Report: Emails Suggest Jack Smith Lied to Congress When He Claimed He Didn't View His Targets' Privileged Conversations with Lawyers Plus: Last Ditch More Like Past Bitch Amirite
Then-Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigators improperly saw potential attorney-client privileged materials on multiple occasions during its probes of President Donald Trump, calling into question the controversial prosecutor's recent Senate testimony that his team had always followed so-called filter team protocols to protect such information.
Emails obtained under federal open records laws by The Oversight Project, a nonprofit investigative watchdog, show that Smith's team internally acknowledged on at least six occasions between December 2022 and August 2023 when it had accidentally or improperly let suspected attorney-client privileged materials or other sensitive communications slide through filter team reviews. The documents were sent to frontline investigators, like FBI agents.
I believe "filter teams" are supposedly "outside" teams that scan messages and keep privileged information from being passed to the investigators. A fake "firewall" against prosecutors seeing these communications.
But they passed privileged documents to the FBI and Jack Smith's team and, let's face it, hiring people to look at documents who you claim "aren't really part of the team so they don't count" is bullshit from Jump Street.
Such access potentially breached the constitutional protections for defendants and witnesses whose communications were gathered under subpoena or search warrant.
Newly disclosed: What Smith actually did contrasts with testimony
"The Smith Special Counsel Office requests the FBI search its Outlook server and/or eVault for the following potentially privileged document which may have been inadvertently sent to members of the investigative team," an Aug. 3, 2023 email from the prosecutor's records officer stated in one such example. "Please search the attached list of individuals' UNET and FBINET Outlook accounts for a document titled SM_MAL-0021793.
"If found, please notify us of the locations and take steps to purge the document from those locations," the email added. "The SCO is working to resolve the issue with this sensitive document quickly and we appreciate your help in this matter."
The multiple instances of failing to protect attorney-client communications created awkward situations for frontline staff, who even considered deleting the email trail of evidence.
"I do not intend to read Brett's notes, which I have not previously seen. I would delete the email, but for FOIA purposes perhaps I shouldn't," one official wrote in an Aug. 8, 2023 email that followed recalls of improperly forwarded evidence of attorney communications.
The emails stand in stark contrast to Smith's testimony just weeks ago to the Senate Judiciary Committee where he expressed confidence his team had followed the proper rules to keep attorney client privileged testimony out of the hands of agents and investigators who legally weren't entitled to have it.
"Mr. Smith, it's your testimony to this committee that you observed the proper investigative protocols at all times, including the filter team?" Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., asked at one point during the hearing.
The ex-prosecutor answered: "Yes, we sought to do things consistent with the law and department policy."
When prosecutors seize material that is likely to include privileged communications, the DOJ manual requires a "filter team" made up of "agents and lawyers not involved in the underlying investigation" to pull out any protected communications before investigators see them.
Marshall Yates, a former chief of the FBI's congressional affairs office who now works as a strategic counsel for The Oversight Project, told Just the News he believes the emails his group obtained show "a violation of somebody's constitutional rights" and conflict with Smith's Senate testimony.
"Jack Smith's abuse of power knew no limits, and what he testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee was that they followed filter team protocols," Yates told the John Solomon Reports podcast on Friday. "He was very clear in that testimony. And what we found is a pattern ... where prosecutors and investigators are seeing filtered information, non-filtered information that they're reviewing before it goes to a filter team. And that is a violation of the protocols that Jack Smith testified that they followed.
Bonus: That lesbian bar whose brokeass clientele freaked out when they moved to a one-night-per-week Mask Optional policy?
You're not going to believe this, but it's closing down.
A Western Massachusetts bar at the center of a Covid masking controversy last month is moving toward closing down, according to a message it posted Monday on social media.
The bar, the Last Ditch, said on its website that it was founded for lesbians, as well as "transexuals, gender freaks, workers and their friends," an oasis for safe and happy drinking in the tiny city of Greenfield. It became internationally known for the backlash to its owners' decision to relax a mandatory face mask policy. The hope was that making masks optional on Saturdays would increase business. But opponents of the change argued the bar was abandoning its goals to be welcoming to everyone.
People posting online accused the owners of being ableist and risking the lives of immunocompromised customers. A backlash to the backlash quickly emerged, with people mocking customers and their Covid concerns.
A Boston Globe story in September on the masking dispute went viral, and the travails of the Last Ditch were published by media around the country and overseas.
The publicity appeared to draw dozens of potential customers to the first mask-optional Saturday night after the local controversy became widely known. But the burst of attention was apparently not enough to save the bar in downtown Greenfield, a city of about 17,000 people.
A message on the Last Ditch Instagram page said that the bar needed "new owners ASAP."
"We are SOFT CLOSING effective immediately, all BOOKED events will CONTINUE, otherwise we are CLOSED," the message read. "Love and solidarity to all."
"We have put our lives on hold to foster networks of care, resources, and a home base for organizing," the posting said. "It's time we pass it on."
The bar's social media listed several scheduled events this week, including an open mic night and karaoke.
Three housemates, Asa Rosario, Jackie Matellian and Sage Territo, opened the bar in 2025, hoping to fill a need after two queer bars in the region had closed in recent years.
A message to the bar's email account on Monday returned an automated response saying, "We are community run for the community, so we are slow to reply."
🚨 The Massachusetts COVID-conscious lesbian bar is closing. RIP Last Ditch, you gave us the best story of the year 😭 https://t.co/Aqwc0tdACR
This video was released yesterday, serendipitously enough. It's about the fact that the lesbian community merged with the "disability" rights people long ago, and that doesn't just include people with actual disabilities, but a lot of women who claim to have "diseases" without ever being diagnosed as sick, complaining of vague symptoms that generally just boil down to being low-energy.
She talks about unwellness -- and let's face it, mental unwellness -- becoming a dominant feature of lesbian cult ideology, with many claiming to have never-proven "chemical sensitivities" that would give them headaches or vertigo if they smelled perfume or deodorant.
This group sounds like a real hoot! A real FunBunch!

