I don't know how long this connection will hold up, but I really wanted to try and get SOMETHING up here....it looks so darned bleak and barren w/o any posts up, and my co-authors are all engaged in some time consuming activities that can't be put off, so they couldn't post anything lately.
I'm still staying at my ex's place, it's just more conducive to faster healing than home is at the moment, and speaking of healing, I'm rather pleased with my progress so far. I am up to walking almost half a mile day now (albeit in stages, not continious), and I am tapering off of the oxycodein tabs...and best (and hardest) of all, it's been 55 days nicotine free. I dread the confrontation that will occur when I go home and institute a "no smoking in the house or car" policy. I find it wrong to impose restrictions on anothers right to engage in a legal activity and it makes me feel like a real hypocrit to impose such sanctions, but having said that, I KNOW two things; 1), I will be unable to continue my abstinence if I am exposed to such a great extant of smoke as presently exists, and 2), if I resume smoking, I will be throwing away this one last chance that all of the dedicated medical professionals have given me. As it is, they estimate that I've been given another 5 good years, and I don't want to waste any of them, or shorten that estimate by my own stupidity. I just hope that I can get the others in the household to make what I know is a difficult (and somewhat selfish on my part) sacrifice towards that end. Only time will tell. I won't say I'll never smoke again; I am a nicotine addict. All I can say is "I won't smoke today". I can only pray that it will get easier with time.
On the family front, we have received some difficult news this week; it seems that my ex wife will require surgury to repair tears of the rotater cuffs of both shoulders, and she's scheduled to have the right shoulder surgury done Nov. 28.; and we learned just yesterday that my ex-mother in law will need cardiac surgury to repair a leaking aortic valve....don't know when she will go in to have it done, but it will have to be soon, by all accounts. At her age (no, I WON'T tell it G'ma ) such surgury is pretty problematic, I hope know that I can count on all of you to give us your continued support; you can not conceive of how much it has meant to me and all of my family.
On a much brighter note, LC Beth*A is making the move from San Diego to Indianapolis at the beginning of November, so we can enjoy the pleasure of her company physically, as well as through E-Mail and Tx. (I'm sorry if I'm letting the cat out of the bag, Beth, but I just can't keep a secret like this..) Assuming that the Medicos give me clearence to resume driving and flying( and most likely even if they don't!) at my first post op check-up, I'm going to fly to San Diego and assist her in driving her worldly goods back to her new home here in Indiana. Hopefully, she'll find the time to start putting some of her patented "good horse-sense posts" up here on a semi-regular basis too.
Time to go for my theraputic walk/exercises, talk to you all soon.

Delfts -- Welbutrin (aka Zyban) is a wonder drug for ex-smokers. My wife has been on it since Christmas and she hasn't had a smoke -- or even wanted to -- since she quit cold turkey on New Year's Day. See if your doctor will prescribe it, but make sure your insurance will pay for it if it's prescribed for smoking cessation. Sally's didn't. It's a mild antidepressant, so you may have to have the doctor diagnose depression and prescribe it for that in order for insurance to pay for it.
Also -- if you want content to stay on the page indefinitely, look in the main index template for the tag
<MTEntries>
if you change that to
<MTEntries lastn="10">
then the last 10 entries will always stay on the page, regardless of how many days you've got set to display in the blog preferences.
Best wishes for your continued improvement!

Y'know, whenever I quit smoking (done it plenny o'times), I always found that the "I won't smoke today" approach made it a daily struggle that it ended up not having to be. I switched to "I am a non-smoker" and that made a great difference. You just quit cold turkey, badda boom, that's it; non-smoker.
Good luck with everything and everything else. Excelsior!

I haven't said much, but I've been following your progress here. I'm glad that things are going in the right direction.
On rotator cuffs, I tore mine pretty badly a few years ago. In considering surgery, the doctor asked what I did for a living and my age. When I told him, and he scoffed, "We're not going to do surgery on you." I then asked if that is the same as saying the "We're not putting any more money into this old car."?

Hey D Man! It's so good to hear you up again here and on the Rott! Been off cigs now for over 5 years (smoked for 32), it DOES get better after a bit. Tuny is absolutely right. Non-smoker Delfts is the new definition.
Best of luck and don't over exert yourself in San Diego.

