In a resurfaced clip shared on social media this week, Cliff Connolly, a member of the steering committee of the far-left Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), emphasized the DSA’s “hatred” of the Constitution. The DSA may quadruple its presence in the House of Representatives and potentially force concessions from Hakeem Jeffries in any bid for Speaker following the midterms. . . Replacing the Constitution and the Presidency, Abolishing the Senate and Expanding the House, Ranked-Choice Voting and Multiparty Politics, Voting Rights for Noncitizens, Ending the Electoral College, Subordinating the Judiciary. (Meh they already control it- jjs), D.C. Statehood, Publicly-Financed Elections.I can hear some of you groaning that it's all just blather and that there's no way in hell they can achieve any of that. Well if you don't think they're not going to go for it, now that they control both chambers, quite a few statehouses, including places like TEXAS that was supposed to be a bastion of Americanism, as well as the bulk of the bureaucracy and much of the Judiciary they're looking at green lights and no speed limits. And what of police forces and even the US Military?! plus the Antifa and BLM goon squads? I mean, for fuck's sake people we now have an actual U.S. Senator who is supported by and likely an actual member of the Muslim Brotherhood! As friend and friend of the blog the erudite and estimable historian Robert Spencer postulates: Many have observed that this election was a choice between continuing as a free republic or becoming a totalitarian socialist state and/or an Islamic republic. Many others, of course, dismissed such talk as campaign hyperbole, and it won’t happen all at once, but anyone who fails to recognize the hostility of the “progressives” to dissent and their determination to transform the nation into a one-party state are simply naïve or tragically uninformed. . . the MAGA movement is now dead. Those who hate America and everything it has been are firmly in power in Congress, and in two years will capture the presidency as well. The consequences of all this will be far-reaching, even to the point of making the free, open, and peaceful society in which we once lived a dim memory. All citizens of the United States should have taken it as a warning when one half of the body politic declared that restoring the nation’s greatness was a noxious and execrable idea. Or perhaps by the time that group constituted half of the electorate, it was already too late. In any case, the twilight of what remains of that greatness is now upon us.And from the Central Committee and Politburo conference table, I have this item from WInnie the Pooh's pu-pu platter: China’s state-run Global Times wrote in the wake of the U.S. midterms that “the ‘myth’ of Western-style democracy is losing its appeal, even in the West.” The Chinese Communist paper did not explain why it decided to put its own cheap shot of “myth” in scare quotes, as the word was not quoted from any other source, and the point of the editorial was that democracy is mythical because the citizens of the U.S. and other Western nations do not actually believe their votes bring them better government.Dumb statement in that Xi should've congratulated the forces of freedom and democracy such as we have here in the PRC! That last line is actually kind of humorous in that it's unintentionally truthful. We, that is our fellow citizens in name only just recreated , no not '68, but 1933 Germany right here at home! Well as the late great Andrew Breitbart so brilliantly observed, politics is directly downstream from culture. How Hollywood Helped Fuel Tuesday’s Blue Tsunami: Call it a collective approach, one that aligned key cultural forces together with one goal above all else. Progressive power.Beyond that, this utter hideousness is also what it begets... A special education teacher at a Montgomery County, Maryland, elementary school urged women to "stop giving birth" to boys because America's "patriarchal hell" means they're all "menace[s] to society," a Washington Free Beacon review found. The teacher, Dana Zentgraf, also called to overthrow the U.S. government. "It's your son too. It's all of them," Zentgraf wrote in a Facebook post under her online name, "Da Graf." "They are all menace[s] to society and we need to stop giving birth to them."Well if politics is downstream from culture then what is being taught to our children from Pre-K through Post-Grad is upstream from all of it. Unless and until we wrest total control of education, all is well and truly lost, perhaps forever. And considering the results of last Tuesday, the advances made by parents and others in breaking up or starting to break up the Indoctrinaton Mill that American academia has been for nearly 60 years will vanish. On all this I nevertheless wish you all to keep the faith and have a good day, and pray for guidance and for the America we yearn for to somehow reemerge from the wreckage of Tuesday and what it will beget, and to endure.

