Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Wednesday Night ONT - November 4, 2026 [TRex] Good evening Horde! The time has come for mid-week shenanigans of the overnight variety. The bar is open and fully stocked. Step up and place your order. Welcome to the Wednesday night ONT which means another edition of random overnight fun and games. Pull up a chair and join the fun. Good will offerings of amusing puns are encouraged. Pants are optional. Be nice to your fellow commenters and AoS contributors. If you're a troll, go away. This is a Tucker, Candace, Megyn, and Bill Kristol free zone. Please. [Top photo: Newark Airport, Terminal A - flag in reverse side flag configuration (right shoulder, stars leading). The other side wasn't photo accessible at the time.]![]() ![]() For six years, the Parallel Parking Championship in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has (for some of us) been motorsport's crown jewel, a thrilling contest pitting man and machine against time and a 20 foot parking space. The event was first organized by a young couple named Dan and Jenna, just to settle a long-standing family debate about who was the best parallel parker. It has since grown into a raucous street party, a participatory art form, a gift to motorists, and a communal act of joy.The rules and scoring are simple: Each driver begins from their preferred position and the timer starts when the referee sees the reverse lights of the car. The driver parks, then shouts "Done" out the window, stopping the clock. Hitting the curb or either adjacent car results in disqualification. Your final score is your time, multiplied by your distance to the curb. Ignore the units for now, and think about the implications. If one can get twice as close by taking twice as much time, that's a decent tradeoff. There's a small bonus for bigger vehicles, but it seemed insufficient; most good scores came from smaller cars.I don't see a 2027 date yet, but looks like the last several annual events have taken place in mid September. Researchers claim they've potentially discovered wood from Noah's Ark in Eastern Turkey, potentially cracking a caper that has eluded believers for thousands of years. The so-called discovery was reportedly made in the Durupınar Formation, a roughly 538-foot-long geological structure near Mount Ararat. Discovered in 1959, site has fascinated Ark hunters for decades due to its ship shape and proximity to the events in the Bible. Andrew Jones, project head and founder of Noah's Ark Scans, told the Daily Mail that they've discovered both charred and uncharred wood nearly 30 feet underground, which could potentially be "the charred remains of Noah's Ark."The "so-called discovery"? Odd wording. Also good to know that the Ark's remains are beneath its final resting place. Would be a little strange if it was otherwise. Anyway... However, Jones notes that the wood could entail the remains of a campfire a shepherd had started while sheltering inside the Ark hundreds of years ago. Although they're unsure if it was purposefully set alight or ignited via lightning strike or volcanic eruption.Doesn't really narrow it down, does it? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Correspondence can be sent to moronhobbies at protonmail dot com where it will be sorted and processed and filed. Kid is studying ancient history, and she asked me where the word hearse came from. I told her it was from the late Roman republic - from the time of Antony and Cleopatra.
After the battle of Actium, Cleo killed herself by the bite of an Asp. The snake died immediately as well. Because Octavian was in hot pursuit of her, Cleo's attendants decided to immolate her right away to avoid capture. In Egyptian belief, the Asp was sacred, so it had to be burned as well. They only had time for one ceremony, so the bier had to do double duty. To keep track of whose ashes belonged to whom, they marked the sides hiss and hearse. I know this has nothing to do with the elderly man streaking, but a woman was photographed with boobs bobbing and running the NYC marathon.
I find this hard to believe. I think she whipped off her bra a mile or so from the finish line. There is no way she ran the entire race like that. I speed read with great abandon, I think it was the UK DM, but won't swear to it. A video, too. In normal times, before End Times 2026 (sarcasm, trolls, don't get excited) I would have posted for you Morons as a hot topic of the day. I'm going to bed early tonight and need to advertise the 100% cotton LLBean flannel sheets that have cured my insomnia this week. Thanks be to God as I was nearly insane for a week or so and getting amnesia (due to massive stress of health issues for my elderly mother and some other stuff). She escaped from rehab today and is home, where I pray she will pass peacefully in God's choosing. My brother reported The Queen was ticked off today that she couldn't get professional transportation home til 2pm. I took that as a good sign she's still bossing people around. Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow for Dim sarcasm, as it will happen. Thanks, TRex for the ONT. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at November 04, 2026 10:14 PM (hzuYO) 46

