Blog Entry Times

Hi. Thought I'd pop over here with what could well be a truly idiotic question: how are the default times set for our blog entries? Is there a way I can use MTto change the posting times on my individual blog (Little Miss Attila) to correlate with Pacific Standard Time in the U.S.?

Let me know. Thanks!

1 On the left side is a button called Weblog Config. Click that and at the bottom is a pulldown menu where you set the time zone.

2 Uh, that's in "edit" mode, when you log in. That left column is the one with the buttons for adding entries and playing with the templates. Weblog config is a little farther down that list.

3 Found it. And now the time is right--but I'm still a day off! (For instance, my entry from today is listed under tomorrow's date.)

4 Thanks, I've been wondering about that since I got here.

5 Hey, me too! I didn't even notice that part. How do we correct the day?

6 Edit the post--on the bottom is a date and time, just change it to whatever you want or what's correct, then publish again. Easy peasy!

7 But!!! Before you can change the time, you need to click on "customize the display of this page", put the radio button into the custom field, and then check the box that says editable authored on date! Then save, of course...You can check all of them if you want, or play with a few at a time, until your composition page looks like what you want it to (I like the preview and save buttons at the top of my posts for example, and I don't usually keep the extended entry box there, I turn it on as needed). Hope that's clearer!!

8 Susie: You are SO cool!!! I do the same thing with my [PREVIEW] / [SAVE] buttons so I don't have to scroll down the page just to punch them.

Pixy: I read somewhere, probably over at the MT Support Forum, that you can set the width of the entry boxes... I wonder if it would be possible to extend the boxes to where they will fill the screen in 800x600 resolution... and would that be a group thing since it is set in the configuration file or do each of the blogs have their own configuration files? Just wondering out loud...

9 MW - Yeah, that would be nice. I hate the poky little boxes! (Need an angry smily here - grrr!!!)

I'll take a look.

10 If I had my choice, the entry box and the sidebar together would = my full screen size, which is 800x600.
