When I run the validation on nomayo.mu.nu I get a mere 331 errors not the 1103 for this page!

4 Hey Stephen, I don't know if I'd believe that validation page anyway--I ran PP through, and tried to fix one of the "errors" it found, and it screwed up my blog. I unfixed it.

5 I disregarded it pretty quickly. Most of the errors had to do with open and close tags where there were multiple paragraphs in a blockquote.

Beyond that there were a couple of things about the pull down menu script that I wasn't close to understanding.

6 I HATE the paragraphs in blockquotes thing in XHTML. It sucks. It sucks neutron stars through carbon nanotubes, that's how much it sucks.

7 So what's the solution?

Enclose each paragraph of quoted text in separate blockquote tags?

A royal pain in the posterior but doable.

8 But if you have a stylesheet that puts boxes around your blockquotes, that will break your layout.

XHTML is retarded.

OK. So I cleaned up some of the multiple paragraphs in a blockquotes. Lucky for me I don't have boxes on quotes.


I put up a really small simple post announcing the petition going on line. An what do you know, the tags worked. the post is listed in all four groups.

And what have I gotten for the effort. Precisely nothing. Not one single solitary hit.
