*tiny little plea for chivalry*

A certain someone recently brought to my attention that now that the comment spam epidemic of early '05 is now history, that my preview-before-commenting booby trap can go away. I'm cool with that.

Now, could some kind soul share with me what code it was that I changed in the first place to get it to be all wonky and annoying? Specifically, what should I change on which template? I have pop-up comments...I think for now I'd like to keep 'em. I don't have the mental fortitude to be tinkering alone tonight...I left my mad scientist jacket at work.

1 It would be in the Comment Listing Template. Don't know what you put into the code to make it default to preview, but I'll try to find the original template code for you tomorrow afternoon.

8 Tiffany, were you forcing them to review the comment and then click again to post it? That's a fairly nice way to stop spam. If you were, maybe someone could write a Thingy on how to do it?

Unfortunately I don't remember where it came from either. All it amounted to was removing the submit button from the comment form. The only button was to preview then, and the preview comment form did have a submit button.