@LeaderJohnThune
Leader John Thune Over the last two years, Senate Republicans have put up a strong record of accomplishment that’s created safer streets, more money in Americans’ pockets, and new opportunities for families and businesses to get ahead. After fighting Democrat obstruction at every turn, we prevented the largest tax hike in American history, secured our border in an unprecedented way, confirmed the president’s Cabinet at the fastest pace in two decades, and put strong conservative judges on benches across the country faster than we have since the Reagan administration. I’m proud of our team and everything we’ve done for the American people, and I’m... ------- I don't like to cuss. I'm trying to get better and not do it. But here we are: Fuck this guy. This worthless piece of shit kept us from passing the SAVE act and protecting our Democracy from the rampant fraud that took place last night. Fuck him. Move his "office" out into the hallway. We flew 1st class ahead of Mayflower with all our stuff and 3 dudes moving us. Spent the night in the Orlando Airport hotel with 4 giant suitcases we hauled to be checked in at 0500. Had finished up the house at 10pm, I had my last swim, drove the hour to Orlando. I think we ate dinner. Slept a bit. The next day I remember looking at the tarmac in the dark, thinking, I won't see this airport for awhile. Then lights out. The steward poked me later for breakfast as I was probably snoring and drooling (dude was out, too). They probably thought we were on drugs vs exhaustion. We ate breakfast and passed out again for 5hrs til we landed. Slept again at son's house, where we were for a week til the movers arrived. Never again. This was the precious stuff I trusted no one with. The movers packed other crap and all moaned when they moved the solid steel upright piano that's over 100yrs old. I was waiting for that moan, as once it lands it stays there. Had a special packing man pack antique furniture into crates. That turned out funny because our Neanderthal neighbor we hated was spying in the bushes at us. I made up a story about selling my grandmother's priceless antiques and the man went along with it. Friends got all of our porch furniture and plants and neighbor was still in the bushes. My friends and I lied that we'd inherited millions and were getting new furniture. The For Sale sign didn't go up til we left and flew off. Good neighbors knew we were leaving and where. It was like we went into wit-less protection! Ha! In 2010, white Americans made up 45.3 per cent of Texas. By 2025, that number fell to 37.3 per cent. Hispanics now make up 40.9 per cent of Texans, the largest group in the state. Of the four million people Texas added between 2010 and 2020, 95 per cent were not white. Nearly one in five Texans, 5.8 million people, was born abroad, up from one in six a decade ago. As the cliché goes, demographics is destiny. Steven Edginton @StevenEdginton In 2016 the chairman of the Texas Democrats said: “If we can get Hispanics to vote in this state, it would be impossible for the Republicans to elect anyone.” Last night his daughter was elected governor. This is not new. California voted Republican in nine of ten presidential elections up to 1988. Then Reagan signed an amnesty for three million illegal immigrants. Whites went from 67% of the state to 35%. No Republican has won it since. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at November 04, 2026 10:57 PM (P5BPp) Posted by: ... at November 04, 2026 11:00 PM (vE0+H) 130

My feed is about 1/5th Democrat crap about the election. Looks like they changed the Al Gore Rythm... Posted by: Romeo13 at November 04, 2026 11:27 PM (mP0Kj) 160
158 Ryan lost the debate to Biden. Never forget.
Posted by: NCKate at November 04, 2026 11:26 PM (enNUy) Ryan was supposed to be a fiscal Hawk... but the only thing he ever got passed that lowered Fed spending... was saving money on MILITARY RETIREMENTS. Posted by: Romeo13 at November 04, 2026 11:29 PM (mP0Kj) 161

You must have accidentally clicked on something and it went in your history. Check your feed history. My feed is still 100% politics free. Just baking, woodwork and redheads as far as the eye can see. Posted by: ... at November 04, 2026 11:30 PM (vE0+H) 163
>>This seems like complaining about the refs after your team loses and I hate that. BUT... I can't get the thought of fraud out of my mind. I really can't believe that TX would choose Talarico nor that MI would really choose step-stool Abdul. It makes no sense. So, yeah, I do suspect fraud.
I detested it all my life. I played sports as a kid and always hated blaming losses on refs and cheating. Then I grew up and started watching politics. And I learned about color revolutions and regime change and saw it play out in numerous countries and they were run by our government. Then I saw Russia collusion and a Ukraine phone call and lawfare and on and on. If you don't believe in conspiracies by now you aren't paying attention. The Trump DOJ is literally pursuing multiple ones right now in federal courts including a conspiracy to rig the Alaska election this year. Andrew Jones, project head and founder of Noah's Ark Scans, told the Daily Mail that they've discovered both charred and uncharred wood nearly 30 feet underground, which could potentially be "the charred remains of Noah's Ark."
_________________________ Ah, yes, the famous Turkish Muslim student protests of 2348 BC. They never did figure out why Noah's Ark was targeted, but it lit up the sky in the name of education. I really can't believe that TX would choose Talarico
This is the explanation I've landed on until someone comes up with a better one: The TX GOP actually had a solid night for an off-year (non-presidential election); but the Democrats managed to get out the vote like it was a presidential election, which produced the wipeout in TX. Here's the data I am relying on: Paxton, supposedly a terrible campaigner with baggage, actually had numbers that look like a typical and successful off-year election: Paxton 2026: 4,249,752 Cruz 2018: 4,260,553 Same basic total; Cruz won by about 2.5 points, and Paxton lost by about 12 points. Paxton didn't underperform so much as Democrats overperformed for an off-year election: Talarico 2026: 5,445,121 O'Rourke 2018: 4,045,632 To see numbers like Talarico's, you have to look to a presidential election year, like 2024: Cruz 2024: 5,990,741 Allred 2024: 5,031,249 Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls at November 04, 2026 11:35 PM (HFrEr) 170