Because there is a 0% chance of the GOP taking any of that advice. The advice he is giving has been the correct advice for more than a decade. They haven't taken it in the past, because they are completely concerned with *preventing* any of that from happening. And they do not want to win in '28. They want to go back to the minority and stay there. With Trump out of the picture, they can put right the natural order he disrupted so badly. So, yes, in a completely different political reality, that guy is totally spot on. But in this reality, the GOP wanted this outcome, and they got it, and they aren't going to change in the next 2 years - or ever. Seeking a political solution from the Republican Party is a delusional waste of time and effort at a time when little of either can be spared. Regarding Vance's statement laying out the losses to the "war" in Iran.
War? What war? What we are doing in Iran is barely a war, more like an embargo. Almost everything that has been done has been economic actions and targeted elimination of the current leadership. Relatively little blood has been lost on either side. Any real war going on is a propoganeda battle that we are apparantly loosing due to TDS and DC selling out to people who hate the US aned Israel. Vance needs to be called out on the carpet. He has become full of himself and seems to have lost thye idea of being a tem member. I am deeply disappointed in him. Hey! That's my line! I am immensely grateful to the Almighty for being born and raised in the former US. For several days I have been reflecting on over the thousands of years of human history, and anywhere on this planet to be born, it was in the only experiment where Protestant Christians could carve out a high-trust, profoundly productive and human flourishing expanding society. As a sojourner in this world, I have had 29 years of that included Vietnam War, Watergate, fuel embargos, the Weather underground, the gutting of industrial America but also saw expansion of the Gospel, incredible prosperity and Morning in America. Here we are at civilizational sunset, like those of the Exodus from Egypt, all they want to do is return to slavery and worship demons. How this is different now is that there are at least three generations of people who don't know how to work, think, worship or grow. They don't care about my world. They are hungry and cold and will burn down the beautiful ornately carved oak door to be warm. That is what is different. Posted by: Community Notes at November 05, 2026 07:55 AM (9Hs2w) 57

Sorry I’m not buying that the Iran “war” led to the midterm results. I put the word war in quotes because as someone upthread said quite accurately: it’s not a war… no casualties to speak of on our side (yes… tragically there have been deaths, but big picture the number is no more than what would occur during normal peacetime training)… we have no boots on the ground. Your average voter couldn’t find the Strait of Hormuz on a map. This was the typical “party of president loses midterms” but on steroids due to TDS and the usual media bias also on steroids due to TDS
Thought experiment: Even without Iran “war” diesel prices still quite high due to Ukraine… midwestern farmers still ticked off Posted by: LinusVanPelt at November 05, 2026 07:57 AM (PYT6H) 64

Posted by: LinusVanPelt at November 05, 2026 07:49 AM (PYT6H) It would be one thing if the state was badly run or if some scandal had blown open, but neither took place. Paxton, Abbott, Patrick, Middleton and French all lost by similar margins. Even in my deep red (in 2024) county, Talarico won by 7 and Republicans for local offices are ahead by only the tinest margins. Is a puzzlement. Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh Something isn't right. Election post mortem in Texas: I’ve been looking at how populations voted, and one factor jumps out of the Texas numbers.
During this cycle, I scoffed at the idea that a Mexican lawyer from the Rio Grande valley could overthrow Abbot’s long tenure - but she did, massively. How? Hispanic/Latino voters now make up 32% of the Texas voters pool. In 2024, turnout for this group was moderate and voted roughly 50/50 for Trump and the rest of the Republicans. This year, Hispanic turnout was the heaviest ever and broke at least 75/25 for Ginojoza and her political allies, like Talerico. Combined with lesser shifts in other portions of the demographics, this was enough of a move to wipe out Republican candidates across the board. Other factors may have been in play elsewhere, but in Texas it looks like heavy immigration enforcement is what has handed the state to the left. A bitter pill to swallow, but undeniable. We were all focused on the Talerico/Paxton race as being the most significant. But it’s looking like Ginojoza’s stealth anti-ICE campaign is what actually swung the numbers, carrying all her allies along in her coattails. Assume it's all cheating. Then what? Who will "go after" that cheating? Who is the faction that will do anything about it? The GOP, as an institution, has had over a decade now to "go after" open, provable voter fraud. They had the majority and still couldn't pass a bill whose stated purpose was to "go after" it.
