Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Incompetent, Uneducated Boob and Socialist Nithiya Raman Has been Elected the Final Mayor of the City Formerly Known as Los AngelesDemocratic socialist Nithya Raman will defeat incumbent Karen Bass in the Los Angeles mayor's race, CNN's Decision Desk projects. Raman, a city councilmember, overtook Republican Spencer Pratt in June's nonpartisan primary to set up what was arguably a tougher race for Bass, a Democratic former congresswoman. With Raman's victory, the nation's two largest cities -- New York and Los Angeles -- will be led by democratic socialists next year. Raman has vowed to cut street homelessness in half before Los Angeles hosts the 2028 Olympics.Um, she already promised to do that. Homelessness exploded. Joel Pollak: Nithya Raman's victory means four years of destructive chaos -- and her socialist revolution will leave LA in ruinsShe worked in India during her 20s and 30s. She is a foreign carpetbagger. Raman was on nobody's radar when she declared her candidacy -- after she had already endorsed incumbent mayor Karen Bass. She had almost no support from organized labor, which holds many levers of power. One union leader called Raman a "political opportunist." Well, she certainly made the most of her opportunity. She was carried to victory by a nationwide "blue wave" -- but also by a "red" rebellion against the Democratic Party establishment. With Raman's victory, socialists will control the two largest and most important cities in America. ... It's likely that Raman will be seen as a weak mayor. There could be chaos at City Hall. We could see members of the City Council stepping forward to flex their muscle. Special interest groups, city agencies, and big businesses could start jockeying for position. But it's also possible that the center of power could shift -- from City Hall to the politburo or "Steering Committee" of the local Democratic Socialists of America chapter, which is largely an unknown entity. ... One thing is clear: Karen Bass has been held accountable for her failures in dealing with the wildfires and homelessness.Adam Carolla, a lifelong resident of LA, has been reporting on Nitwit Nithiya for years. There is an empidemic of street thieves stole expensive catalytic converters from cars -- with a repair costing thousands of dollars -- and actually murdering several car owners who came out to stop them. She did not call for a crackdown on thieves, which would be Racist. Nor did she call for increased prison time, which would be Regressive. She called for the punishment of car companies for not putting expensive car components inside of steel safe-like enclosures. Some races are Designated Victims, which means Designated Heroes. Other races -- or, mostly one race -- are Designated Villains. Any crime committed by the Designated Victims must be re-cast so that the Designated Villains are the Real Criminals Here. This was why it was important to steal the primary.

Raman moved to LA in 2013, immediately put together an organization to deal with homelessness, got tax payer money, wasted it as homlessness got worse, got on the city council, got more money to deal with homelessness, it was an abject failure as homeless encampments now stretch for miles, she somehow parlayed that record of failure into city hall, where she will have access to even more money, to fail at an even grander level.