Incredibly bummed I didn't get to infiltrate the Last Bitch bar in Western MA.
I really think they mask because they are butt ugly. Add the diseased and pretend disease and I'll bet it was a hoot. I know I'd give myself away trying to suppress my wild laughter and would snort a hole in my mask and be tearfully and hysterically asked to leave.
What is going to now happen to the Playskool toy houses weirdly on the table? This alone had me laughing at the bizarreness.
The laws questioned at the end also cracked me up. What is finger spelling?
And people thought the ghey bar disco we infiltrated to dance in college was weird!

I believe Detective Abberline's theory that it was a Woman that was the Jack the Ripper, when she killed her victims she looked like a midwife and if she got too much blood on her she wore her victims clothes because a witness thought they saw on of the victims on the street later that night after the murder, and they didn't know she was killed earlier that night.

"What," says McGee, "have you got some kind of colony here?"
And the lesbian takes after him with a baseball bat. He has to move fast to subdue her. Afterwards he reflects that he had to do it, because "she might not know when to stop hitting."
Such a scene must have been startling in crime fiction back then. Now it'd be called stereotyping or something.

A lot of the confusion comes about because there are two distinct types of lesbian, who (other than having female partners) have little or nothing in common.
The Type I lesbian is a lesbian because she likes women. This lesbian subtype will appreciate a lot of the same female things straight men appreciate. She might well have a Sydney Sweeney poster, for example. She herself is probably a lot more "girly" than the second type.
The Type II lesbian is a lesbian because she hates and envies men. This is your classic "bull dyke" type. Often extremely volatile and prone to violent outbursts.
Sometimes Type I and Type II will get into a relationship (the classic "bitch/butch" pairing). This often doesn't work out, and may end with the Type II beating the shit out of the Type I. Lesbian couples have by far the highest rate of domestic violence.

That lady’s theory on the ‘unwellness’ of the lesbian cult jibes very closely with a type of autism that is defined by obsession and paranoia over sickness and disease, like hyper-hypercondriacs.
This is evident in a lot of lesbian dogma that the male body is undesirable if not dangerous because it’s hairy and more animalistic than the female form.
I suspect the venn diagram of lesbianism and this kind of autism is very close to a circle.