And if the cheating is not significant, and this shellacking was truly organic, the same basic problem still stands... who do we have that will do anything about it? The problem is the reformation of the party that claims to represent us, but whenever it is time to do so, it doesn't and acts like it's our fault. I don't have solutions, here, but I do know that "cheating" is not the core problem to be dealt with. Fix that, and you just get a healthy happy Uniparty again. It is more than a little fishy that in Texas, the democrat vote numbers are higher than a presidential election year in all statewide races, and even a few local races. In Texas house district 93, the democrat was found to be a felon and therefore not eligible to serve, and suspended her campaign months ago. But she won Tuesday.
-- Out of all the figures I saw pouring in yesterday, TX is the one that was glowing brightly that something doesn't seem right. These figures are not right. It doesn't make sense. Factoring in the Democommunist's wet dream of turning TX blue so that they'll have full capture of the presidency through electoral votes makes these numbers extremely suspect. But again, we can say that till we're blue in the face. If the results are hinky, nobody will do anything about it. I don't know what TX legislature is now after the brutal beating, but if it also turned Democommunist, here comes the "no voter ID" and "mail-in ballots" to ensure they'll win every presidential election from here on out. The brass ring is right there for them and you can be sure they're going to take it. Meanwhile, the John Thune party of do-nothing traitors won't lose any sleep. @montoyalouis1 🚨Two numbers from Texas that don’t pass the smell test: Gina Hinojosa just got 5.23 million votes for governor. That’s more than any gubernatorial candidate in modern Texas history — higher than Abbott’s 4.66M peak in 2018 and 1.68M more than Beto got in 2022. James Talarico got 5.45 million for Senate. That’s only about 940k short of Trump’s entire 2024 presidential total in Texas… in a midterm. Republican raw votes stayed flat. Democratic votes exploded. Welp, this has been - The Year of My Teams Losing so far. The Republicans, Dallas Cowboys, and UT Longhorns have all been posting the Big L despite good polling and great expectations. So, what happens now, Muh 'Horns are making adjustments that are helping them to win with team they have. Better coaching as it were. Better plans. The Cowboys are making adjustments and looking better in some areas but are stuck with a team that is sadly lacking in defense to prevent scoring against them and don't push the offense strongly enough, In essence, the team players themselves do not perform as they should, despite the coaching seeming mostly good. That seems to me to be the most analogous to the Republicans situation. The team itself, the players don't, won't, or can't perform to the fans expectations. So now, what of the Republicans? Well, we know the team refused/refuses to run his game plans, so the coach is compelled to run all the plays himself. In this situation, even the coach himself loses the game plan which was simple, effective, but opposed by the other team and given no help by his players. So what is the Plan for Team Republican/Team MAGA? How can they win? Posted by: naturalfake at November 05, 2026 08:19 AM (YSUhf) 127

Never forget the power of Mimetic Theory. Negative ads don't resonate, what does is implanting desires into the majority of people who don't know what they desire and that comes externally. I heard a lot of ads on commercial FM radio when I was driving around in TX during the MoMeet. The information on who the DEMS were got out, but the receive side shut down. The positives of GOP actions were discounted, and indeed covered up by the pop culture. Action was not taken to make the average, low-info person feel better. I've taken a little heat for this in the past, but it's been a good long while since I thought of TX as a conservative state. A dishwater dull, GOP-controlled state, yes. But no further to the right than a lot of purple states, and certainly further to the left than some weak red ones.
Again, I didn't think it would flip blue in '26, but I had it on my dance card for the next couple cycles, in any event. I think having a bona fide fuckin' All-Star like Trump on our team blinded a whole lot of people to how perennially soft the rest of the team really is... you can't really believe the Patriots or the Bulls just aren't that good until a Brady or a Jordan leaves. In Colorado, where registered Independents* can vote in either primary, we have non-Republicans deciding the candidates. America may be completely lost.
