In 2020, she won by 8 but lost the polling by 8. That 16% swing was...the rural white vote.

They will teach kids in high school how to use birth control, but not how to make credit work for them and how to boost credit their scores. There's an entire cottage industry built up around pro athletes that encourages insanely lavish spending. So instead of getting real financial advice, the players get fleeced by an army of parasites. Sure, at the end of the day it's their fault, but these are usually very young guys and not too sharp to begin with. Easy marks.

I think one of the reasons that progressives sometimes slum in Christianity relying on the rationale that aligns it more with their "progress" than 2000 year-old text of that society, is that they covet that "Supreme Authority of God" and they wish that their belief in "History" was as complete.
Instead they just ignore the gap between hoping for historical outcomes and Knowledge of God.
Not to mention that finding snippets of the Bible that can be repurposed as if the God of the Universe that we believe in were telling us to do the progressive thing, fills that role when they engage in it.

Only one data point from direct experience. Familiar with an AHL hockey player who described a complete supportive bubble within which he and the other guys lived.
Their only purpose was to practice and play hockey. Everything else - from finding a place to live, transportation if needed, even laundry service - was paid for/arranged by the team. Financial advisors (with a very aggressive conservative spiel on money management), tax preparers.
Of course these guys aren't generally pulling in the long green, but a portion of them do rotate up to the bigs and some stay there for a while or forever, at which point of course they're handed off to that team's support network. Lots of sociological and other differences with basketball and football player backgrounds, in general, but seems that hockey at least is taking a pro-active approach to help the young guys avoid trouble.
