Post-turkey question

Now you've all had your fill of turkey and cranberry sauce...

Does anyone know if MT allows for delayed postings? For example, I write a post but only Publish it tomorrow at 9am? Anyone? It would be handy for those times I know I'm going away.

1 Typepad does, but with MT, while you can date your post for the future it still publishes it right away--just with the future date.

3 Getting a volunteer to post them at the appropriate time? That's all I came up with.

4 Jennifer's suggestion is probably the best. Write up the post and make sure the status is Draft. Change the time to what you want it to be when it's posted. That way your volunteer only has to change the post status to Publish and everything else is all set.

7 Simon, I found two solutions to this query:

First one Pixy needs to do something to the set up and then issue instructions on how to perform the task. It is HERE

Second one is a Scripty Godess thingy and it looks like anyone can do this. It is HERE

9 an update on the Scripty Goddess script. There seemed to be a bug when I installed. See if someone else can make it work on your blog. It's pretty simple... cut and paster a couple of lines of code, but the must be inserted at the proper place.

It looks like Trickle would ba an answer for everybody though, after reading the instructions.

10 Scripty Goddess Script Update II: The script is for PHP index templates only. Sorry it wasn't stated anywhere that I could see in the install instructions.

It looks like the ball falls back to Pixy to install Trickle for us. It looks pretty easy for us to do onour end. Go read the instructions to see how to do it.