The two worst responses from the right are: - It's not that bad (it is) - It was fraud (it was not) The seeds of Trump's fall, and him bringing us down with him, were planted in these two lines: "Lock her up" "Build the wall and make Mexico pay for it" Trump lied on both of those. He lost his nerve, gave the Dems a free card on illegality while letting them block his signature policy. But he was given a second chance in 2024. And after a flurry of Executive Orders he's ... done nothing. Example: SCOTUS gives him Slaughter, the right to fire everyone, and no one, not one person was fired after. Because he's been pouting every since over birthright citizenship. So it wasn't Iran, gas price, affordability, etc.--it was everything: Trump and the Republicans do nothing but break promises. If you want a deadly conspiracy to look into:
- Anthropic got in a fight with Trump, demanding the right to run the military operations, giving them the right to "veto" operations they don't agree with. - Trump won with the courts saying no - then next, we have this magically fully-formed "AI ethics" governing board. - To not just build a moat of regulations keeping other AI out and killing them, but also, give them (Anthropic) the veto right over all AI use. - this moat, because it'd make them "government approved" is worth trillions of dollars - right at the time Anthropic has stalled, burnt through all their VC investment and the founders need to cash out (before it fails) - Dems agreed to build the moat, if they got in power; R didn't. - Now you can see how Dems found millions of voters this year. AI has been turned into a tool of control against us in the hands of the most evil people in history. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at November 05, 2026 08:34 AM (/Ki2A) 172

Posted by: Community Notes at November 05, 2026 08:19 AM (9s47C) Partly correct. Good marketing is pure manipulation. Part of it is emotional. And a majority of the emotional manipulation ABSOLUTELY MUST be positive and aspirational - this product will make you happy and make your friends and family think you are cool. But politics is a uniquely, perfectly polarized market, so there is always room (and a requirement) to play upon fear, anger, hatred, and envy/sadism, as in no other market. It just needs to be quietly speaking behind the loud happy talk. And no matter what you are doing, a heaping helping of humor and raw sex appeal amplifies all other signals. It won’t take that long. Blue staters have moved across the map like a virus and devoured every semblance of liberty and constitutional order in their path. One needs to only look at places like Colorado, and very soon in NC and SC to see what’s in store for Texas in short order. Abbott was holding back the wolves and using the governors power to do it. Democrats will eliminate that firewall and do all they can to subvert the voting system. BTW the betrayal by Latinos, GOPe and the Bush family cohort won’t be forgotten any time soon. Texans have long memories and now that the game has changed, fucking bring it. Posted by: That Guy at November 05, 2026 08:39 AM (UMWMT) 190

After that failed to get the ruling classes attention it was stepped up Trump whose main focus was ending woke insanity, America First and secure borders. Billionaire Leon Black filed a federal defamation suit Wednesday against Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, accusing him of lying about Black's ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The complaint, filed in the Southern District of New York, seeks $7.25 million in compensatory and punitive damages and a jury trial, and alleges Garcia "has knowingly and willfully lied about Leon Black and defamed him," NBC News reported.
Black undoubtedly had this ready to go after midterms - as following Tuesday's blue tsunami, Democrats will take control of the House in January, and Garcia is expected to become Oversight chairman. This would put him in charge of the committee that has already subpoenaed Black and voted to hold him in contempt. Posted by: SMOD at November 05, 2026 08:48 AM (RHGPo) 231

If we are to survive, there has to be a massive issue against all Dems the R can run on.
Both sides know this. Dems have the tools to prevent it. We have Trump; tone-deaf strutting about how he didn't lose and picking fights with Vance. I know it's not in his nature (because he wants to make deals), but he has to force the Dems to fight against their own voters. Enter Trump Santa. Every spending bill, demand they double it. Then shut down the government if they don't then double it again. Tell them they have to come up with the money for Americans who are suffering. Waive all restrictions and controls on all welfare--no age limit, no income limits, no application: You're automatically approved. It's only fair for Americans who are suffering. Social Security? 20% increase for everyone. It's only fair for Americans who are suffering. Taxes? Jubilee for the next two years; no taxes due. General pardon for any individual owing back or current taxes. It's only fair for Americans who are suffering. Win-win for us: We either cash out on the looting of the treasury. Or Dems become the hated penny-pinchers who stopped it all. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at November 05, 2026 08:49 AM (/Ki2A) 236

I definitely look forward to Democrats pursuing the agenda they said they would, as opposed to the make believe fever dreams of people who voted for them because they deserved a “chance”. Reap what you sow. Pretty soon it will move from “that’s all political bullshit” to “omg, it wasn’t”. It’s unfortunate the rest of us have to go for the ride.
