Almost as if oil was being hoarded to drive up prices and then released the moment the polls closed: Crude oil prices plummet a day after the election.

Via Democrat propaganda outlet NBC:

Oil prices dropped sharply Wednesday, propelled by growing hopes for a resolution in the Iran war.

European Brent crude fell below $100 per barrel for the first time since Oct. 7. The move translated to a nearly $8 drop, or an 8.3% decline. U.S. crude oil, or West Texas Intermediate, also slipped 8.3% to close at about $88.12. It was oil's biggest daily decline since April.

Relief for consumers may follow. Oil's fall could bring the national average price of gas down below $4 in the "days ahead," Patrick De Haan, an analyst at GasBuddy, said.

Understand the implications of what happened in Texas last night.

Gina Hinojosa has called on Gov. Abbott to end state & local cooperation with ICE & she can order that on day one.

Hinojosa voted against the 2017 SB 4 as a TX state rep. The bill was essentially a sanctuary cities ban and required TX law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainers. She then voted against another SB 4 in 2023, which made it a state crime to cross illegally into Texas.

Should there be another border crisis in coming years, there will likely be no resistance from Texas at the border. No Texas DPS, no TX National Guard, no razor wire or water buoys, and no Operation Lone Star, which Hinojosa called a "dog and pony show" and "political theater".

Remember when 15,000 Haitians surged illegally into Del Rio, TX in 2021 under the international bridge? That was only stopped because Texas DPS responded on Abbott's orders and physically blocked further crossings by lining up their cruisers to form a wall. The Biden Border Patrol was caught off guard and offered almost no resistance, except for some horseback agents who were falsely slandered for "whipping".

Additionally, because Republicans failed to pass any legislation codifying President Trump's border security measures, if Dems take the White House in 2028, that Dem president could, if he/she wants to, reverse every single Trump border security policy immediately upon taking office because they were all done at the executive level, and they can order Border Patrol to go back to a passive catch & release policy like we saw under Biden.

Meanwhile, the latest caravan of illegal immigrants is due in Texas within weeks.

True, except change "could" to "absolutely will" and it will be more correct. This election showed that the Dems' strategy of changing the electorate is working well. They want to expand on that strategy and they will continue to do so. It's quite likely that the US will soon be as unrecognizable as Europe is today.

If those policies are so important and so good and so necessary, then why has legislation implementing those policies not been passed? 50 I see that some are comparing this to 2008, saying it was even worse. Wrong.
In 2008, Democrats still cared about a strong America. They believed in American ideals.
Now, they hate a strong America. They care more about the 3rd world they have imported to cause destruction to those that built it.
You own your home?? You have savings and investments you worked a lifetime to aggregate? Now, YOU are the problem. And YOU are the target. Because the Democrat party that formerly believed in the American experience no longer does. They care about how much wealth they can strip and mine from those that worked to make it. They care about people that desecrate American ideals and now want to TAKE, not EARN their share. That is the new game. Except it isn't a game, it's reality. And traditional Americans and their beliefs are the targets.
The 3rd world makes or builds NOTHING. They only take, take, take, like locusts, leaving fields barren when they move on. We are going to watch the destruction happen in real time. In America. Led by the Democrat party and their new Islamic and Communist factions.

Dems focus on DEI, investigations, and racism because they also know they have NO solutions to anything. They can't do a single thing about affordability. Nothing. Whatever they can do will just make it worse.

58 Minnesota and Michigan show how Muslims can take over governments while being a relatively tiny minority of voters. I don't know the actual statistics, but I suspect that virtually 100% of Muslims voted for the Muslim candidates who won. Muslim minorities "punch way above their weight class." No other groups block-vote like that

By the time Muslims reach 25% of the population, they have completely taken over everything. Even at around 10%, the Muslims are pretty much already controlling large parts of Europe.

81 @54...when Obungo was elected to his first error of socialism, our son in Tallahassee experienced the Gloat.

Odd that when the GOP wins we just live normally and don't rub it in like a 3rd grader who ate too much candy.

Gloat must be a side effect of monkeypox.

He was at a gas station, all 6'4" of a very handsome young man, and a black dude came over to him for no apparent reason as he got in his car.

Said, "We are in charge now, boy." I guess assuming the blacks would take over and enslave us.

We are a family who know black people. I was half raised by black women. I had a black surgeon operate on me (my battle cry when people hear I'm from MS). One of son's friends from college who works for his company is black. Totally uncalled for and raciss and big deal in this century.

My son ignored him, got in his car, and drove off.

Sometimes the swell head gloatation is thankfully brief, altho painful with the monkey pox and now shigella diarrhea.

I might accidently run into a pack of arses pointing to mecca due to the sun blinding me on a street. Then accidently back up and do it again, thinking, "Wow, that was a big speed bump!"

97 Not exactly a great insight, but was hinting at the huge potential immigration/border implications of the TX disaster last night.

"Sanctuary" state. Biggest/most important border sector. Ending cooperation with feds will be a huge blow to what is now a fairly secure border.

Hope the economic illiterates and whiny foreign policy ignoramuses that helped lose TX will find undermining border security worth it.

And speaking of this, there's particularly worse news than the bad news above. At least one survey (which looks reasonable in terms of methodology) shows ICE/deportations as the top concern of Hispanics in TX switching R to D yesterday. "War" not even on the list.

🚨 EL-SAYED REFUSES TO BACK SCHUMER FOR SENATE MAJORITY LEADER

Michigan Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed declined to endorse Chuck Schumer for Democratic Senate leader, despite Schumer’s support for his campaign.

“I do believe we need new leadership and I think people are hungry for it,” El-Sayed declared.

The outspoken Israel critic signals growing divisions within the Democratic Party over its leadership and direction.

161 For some, the issue isn't being wrong, it was being a jerk while being so wrong. The lesson isn't to be right or that optimism is okay or not. The issue is don't be a fucking jackass and then turn out so wrong or it's gonna bite you. Or... just don't act like a jackass.

163 We all know why the GOP got their ass kicked. They know why they got their ass kicked.
Lazy spineless MFr’s. I can’t blame people for sitting this one out. I hate it but I can’t say I didn’t expect it. I’m glad we didn’t have kids.

When you see shit on the sidewalk, people here are smart enough to walk around it, instead of stepping in it. This cannot be said with Democrat voters, however.

167 I remain an optimist.

Nothing will change this.

I know where I'm going and the Tally Rico's and strange pisslamists in MN and MI can't change this.

Also, apparently I owe more than Ace for accidently blowing a margin with a new name I was trying out (in his comments on the sidebar). I did apologize to Ace and change it immediately.

Who knew? I always tinyurl stuff to add as I'm that good to our host.

I guess I need a good spanking. Please bring champagne.

It was not intentional, I am a good person, and I am sorry to offend.

xoxo

The victory will be short-lived, as poor resource allocation, theft, and economic stupidity van empty out a country pretty fast these days.

175 88 We are here, at least in part, from the "My Hair Is Not On Fire" brigade.

The list of "My Hair Is Not On Fire" commenters is both lengthy, and wrong.

They never show back up when proven, yet again, to be wrong.
