Blog Tweek Testing

Is there a way to test tweek changes to my blog without saving and rebuilding everytime? I know in blog*spot, there was a preview feature to use before accepting changes. Also, how come a design change only works for a day then starts screwing up? I take out some of the weird scripts that may be causing it to mess up, but still not effective and had to change back to an earlier design index. Thanks for the help?

2 Initially, I had my blog set up with two columns and no "gutter" or margin in between them. I changed the margins and main column width% and put in a gutter and it worked fine for half a day. Then it started throwing the sidebar down at the bottom of all the posts for some reason.

Right now I have the design back with the gutter in it and a smaller main column width%. I want to see if it going to do the same thing again tomorrow. Before though all the margins and gutter were balanced, now they are not balanced as you can tell.

3 It doesn't work in Mozilla, by the way. In fact, it's pretty much illegible.

6 Are the sidebars floating elements? Those can get messed up based on the content that's in the main element they are defined in. If you don't have enough real estate for a fixed item like a graphic or a table with defined size plus the sidebar either the content won't start until after the sidebar or the sidebar will get pushed down below that fixed size item.

7 Mister Green looks fine for me in Mozilla. I'm running version 1.5.

I just brought it up in IE - the two look almost identical.

8 I guess it's my referers script that's causing the problems. I took it out and it works again. But why didn't it do that last night and earlier this am when I pulled the site?

Jim - Thanks for the info. (I'll file that away for future reference to help some other dumbass like me in the future.) My columns are set up as percentages of width. I know how to set up for fixed width by setting the pixel width, but how do you establish and absolute fixed position.

I cannot seem to find anything in the MT on-line user manual to accomplish some of these things. Is there another on-line resource someone can point me to?
