Screw the spammers

Google has launched an anti-spammer initiative with the "nofollow" anchor tag reference. MT details here. Can we implement this wonderful little doohicky here in Munuviana?

1 But shouldn't legitimate commenters get the Google boost?

2 The Google boost is minimal. Spammers get a big boost because they are putting thousands and thousands of links out.

In any case though, how many people are really posting links in other folks comments? I get a decent number of comments but very very few have hyperlinks in them. It might be different for me because I'm not a poli or mil blogger I guess.

3 Mmm. If they're doing what I think they're doing, it would require a software patch. When it comes out, I'll apply it.

4 Looks like the plug-in is already available for MT3 and MT2.661.