I've only known a few life. That I am aware of. Like all gheys and trans, they need to return to their closets toot sweet and leave me to think of nice things.
One asked me out at a kegger in college and I almost went to the concert with her (as I was/am very naive or some could say stoopit when drinking large quantities). Bf/husband informed her I was straight (she asked me and I said no, because at the time I was wasted) and with him. I argued I was not straight or with him (because we were broken up, etc). I could have been surprised later, eh? He was always lurking around.
Another was a classmate who came out of the closet years after we graduated. I went to Vegas with her and was not attacked, nor did she mention it. Which was wise.
There are random others who have crossed my orbit in the past. I remain so stoopit that I had to be told, working in the huge ED, that a few nurses were lesbians whom I knew for years. I liked them anyway as they didn't make a big deal out of it. Friends said, "I can't believe you didn't know!" Nope! In my bubble!

Posted by: San Franpsycho at October 26, 2026 06:48 PM (RIvkX)
I don't think I can say they nauseate me, but they'll make me sneeze. I don't even think it's a bonafide allergic reaction--it's just hatred. My nose trying to expel the scent. I really hate them. All of them.
Which is another reason I'm glad I work at home.
And I recognize it as a me problem, and don't go round trying to demand cologne-free spaces. Maybe I should apply for disability, huh? It seems to be the thing to do these days.

They were idiots who needed help to build a case of alleged violated statutes and/or defend same. (They scooped up everything possible and then molded it into the popular, damaging narratives with aid).
The glaring problem is always if they didn't know the statutes and investigative process solidly, they could never legally defend the final product.

I think back on the first days of the Last Bitch, with three friends creating a "safe space" for lesbos and disabled and trans and whatever freak you get off on.
All was daisies and joy. Sparkles and rainbows. Until it wasn't and the wimmen became more offended, even with their own kind behind masks. Hair pulling wars every night:
"She/cis/pan/queer looked at me!"
"She/witch/racoon is not disabled!"
Bartender/owner was drunk by 8pm. Serving drinks like, "Sex on a Bitch" or "Hillary Wallbanger."
Music? Melissa Ethridge only. If a male voice sang, "Come on baby, light my fire," there was hysteria, screaming of rape, and collapse.
I may write a story about this.

Ladies, I find this an indefinite question, but: how many women have you dated? The faces your female friends show you are ... not always they show to a dude.
It is amazing how easy it is to get venom from your gal by saying something like 'I like X, she seems nice.' (This is a massive mistake, but i am an idiot. Hindsight.) And not just 'I don't like her.' Or 'She's a fake bitch.' But blazing eyed hate.

195with many claiming to have never-proven "chemical sensitivities" that would give them headaches or vertigo if they smelled perfume or deodorant.
Posted by: Disinformation Expert Ace
Testing for chemical sensitivities would be more pain than most doctors would want to put up with, because once you've had a reaction to something it takes a while for it to subside. So there's the time aspect.
And then there's the aspect of pinpointing exactly which element of the scent you're allergic to. People probably wouldn't react well if one went up to them and said "I want to know what perfume you're wearing, because the scent of it is making my nose feel like someone is shoving knitting needle into my sinuses and I really want to look up the ingredients."

Dated? Not many as I said no a lot from HS to college. I was not mean, but often had to wash my hair (true).
Always happy to stay home and was not dating to simply be dating. Was popular in spite of this weirdness of not following the crowd. Years after HS older guys told me they thought I was stuck up. No. I was myopic and didn't wear my glasses.
I'd have one date and done often, for dances or concerts in HS. Therefore: from HS til I met my dude in college less than 8 guys who kissed me (not including a couple of horrifically bad blind dates who did not even hold my hand).
Of the 8 above, 6 were one and done. And no one got to third base.
I was supposedly very good looking, although it didn't matter to me as I'd rather just have fun and ignored compliments as they embarrassed me. This is the truth, altho my malignant and jealous narcissistic friend told me I was being coy. Nope.
The only opinion who mattered is the man I married and he thought I was gorgeous after his 30+ girlfriends before me.We were 22yrs.

I could be wrong in this anthropology study. However, I reckon I'm rare as no drama, ever, with me. No game playing bs with men, either.
As the sister of brothers and mothers of sons, they'd vouch for me. My husband liked that I didn't play games and told me this while we were dating.
I had no time for it. It did not occur to me. And drama is the last thing I'd put up with in any part of life.
