MuNu Pull Down Additions

New entries coded for the pull down menu

<option value="http://ace.mu.nu/">Ace of Spades HQ</option>
<option value="http://publicola.mu.nu/">Publicola</option>
<option value="http://auterriffic.mu.nu/">Auterriffic</option>
<option value="http://desertraspberry.mu.nu/">Desert Raspberry</option>

UPDATE: The new entries have also been added to the full script - see Madfish Willies list of tech stuff in the side bar. In the future, I will paste new sites there as I update my own template.

UPDATE:The spelling of Auterriffic has been corrected here and in the full script.

1 YAY! I'm not last on the list anymore!

2 Mr Macklin: Just thinking out loud here... since there is a link on the sidebar pointing to your original script, would it be too much of a problem for you to update that particular post with these additions so when someone copies it over they have a complete list... or would it be better if the data was in the form of a javascript like the other blogrolls, so when there are updates to the main script, it updates everyone's links... or is that even possible... or should I just shut up and go away?

4 First things first

STOP CALLING ME MR. I'm only 40 on the outside!!!!

I have no problem pasting new sites into the original post. I thought this would be easier for anyone who just wanted to copy the new ones. But I see your point that now the original post is out of date. I will add these there as well.

6 Well, first, I have no idea what you're talking about. But, I do notice that there are two different spellings for Auterrific. I really am hoping to find a designer for my site soon. If not, I will have no choice but to move it over as it is, and will need a lot of help with that.

7 Linda: I can help you move your site, but I don't have any free time till Wednesday night. In the meantime, poke around, see where everything is, and make a couple of posts. I'll drop you an e-mail when I'm ready to start.

8 I have a question due to the pulldown list being a teeny bit wider than my sidebar: what code can I add to shrink the menu a wee bit? I don't want to widen my sidebar or shrink my blog body. Yes, it's picky, but what can you do? Works pretty well, though, so thanks.

Posted by: physics geek @ at April 21, 2004 09:11 PM

9 I think the width is driven by the site names. I haven't had much success forcing any formatting onto the text.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is adding formatting directly into each reference.

A simpler approach might be to do some editing of some of the longer site names until the width comes down to where you want it.

10 Thanks. That's what I had figured out but I was hoping the more web savvy could offer a different solution. I might try fooling around with it and report back if I find an alternative solution.