As always it's good to here from you, congrats on the non smoking front. Don't backslide, I just celebrated 20 years without the Monkee on my back. About the 5 years, a close friend was given 3 to 5 years after his second quadruple bypass 20 years ago, he's doing well, takes his medications and spends as much time as possible, hunting, fishing and woodworking.I wish you the same successes.

Delfts I am so proud of you I cannot even express how proud I am. Just know it is BIG time and HUGE how my heart is bursting with pride.
When people love each other they help do whatever they have to do to get that person well and stay healthy as much as possible. I am all for your not smoking ever again. I know you can do it too and I applaud you!!!
I had a friend too that was given a certain amount of years and guess what. He was told 3 at the most and it has been 15 since then. Yes he did exactly what he had to do but it has been worth it.
It is so great to see you posting again too.
A big ole hug for you!!

It's great to see you back. Sounds like you've made it through the really rough part and are going to give your best shot at this chance.
As far as curtailing your families smoking in your house, hell I went 18+ years not smoking in mine. With the conception of my son to today I have smoked on the front porch. My feelings were, even though it's my house, I knew smoking wasn't good for you, so I wasn't going to force my kid to breath it.
Of course, living in So. California means I only have to deal with inclement weather (temp below 65) for a few weeks a year.
Hoping things go well for the others with their surgeries.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

But wanna input that you have a very nice internet site , I enjoy the layout it actually stands out.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
107
I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
108

We have all observed them. The huge guys at the gym, lifting huge stacks associated with plates and grunting and also sweating like their head is about to explode. Their arms are busting out of their shirts and their legs look like they belong to the horse-a muscular horse. Who would like to look like that? This is one of the main reasons that many people, although they want to lost weight and appear great, refuse to lift weights. They are scared that picking up the heavy iron will turn them into hulking behemoths which can't put their hands down by their side. Nothing could be further through the truth.
Lifting weights is not going to turn you into the bodybuilder overnight. Getting the type of muscle you see upon those big boys within the gym takes years (10-15) associated with work, incredibly long workout routines, and sometimes, a little -help- from the not so natural source-if you get my drift. For most of us, adding weight training into our exercise program will do exactly everything we want it to. Weight training will assist in your weight loss, get in shape, and look better at the beach. You see, for every ounce of muscle you build, your body will speed up its own internal fat loss process. The more muscle Ab Machines you build, the more fat you had been burn. Now, muscle DOES weigh a lot more than fat, but don't let that scare you. I mean, what do you really care about, how much you bodyweight, or what you seem like with your shirt away? That is the actual test if improving your physique is high on your priority list. Most of us just want to watch the scales and find out the pounds come flowing off, but when you are regularly training with weights, this oftentimes does certainly not happen. As you are reducing weight, you are building muscle mass, so your weight may stay exactly the same, but your body might look drastically different. Your own clothes will fit better, the people at the office will begin to look at your differently and when beach time comes, you will be the first to grab off your shirt!
So, how do you get started with a good weight training course? The last thing you should do is hit the gym and begin blasting out arm curls with virtually no idea of what you do. Weight training is serious business and can be quite dangerous. One wrong move and you also could wind up lying during sex for 6 months watching your body slip into worse shape than before you decide to started. A solid rule of thumb when beginning to work together with weights is to partner up with someone who knows the actual are doing. This is actually a friend who has lots of experience or better yet, a personal trainer. A qualified personal trainer can walk you through a step by step process of building a highly effective weight training program that may help you to reach your goals while avoiding injury along the way.
So the next time you consider lifting weights, you may not conjure a vision of the well oiled massive figure posing in tiny trunks; you may see yourself, ripped, in shape, and looking fantastic because of your weight training system.

Amazing blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I'm planning to start my own blog soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely confused .. Any tips? Thank you!

Good day! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!

I am always sating hotels and the difference in quality and customer service still amazes me. I have done a lot of travelling through business and pleasure and the difference to me between a nice stay and a great stay is welcoming staff. There is nothing worse than checking into a hotel to find that the staff can't even really be bothered to servce you and show you too your room. I have also stayed at hotels where items of my personal belongings have gone missing after the maids have gone through the place.

Your site is fine. I just want to comment on the design. Its too loud. Its doing way too much and it takes away from what youve got to say –wch I think is really important. I don’t know if you didnt think that your words could hold everyones attention, but you were wrong. http://www.bingogratis.com.br
