What would another corporation have to deal with? Sexual harrassment? That's a civil matter and there are certain things that they have to do under state and federal statutes. That's alright, I get that.

This needs to be pushed back against with vim and vigor. I like Insty's idea to start suing anything that moves if you're falsely accused, beginning with the kollidge administration for impersonating officers of the court for bypassing the police.

Here is the problem with this silly mindset. If someone believes they were sexually assaulted or raped - go to the police. that is your venue. The prosecutor and court system will then determine if it was assault/rape and dole out appropriate punishments.
Even the youngest college freshman knows that.
Colleges, meanwhile, want to keep their rape/sexual assault statistics down, so are going to do everything in their power to convince alleged victims not to make any report to the police (and remember, these college administrators are almost all exclusively far-leftists).
Yes, some college women are too ignorant to realize that and are convinced not to make claims for valid assaults. That is troublesome, but also is partly their own responsibility for being so ignorant.
The college itself should not be adjudicating these things in any way. If something is a crime - such as rape/sexual assault - let the appropriate authorities handle it. If there is a conviction, then expel that student. If an acquittal, then you should respect that.
Instead, while colleges want to bury any true rape/assaults so as to lower their own statistics, they want to criminalize non-assault/non-rape conduct and punish men so that they can be seen to "do something".
So, the colleges are bad actors from every angle. Trying to keep true victims quiet for fear of harming the college's reputation, and criminalizing/punishing male students for non-criminal conduct in order to burnish their image as "rape warriors".
It's a sad state of affairs.

I've had it explained to me, but still don't quite understand it. I think it has to do with the Census questions, and given that "hispanic" is not a race, but a self-identified ethnicity, there are differences within the groups of individuals for whom that self-identity occurs.
So there can be "African-American" hispanics, there can be "Native-American" hispanics, and of course, Caucasian hispanics.

Perhaps you missed the DOJ sending letters to all colleges/universities and telling them that if they did not institute these unfair tribunals that they would be forced out of business by the federal government?
That to me is the main story. Yeah the schools were screwing this up but some weren't. Until the DOJ stepped in and told them they had to and told them the rules to use which require that they use a lesser standard of guilt and that they do not have to apply any standard of presumption of innocence or confronting their accuser or legal representation or presenting witnesses or cross examination of the accusers witnesses or any of the rights one would expect in a legal setting because they are claiming that it is not a legal setting and that the defendant's life and liberty is not at risk therefore the lesser standards can apply.
Which is patently ridiculous.

Fortunately, rape accusations are probably quite a lot less common there than they are elsewhere. And mentioning that you got drunk (which seems to be the common enabler in the vast majority of these cases) before you got raped means that you're confessing to a violation of the university's honor code. Students sign an honor code before attending that commits them to not drink, and to not engage in unmarried sex. So while both no doubt still happen, there's a lot less of it. And students aren't exactly going to admit on a whim that they were involved in either activity...

Actually they are. Anyone claiming descent from Spain is Hispanic. Portuguese are not considered Hispanic. However, there is no test to determine one's Hispanicness and therefore by Fed rule if you claim to be Hispanic, then you are legally considered Hispanic. So go get your set aside.

Title IX COMPELLS universities to have policies about various sorts of speech "crtimes", association "crimes" and sexual/behavioral "crimes" that are civil actions imposed on college students, that are outside the scope of criminal law, controlled by real cops and courts.
It is truly Orwellian, and this is not just hyperbole. Once you become part of the "campus community", you put yourself at the mercy of this sort of arbitrary government "civil" procedure, imposed (on purpose) by Title IX and the Dept of Education.
This is on purpose because the Left has captured the Academy, and this is a template to be imposed on larger society, at some indeterminate time in the future.
All our quaint notions of legal procedure, due process and an open trial are to be discarded. And this is how some law schools are being used to educate future lawyers.