You’ve got record low crime. Low inflation. Beat gdp on a long time. Trillions in investment and jobs coming online, lower taxes and magically after the election (as we said) the price of gas is crashing. That wasn’t Democrats. It’s the agenda and impact we’ve been talking about for months. But give Democrats a chance to take us back to the great days of Biden and Covid, when they wrecked the economy we are still fighting out of. People deserve what they asked for. Enjoy. From the American Elegy article:
"There is one unalterable truth that “good” people don’t want to acknowledge: if evil and tyranny are not aggressively confronted, they will prevail every time. They have to. If they are willing to -- and are even excited by — lying, cheating, stealing, looting, harassing, assaulting, and killing, and “good” people aren’t willing to do what it takes to stop them, there is no other possible outcome. And, if a person is not willing to do whatever it takes to stop the evil, and is therefore willing to allow untold damage to their descendants and others in perpetuity, I do not consider them a “good” person." This will sound real melodramatic but, what happened in Texas is literally civilizational ending. The communists have always wanted Texas' electoral votes. With Communists in control, and no possibility ever of the SAVE America act or anything like it, the first order of business is to make Texas elections resemble California elections—and that is to eliminate voter ID, allow ballot harvesting and remove ineligibility tracking on Motor Voter so that illegals can register and no way to determine elsewise. Texas will then Vote Fraud its way into permanent Communist POTUS, there is no need to pack the SCOTUS because with permanent Executive and Legislative, the courts will soon be Communist. When the lights in the US finally go out, then Taiwan is taken in by China and you can damn well better believe that they will shut off the CPU/GPU/RAM flow into the West and control it like a tyrant. A national election that was going the Dems way is the perfect time to go all in on the steal in big Red Texas, take the statehouse and the governor's seat and you get the keys to the election apparatus. While I was in bed this morning, trying to think of any good reason to get up, I came across a Facebook (yes, I know) post from someone mentioning a Dem / GOP strategy - that is, take away a large chunk of Americans' freedom, then after the outcry (if there is one), retreat, give back some freedom, and watch as the sheep accept the lessened freedom. He explained it in terms of gas prices: if you fill your tank at $2/gal, and then in 6 months at $4/gal, you've become accustomed to the rise, and $3.50/gal seems like a break. If the price goes in one day from $2 to $4, then you scream. The next day it goes down to $3. You're still mad, but you accept $3 as the 'new normal.' He's right. Democrats ran on affordability. Now they WILL hold the gavels, and the left is already pushing for subpoenas!
____ I don't think so. The vast majority of the country doesn't even know what happens in Washington, let alone care. What's going to happen is Trump's economy will continue on it's path, consumer goods and fuel become more affordable, wages increase faster than inflation, demand pressure on everything will decline as effects of deportation continue to accrue, and the majority of the voters will pat themselves on the back for putting the Dems 'back in charge'. Posted by: redridinghood at November 05, 2026 09:26 AM (wzaBj) My point is more that not voting itself is a vote. You're saying none of the above. You're saying you don't believe either option will make anything better, and don't accept what you expect either person to do. You absolutely get to complain afterwards because you've already rejected the premise that so-and-so would have been any better. But I totally agree with the sentiment that people who sit on the fence and don't vote, then turn around and say "oh, things would be better if so and so would have won"... yeah, screw those people. Or the people who claim to care about an issue and then not vote for a candidate who has a good track recond on that very issue because of some nonsense or another. That's infuriating too. For my part, I did vote for once. But nonvoters are people too, and they have a right to complain. There are a whole helluva lot of them that contribute a whole helluva lot more to our country than a whole helluva lot of people who do vote. There are also more people in this world who can't vote than who can, or live in *ahem* countries where voting doesn't count for much. And that's always been the case, and believe me - those people's opinions frequently count for a lot more than anyone might like, but they count. This whole "voting is a civic duty and unalloyed good" bullshit is just that, and no more. Sorry, but America has no universal vote requirement, and it's the right of every citizen to sit it out, and just as valid a choice as voting for one of your preferred pederasts and gang members. And there's the rub: not one person who ever said "but you have to vooooote, it's your duuuuuty" ever meant it. They really mean "vote for my thieving pederast." The moment the other thieving pederast suffers from low turnout, they celebrate it. Nobody actually believes this crap. QED. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at November 05, 2026 09:32 AM (BI5O2) 371

If you sit the vote out and wind up with AOC in charge of the country and complain you deserve to shit your fucking teeth....sorry not sorry....and I do not give a fuck what the back story is.
