Now what

You know when you go buy something from IKEA and you get home and say I can do this because it looks easy and the instructions are so simple but it turns out they're not so simple because the screw that goes into that other bit doesn't fit and you need to drill the wall but you don't have the right bits either and now it's all out of the packaging and spread out over the floor and you don't know what goes where and you've wasted your entire afternoon?

Cpanel is a little like that.

There's a question coming: I've set up a subdomain in Cpanel. For example let's say I've called it aboutme.simonworld.mu.nu. So how do I now put content onto it??? Format it? Do anything to it?

I actually managed to fit the IKEA mirror on the wall in the end.

2 Subdomains don't work right now because of the way I have MuNu's DNS set up. Well, they work for some people, but not others.

I will fix this in the next couple of days.

3 As for the other questions: If you create a subdomain of wombat.simonworld.mu.nu, CPanel will create a subdirectory called wombat under your main web directory. Anything you put there will appear (once I get things fixed) at wombat.simonworld.mu.nu. (And also at simonworld.mu.nu/wombat.)

You can use ftp (use your CPanel login/password) to put files there.

6 Pixy that's great but what does it mean to FTP to the new site. What if I want to put (effectively) another blog page on the simonworld.mu.nu/wombat site? Do I need to load up MT or something? That's where I'm confused - how to get content onto the site once it's created.

18 Don't use the phengometer, that is antique. Use six flux capacitors in series with the ithecon hypbrid resonator. But verify the units operation first before install the unit into the interocitor. If you fail to do this the entire unit will work iradically and exitor will not be on the screen , but instead the borg will track down your signal. I know, I am part of the colective due to making this mistake. The buzz word is "phase locked loop". With out it Dr. Morbius will use the wifi into the Robie the robbot rotating soap bubble spoon on the side of his head and it does rotate, sweeping the entire universe for extraneous signals. SO what ever you do check the unit independently before installing, contact ryberg electronic, Genuine replacement parts division.
