It's Hard to Believe, But When You Deport Tens of Thousands of Career Criminals, Crime in America Falls

If we're deporting so many criminals, how can crime still be dropping?

A report from the Department of Justice released Monday highlighted a significant drop in violent crime and other offenses from 2024 to 2025, which comes in the wake of the Trump administration's enforcement surge.

Preliminary results from the National Crime Victimization Survey showed a 25% drop nationwide in non-fatal violent crime. Aggravated assault dropped 31%, while motor vehicle theft went down 30%.
Property victimization dropped 19%, burglary or trespassing went down 25%, and other household theft dropped 19%.
"This is what happens when you have an administration who prioritizes the safety and security of Americans and our communities," Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement.

This much is undeniable: Trump's deportations and focus on border security have run alongside a remarkable national drop in crime. To dismiss this as a mere coincidence is as absurd as when we were told there was no crime surge following the George Floyd riots and police defunding in 2020 and the explosion of border crossings during the Joe Biden presidency.
The media--always quick to reinforce whatever narrative Democrats and the Left choose to peddle--have mostly tried to wave away the connection between crime and immigration law enforcement. They've run misleading headlines saying that Trump's deportations are not targeting criminals--let's leave aside the fact that all illegal aliens have broken U.S. laws--and that if they are, then the numbers of criminal aliens is negligible, they say.
But that's not true.

The Trump administration is taking people off the streets who have not only committed crimes but are more likely to commit further ones in the future.
And that work continues even years after Trump was elected.
For instance, Immigration and Customs Enforcement nabbed over 2,000 illegal aliens in New York in July and August as part of Operation Rotten Apple--with no help from local authorities like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, of course. Among those arrested were "murderers, rapists, pedophiles, drug traffickers, and violent assailants," according to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

The arrests included, according to DHS:
"- Bogdan Detrovich Gren, an illegal alien from Ukraine, whose criminal history includes convictions for kidnapping, abduction resulting in death, criminal possession of a weapon, and murder.
-- Andreas Bernal Chiquito, an illegal alien from Colombia, whose criminal history includes arrests for course of sexual conduct against a child and act in manner to injure child less than 17.
-- Noel Celestino Lopez Martinez, an illegal alien from Mexico, whose criminal history includes an arrest for first-degree rape: forcible compulsion.
-Palvinder Singh, an illegal alien from India, whose criminal history includes a conviction for rape in Germany.

-- Chhun Kim Pril, an illegal alien from Cambodia, whose criminal history includes a conviction for drug trafficking."
And the list went on and on.

I would not have guessed that so many doctors and engineers were rapists, child molesters, and killers.

He quotes Carrie Lukas, who estimates that the mass deportation of violent criminals is responsible for 5,000 Americans being alive -- not being murdered, not being obliterated by drunk third-world drivers.

The biggest hit to the fight is in the refusal of allowing 287g agreements.

In states that allow them, local police are the ones doing all of the individual interactions that lead to immigration checks. Depending on the model the jurisdiction agrees to, they can arrest or just report to ICE.

That's millions more contacts with illegal immigrants in red states than what happen in blue states. States like CA, WA, and OR have made it illegal for local cops to enter into 287g agreements.

So, the resistance does have its effectiveness in that states like NY aren't helping where states like TX are.

However, because states like TN are helping, ICE can focus more manpower in states like IL to partially make up the difference.

The best change we can make at the local level is making sure your states, counties, and cities enter into 287g agreements with DHS.

That's quite a list of doctors and engineers. I guess we don't want to pay for their incarceration, but they really should be in prison. Do they simply get dumped back in their native countries, or do we ask cooperating governments to lock them up? If not, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in America again sometime, especially if/when the Dems retake the White House.

Trump said repeatedly on the campaign trail that he was going to do the largest mass deportation effort in history (history includes Operation Wetback, which was essentially just DACA in effect), not that he was only going after the worst of the worst.

Homan, as head of ICE or whatever, has said that that's the focus of the agency's efforts, not the point of the overall deportation effort which also includes Border Patrol and other DHS functions, as well as those picked up by 287g agreements and local cops.

You have to understand how it works, and then you will understand why Soros targets elections for Attorney's General and State Prosecutors.

The Media and the Democrats base their conclusions and incarcerations. Leftist Judiciary, AG's and Prosecutors in the illegal immigrant hives (blue states) actively operate to assure release or no jail time for these offenders. One reason is to protect that immigration status. The other is to cook the numbers to counter articles such as the one above.

Canada even does this to a higher degree and are overt about it.

Even NPR listeners should be able to figure this out: criminal illegal aliens in custody get ICE detainers that would result in them being deported; NYC refuses to honor said detainers; illegal aliens are released and (fairly quickly) go on to commit *more violent crimes*.

Some months back they were interviewing a lady on TV news that was a witness to a drive by shooting in dallas. They had to have an interpreter for her on the TV because she is an illegal and does not speak english, she has lived in the DFW are for almost 30 years. They also did not show her face.

Soviets had an advantage in sheer manpower over the Germans, and it was the only advantage they had to play to win.
The problem with success is that it cements the winning tactics into place as the only route to success, so Soviet doctrine stayed at emphasizing the use of manpower over things like good tactics and logistics.

This was the job of the penal battalions - deserters, or other groups under punishment that were driven into the front on offensives under threat of being shot if they retreated.

Early in the war they were generally pretty clumsy due to the purging of the officer corps a few years earlier. Then the huge losses in 1941 did them no favors. By mid war and later they did start running out of infantry and they press ganged anyone they could root out of cellars and in the occupied nations in the Baltic and Balkans to keep up strength.

Stanton was an incredible administrator. Davis...well...wasn't as President. And he was vulnerable to generals that sucked up to him, even Lee. Him putting Braxton Bragg in as his assistant after he was forced to fire him after losing Tennessee was political and military malpractice.

he did more jobs than that. Beating up the Japanese in Manchuria before the war, organizing many offensives later. Op Mars was a bit of a fumble but the simultaneous Stalingrad op let it be buried to help his reputation.
