In Washington, some members of Congress plan to spend part of the anniversary discussing federal funding for the ground zero memorial. The House Natural Resources Committee has scheduled a hearing Friday on a proposal to provide up to $25 million a year for the plaza.

The memorial and underground museum together cost $60 million a year to run. The federal government contributed heavily to building the institution; leaders have tried unsuccessfully for years to get Washington to chip in for annual costs, as well.

The museum charges up to $24 per ticket, a price that initially sparked some controversy. Any federal funding could lead to expanded discounts for school and other groups, but there are no plans to lower the regular ticket price.

134 On the 5th anniversary of 9/11 I made myself watch some of the amateur YouTube videos of the day. Awful stuff. Desperate office workers trapped on an upper floor, stripped down to their underwear (because of the heat from the fires), hanging out the windows trying to get air, soot and tear-stained faces crying. Some were holding hand-written signs on cardboard and tablecloths, begging for help. Then there was the haunting audiotape of a guy named Kevin Cosgrove, calling 911 for probably the 10th time that day, asking why nobody was coming to help them. You can hear him trying to control the fear in his voice. When he is giving the operator the names of the other men trapped there with him, his voice cracks as he says they all have young children at home, and they're not ready to die and leave them yet. Then, at the end of the tape, you hear his blood-curdling scream as the tower collapses.

It's awful stuff, made even more awful by the realization of what we've done since that day. We've invited in even more jihadis (and even been paying them welfare, food stamps, etc.). We twice elected as president and C-in-C a man who says the Muslim call to prayer is the sweetest sound on earth. We've gone full-bore into PC madness, such that our government won't even say the words "Islamic terrorism" and uses stupid euphemisms like "workplace violence" instead. We've ignored nearly all the 911 Commission's recommendations. We've spent billions on a joke called TSA, which allows over 90% of weapons to get through their expert airport "screening" undetected.

On 9/11 anniversaries, I say a prayer for the victims and I also apologize to them for the way our nation failed them. And then I apologize in advance to the next U.S. Islamo-terror victims -- because we all know there will be more -- for the idiotic way we responded to 9/11 and ensured that there would one day be another, even more terrible Islamo-terror attack on them.

It took 14 hours, two failed votes and a day full of drama, but during the early hours of Friday, two Michigan lawmakers embroiled in a controversial sex and cover-up scandal were no longer members of the state's House of Representatives.

State Rep. Todd Courser resigned from his House seat at 3:12 a.m. Friday, and an hour later, state Rep. Cindy Gamrat was expelled, ending the scandal that has rocked the Michigan capital for the last month.

The scandal burst onto the public scene last month when audio recordings surfaced and revealed that Courser had asked his staff to send an anonymous, "false flag" email that he had written, saying he was addicted to drugs and pornography, and paid for sex with men outside a Lansing bar. His staff refused to participate in the attempt to make it appear that Courser was the victim of a smear campaign and to downplay the affair he was having with Gamrat.

147 Morning, Glories!

I didn't get up and check for Vic News or Drudge first thing in those days. We weren't newshounds, had no TV. It was all over by the time Milady and I were driving into town and heard the news on the radio.

At first they were talking about Rush being grounded at some airport. Huh? Then they talked about refineries being shut. That made my skin prickle. Then came the recap: "The World Trade Centers are gone."

I hadn't yet heard how, didn't know about the planes, Pennsylvania, or the Pentagon. We didn't know the whole horror story. But I knew who had done it because they'd said they would. First thing I did was curse the bastards for that.

We turned around, drove back home, and had a talk with the kids about "your Pearl Harbor." As far as changing the world forever, the comparison was apt. But it's not comparable insofar as it was less than four years from Pearl Harbor to Hiroshima. We won WW2.

Whatever I thought we would do in response, the current world situation -- John Kerry as SoS? Sodamn Hussein as President?? -- is certainly not what I imagined on 9/11.

Cool and light rain this morning. Sky's getting light here in the middle of the nation. Another day breaks.

God bless America. Again.

Heh, everything you needed to know was in that in tome. Birth stones. Photos of the Moon. Astrological symbols and meanings. Famous quotes. A list of the presidents.

"This nation is divided. Badly."

Not even really sure that the
Disunited States of America even qualifies as a nation any longer. There
are huge internal schisms being papered over with, appropriately
enough, paper money. The largest longest flood of such stuff in all of
human history. Eventually the paper will fray and tear. What then?

And then we see if our would-be masters can control Chaos and ride it into power like they think they can. Based on my understanding of history and their capabilities, my prediction is "fat chance!". They've grown desperate and impatient, and they overestimate themselves while not understanding the risks of what they've done.

Nah, can't study that. It's too cisnormative or something. Plus it's too long for twitter...

Or is that too harsh to say?

After 9-11 I truly thought that Afghanistan would be bombed. Even now, when we see parades of trucks being driven openly by ISIS I wonder why those are not bombed. The fact that Mecca was never bombed is when I began losing faith in our government betters. They could debate for years ( it seemed) on how to retaliate, yet this Iran crap does not get much more than a vote. And all of this immigration crap just gets a "tsk tsk" from our loyal opposition.

174 I went to work fourteen years ago, as did my daughter who worked in the Pentagon. It was a beautiful fall day with clear skies, very much like today. Then suddenly it turned into a dark horror because of islamic terrorist scum. Now, our fearless political leaders, the ones we have entrusted our America to, have not only failed to fight this creeping horror, they have embraced it, welcomed it to our shores, and as of yesterday joined in funding the same despotic regime that kindly provided IEDs that killed American troops and wants nuclear weapons. I can guarantee I won't forget this at any level.

FWIW, my family was fortunate in that my daughter escaped the Pentagon attack although she had walked through the impact corridor ten minutes before the plane hit.

My prayers go out to all who have suffered far worse than I from the religion of peace.

187 I had just finished the first ladies' Bible study of the fall, in Amman, Jordan. Over 80 women, many of them wives of Muslims, who had this as their only means of Christian worship. I got a call from the school that my kids were being sent home early, because of what had happened in New York and DC, and they were at home for the rest of the week, because of threats to the school. (American International School.)

The Jordanians all came to the Embassy, to offer condolences, and help. The Palestinians partied in the streets, the Israelis set up blood banks, and donated so that it could be sent to the States, to help with the trauma victims.

One of these things is not like the others.

Spot on. I'll never ever forget the jumpers, and the unusually clear evening sky since all the air traffic had been grounded. Tearing up or being on the verge of tears for hours at a time...

And to think that event resulted in so many of our patriots that enlisted and made the ultimate sacrifice in AF and Iraq.

Agree, there will be more, sadly. We haven't forgotten, but many of the people running our government have or didn't understand the significance of the event in the first place.

To just abruptly pull out of Iraq and squander that blood.

100,000 refugees from Syria???

Sadness and frequent seething... Best way I've found to deal with it is to pray for the victims and their families- and our country.