The Blade's comments:
1. How is this dangerously incompetent DEI commie gonna be any worse than the current dangerously incompetent DEI commie (Karen Bass)? LA traded one radical retard for another radical retard. 2. I find it curious that in a race that pitted a (fairly well entrenched) Democrap incumbent against a mostly no-name Democrap challenger, the challenger won. I'd need to know the outcome of more of these types of races (where there?) to test my theory, but my theory is this: Most voters in the entire country were pissed about whatever they were pissed about, and took out their anger on the incumbents, including Democrap versus Democrap. CNN summed it up with, "Raman, a city councilmember, overtook Republican Spencer Pratt in June’s nonpartisan primary to set up what was arguably a tougher race for Bass, a Democratic former congresswoman. With Raman’s victory, the nation’s two largest cities — New York and Los Angeles — will be led by democratic socialists next year. Raman has vowed to cut street homelessness in half before Los Angeles hosts the 2028." Well played. So that's what it took to get her there, and that's the promise she needs to fulfill to keep her there. Ha, ha, ha! I was in LA this summer. The nice parts are still nice. A decent home still costs $3M in those nice parts of town. Restaurants were packed, as were stores. I really didn’t see much homelessness, since most of it is in the slum area of the city.
The “California is dead” stuff exaggerated a lot. Much how the msm would like you to believe everyone is about to go bankrupt over $4 gas. Posted by: Sandy Cocazio Ortez at November 05, 2026 02:35 PM (VYGAQ) __________ This. The "hollywood" part of LA is pretty nasty. It's basically a ghetto with some grimy faded hollywood glamour. Nobody will be surprised that nobody with any money lives there, and it's overrun with tourists who also don't live there. Once you're outside of hollywood, it gets much better, and when you get into the hills (where all the rich people live) it's beautiful. Same as San Francisco. Was there last year for a race event at Sonoma raceway. Flew into SF and rented a car to drive to Sonoma. Once you're out of the "deep" parts of the city, it gets much nicer. Sonoma is beautiful. Yes the key here is to look at a geographical spot and because we are emotionally attached to "Los Angeles" on a map say "this this spot needs a blank check!" Sure, we could focus on fostering a working broad spectrum economy serviced by good schools teaching all phases of productive human endeavor, exploiting California's plentiful natural resources including abundant oil ashore and offshore, extracting the lithium from the Salton sea basin and as a byproduct cleaning up a superfund site and trying to reclaim the ship building and manufacturing capacity we shed by the late 80s let alone the early 2000s......but no what we really need is more porn studios and weed shops. 'Unhoused'
Political correctness run amok. How is the word "Homeless" any more, or less, offensive than the stupid sounding "Unhoused"? Because it's another communist word takeover. "Homeless" intimates that the person is without a home, and more than likely it's their own fault. "Unhoused" intimates, that it's mine, yours, and everybody's fault these people are on the street, because society is unjust and unfair, and housing is a human right being denied to the vulnerable who have no responsibility for their situation in life. Avoidance of responsibility is the the chief modus operandi of leftism. Which is why everybody who brings up responsibility is a right-wing nut-job, racist, sexist, fascist. Gov. Gavin Newsom dropped a bombshell move on Thursday to commute all 548 death row inmates in California. In a letter to Californians, Newsom said that he understood that victims are angry at the horrendousness of the inmate’s crimes. “But as Governor, I have concluded the state cannot morally kill them,” he wrote. “We can now let these offenders die in obscurity while we forever remember and honor their victims.” “I take this action because I firmly believe that state-sanctioned killing is incompatible with California’s values, undermines the foundations of our legal system, and diminishes each of us,” Newsom explained. “I know we cannot execute people in our imperfect legal system and remain true to our core values, first among them justice and human decency.” Posted by: beckster at November 05, 2026 03:01 PM (kX27y) 217

Remember how Seattle and Portland were on fire every night during the blm days?
It was like 2 blocks in both cities. The rest of the cities were not affected. That’s what LA is as well. More than 2 blocks but there are certain really shitty areas. Like you don’t go there ever for any reason. It’s a small portion of the city itself that is home to 10 million people. Bit that’s not the city as a whole not even close. Yet that’s the vision many people have of LA. Posted by: Sandy Cocazio Ortez at November 05, 2026 03:07 PM (VYGAQ) 251

204 The left thinks everyone in the south is a toothless cousin fucking retard.
The right’s version is California as a place where homeless gangs terrorize citizens on an hourly basis. Posted by: Sandy Cocazio Ortez at November 05, 2026 02:58 PM (VYGAQ) California has been on the news for thirty years in a downhill slide to a one-party socialist state with large cities with gang and crime problems. It's an overcrowded, overly expensive state to live in with a government that seems to determined to bleed it dry while running it into the ground at full speed. No place is perfect, especially the south, but the scale of problems that the West Coast faces from the socialist takeover is a much more concerning affair to those of us watching it happen from afar, hoping to God it isn't coming here next. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, though, because we feel the same way about the Northeast, Midwest, Canada, and most of Europe. Posted by: SpeakingOf at November 05, 2026 03:09 PM (6ydKt) 263

Ramalamadingdong winning over Karen Billy Bass is not a surprise. Not after Mamdami vs Cuomo. New Yorkers voted out the mayor that sent their grannies back into Covid infected nursing homes to die. So now, LA voters voted out the mayor that burned up the palisades and let their neighbors die. Better the unknown devil that might actually care, than the one you already doesn't. And yes, if bass hadn't recruited Ramalamadingdong, she could have pulled off a ballot steal and ousted Pratt. Her loss. Posted by: LizLem at November 05, 2026 03:04 PM (Toos7) ____________ And they fucked Pratt. Totally stole the election from him. The votes received in Texas for the Democrats in this last off-year election rivaled the count from the 2020 Presidential election, and for the same reason. As for the vote in Georgia, as long as we use the voting machines Kemp forced on the state (name starts with a “D” ), we’ll never have a free and fair election. Those machines trace their ancestry back to Venezuela, and were designed to allow plausible cheating for whoever controlled them. It’s all fake and gay.
