Problems

I and my readers have had several problems with my blog. Repeatedly comments, trackbacks and uploads do not work. Individuals who have left comments before are unable to sometimes and even today when attempting to get the t/b url I was told 'forbidden-404'. With uploads I often receive a 'bad gateway' error message. Everything in the template is correct and all of the weblong configurations are as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

1 I had a trackback problem the other day. I couldn't ping Jen and Harvey for their birthday posts. No idea what was wrong - just got the generic "The pooch has been screwed. Check the log." message but couldn't open the log.

2 The log has got too big again. I'll clear it out.

The usual problem for pings is that they've been automatically closed due to incoming spam. I've reduced the amount of time they stay closed, and we'll see how that works.

Unfortunately, our grand plan to simply stop trackbacks on old posts doesn't work, because MT apparently takes no notice of that setting. I'll see if I can fix that this weekend.

4 I'm not sure what the "bad gateway" message is about, though. I upload stuff all the time and I've never seen that one.

5 Yes I will email you the message the next time it happens. It will go through periods of it's work and then it doesn't. It's not one day it's fine and the next it's not.

Also, the Remember Me for comments often doesn't work for people using IE. Any suggestions?