Posted by: sven at November 05, 2026 09:43 AM (Int1s) I probably won't sit that out. If they give me career GOP for a Presidential/Senate choice (they will), I'll write in something. I'll vote to keep my state as far right as I can. The federal government is a lost cause, and there is no viable option. With or without my vote, the Democrat nominee in 2028 will win. This is your Party's fault. Quit blaming voters. Or nonvoters. This is squarely on the Republican Party. It was up to them to present an alternative to perpetual Democrat rule, they were given a golden opportunity to do it, and they refused. And that's all there is. Voting can't fix this anymore. The federal government requires a different political solution than elections. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at November 05, 2026 09:54 AM (BI5O2) 404

I know it seemed like he had an endless supply of $ for ad buys.
What I'm curious about is...did Texans have any idea what he has said in various settings and behind the scenes, ie tranny kids and non-binary G*d? What about the week long mental health breakdown right before the election in Ohio? Was any of this stuff widely known? He had an entire playbook of outrageous stuff that's come out of his mouth. Was any of it used in billboards? Campaign ads by Paxton or any other R PAC? Posted by: Lady in Black at November 05, 2026 08:15 AM (qBdHI) This entire election was anti Trump. Anti GOP. Posted by: sven at November 05, 2026 09:59 AM (Int1s) If leaving is a reasonable choice for you, then by all means, bolt. It's a good idea. Probably the best one, on an individual basis. I'd be gone already if it were workable. I certainly haven't discounted the idea. It could be reasonable at some point in the medium term. But I have things here I need to be here for. And I still have a nagging desire to fix things in America. It just has nothing to do with the federal government, and can't be done through it. Good Morning. Thanks, J.J.
'I feel like the only way out of this patriarchal hell is for there to be less men on this earth,' wrote Dana Zentgraf of Montgomery County's Clopper Mill Elementary. Great. A special education teacher likely 'teaching' more male children than female, and definitely not because she wanted to be that type of teacher (unless she has been blessed with 'gifted' classes). Rather because special education is the starting point - and could be the ending point - of those who want a fulltime teaching jobs in certain public school districts. (And my how the school administrations gripe about Special Education classes taking money from the system for other programs and teaching - not to mention pensions & benefits!) But long-in-tooth Dana is a man hater in general, apparently never had an opportunity to become a parent and - maybe - never a wife. She likely has a history of picking the wrong man or being the wrong woman. C'est la vie. Unfortunately, there are many K-12 teachers who detest boys unless they have a special family or particular gift that can be ridden upon. nothing new. hidden that well heeled women, particularly in entertainment and politics have used methods to ensure births of female children, and have aborted males just because. (Also from above, Christian Toto: Breitbart warned us politics is downstream of culture (did we listen?).)
While Montgomery County overall is one of the wealthiest counties in the United States, its public school system is large, diverse, and starkly divided by income and race. In fact, its public schools have a majority-minority student population. Dana F-ed up in the wrong place. The danger is we're dealing with a so many dumb but educated 'on paper' idiots becoming increasingly more desperate for a niche. Posted by: L - No nic... at November 05, 2026 10:08 AM (NFX2v) 413
Now here's a silly, silly goose:
Scott Galloway called Elon Musk a "traitor to the West" during a live podcast appearance with Kara Swisher, sparking widespread controversy and accusations that he was invoking capital punishment. So h8ful! A major loser even given his previous background and employment. (Made zero into a unique marketing professor cut off of X by Musk.) 😂 Posted by: L - No nic... at November 05, 2026 10:08 AM (NFX2v) 414
