The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

Perhaps the most depressing element [of his case] is just how familiar all of the facts are to people like us that are used to handling these cases. Broadly speaking, several thousand people a year are being arrested for, quote unquote, ‘offensive speech’ in the UK.” FSU Legislative Affairs Director Sam Armstrong

And after the Kung Flu "Pandemic" actions by our "elected" and "appointed experts" we are but one presidential election away from being enlightened Europe.

Quote II

"This is the local government equivalent of insider congressional stock trading," Florida's chief financial officer, Blaise Ingoglia

My thoughts? Go big or stay home. Prison time for $50K, the risk/reward evaluation was not completed? But then again she can't understand normal thinking.

Quote III

“The Wright brothers can seek out patent attorneys anywhere they want to, right? And they come to Springfield, Ohio and work with Harry Toulmin! We were great.” Michael Morris, Springfield, OH resident.

Managed decline is one thing. Outright intentional destruction of the American fabric is another.

Speaking of intentional destruction, perhaps there are some GOP candidates who are MORONS and can use the following. Once again we have left Obama down.

And finally....................

Quote IV

“This mission, however laudable, is increasingly under threat. We bypassed a definition of diversity in the service of concluding the report; yet our evasion renders the goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion vulnerable to complete erasure.” Durba Ghosh, a professor of history in Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences

If you are a parent and you allow your son to attend Cornell I have no sympathy for the frontal lobotomy brainwashing and degradation he will endure. Or for you when you say, "What happened to our son at the cost of $70,000 a year?"

Good thing I'm not in the UK and the wonderful Ilhan Nuhr isn't an MP. (See Quote I)

She's not a dirty Commie anymore. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.(Delightful, clean & wholesome video)

It's been a while since we've had one of these: Posthumous Genius Award Winner.

An American tourist plunged nearly 1,000ft to her death in the Italian Alps after veering off a mountain trail, trying to photograph the spectacular scenery.

Michaelle Alejandra Rubio Leiva, 36, was exploring the Dolomites with her family last Saturday when she reportedly lost her footing near Forcella Pordoi, a dramatic mountain pass overlooking the resort town of Canazei.

The Florida-based communications professional is believed to have strayed from the marked route towards a panoramic viewpoint before plunging approximately 980ft down an exposed section of mountainside, according to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

And as an added bonus tonight, the perfect song............Or at least pretty close.

Then I'll try using a little Superglue on the metal shower curtain rod and its socket, and let it sit for 24 hours. I mean, it says on the card that it can be used on metal, so . . .

I bought some Gorilla glue today. Not only was the brush inside it broken off, there appears to be no glue at all in the little bottle. Back it goes to WM tomorrow.

I believe this to be incorrect. Ordinarily this is true, federalizing the NG is done at the request of state governors for disaster relief. A state of Insurrection is completely new territory. President Eisenhower, for example, played his hand during the 1950s. Mississippi or someplace like that intended to defy racial integration of their schools and Gov. Faubus used their National Guard to enforce that. Ike simply federalized the NG troops and further called in the 101st iirc.

My only point here is the governors can find themselves in deep shit if they are not careful. Invoking the Insurrection Act is serious business, they can “disappear” individuals, there is no right to an attorney or any of the ordinary constitutional rights we are accustomed. They lock you in a cell somewhere, and that, as they say, is that.

90 People seem to be falling off mountains more with selfies. Which I don't take as it is beneath me. Dude and I did try once from our hotel balcony in Vienna, to get the St. Stephens cathedral spire behind us. Many shots later of me not laughing we got a photo and no one died. It was close and the photos were retarded.

We visited the Grand Canyon when sons were in junior high. Elder son was in front of the sign when a tour group of Japs invaded off a bus and nearly knocked him off the site, over 4' away, in their excitement. I grabbed him. Now I would pick up a little shrimp person (no offense to Jap Morons), twirl her around like a shot put, and chuck her off the edge. I was calmer then.

I almost got in trouble with husband/son laughing at similar weridos taking the exact same photo of the same people at the Roman Baths in Bath England. It was tres stoopit. Different cameras, same shot. I started snickering and got elbowed by the dude and son scowled. I was not that obvious! jeez

It not taking pictures, just fooling around. One fellow would ride his bicycle from Flagstaff once a week or so, and collect coinage from a spot where tourists threw it for “good luck”, it was a very exposed spot on the canyon ledge. Any governor that participates in this plot against our Constitution knows in advance that in a just world they would *hang* for doing so.

What remains to be seen is whether we live in a just world. Are the people we voted to elect ready to do what expected of them, and enforce the law and take it to the point of arresting elected officials? Are we-the-people ready to stand up and resist local law enforcement--which we didn't do during "Covid". We talk a lot about civil war. We may be facing one.

How does that affect our choices?

146 The wedding venue, Posey Meadows (what a ghey name) had seven months to fill that day for another wedding after the fiance died.

It's not like he dropped dead the day prior! I will take the opposing view of the fekin' contract as I know there are wait lists for these venues. Some people cancel for reasons other than death. I think a month's notice is plenty of time.

My own botanical garden wedding came within a week of accidently being cancelled (my mother told me much this as I was 1000mi away). She happened to stop by to check it out and we were not on the books. I assume she stayed calm and didn't threaten anyone...but there was a wait list and some bride got in then she got out quickly and had to find another day. I would bless the mystery bride's heart but it was not my problem.

This date/time was secured 8mo prior with a payment to secure it. We had people flying from many directions to attend. It would have finished us all off if we all arrived to another wedding.

Seven months with a dead fiance would surely give them time to find another bride and groom!

No I don't know the full story. Maybe she threatened jihad rudely (like I would have). Still, it ain't right.

180 An exposed section of mountainside refers to a visible area of a mountain slope where the natural surface cover—such as vegetation, soil, or snow—has been removed or is absent, revealing the underlying rock, soil, or geological layers. This can occur naturally through erosion, weathering, or avalanches, or be exposed by human activity like mining, road construction, or trail building

----

Every single one of them should have been marched out to a desolate field, and then told...

"You can go home now. You can no longer represent our church that has held a THOUSAND meetings with stone-cold communists."

But nothing will happen. Catholics don't hold their popes (lower case intentional) or their administrators accountable. IF the "Pope" said tomorrow "All Catholics should vote for Islamic candidates everywhere" most of the "faithful" would nod their head and then either quietly commit heresy or do what they were told.

Every single Catholic "leader" should be asked this simple question: Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life?

Its a "Yes/No" question. Any official who stalls answering should be marched out to a desolate field...

184 Regarding colleges and angry parents...

Fat and disgusting Michael Moore did his Ramen noodle and tidey whities tour of universities in 2004. He was coming to UF and FSU, and both universities heard from me. We were paying partial tuition and renting apts for both boys.

I debated going to hear the fat toad myself and mocking loudly, but was working. As it turned out, the kids would go collect their noodles and be too stoned to vote as turnout for college kids he spoke to was bad, and GWB the dog painter got elected again.

UF called me from the preznit's office expressing their sorrow et all and yada that it came from a special student fund vs tuition or state $, cause I was mad. She possibly was lying but it pacified me.

FSU called and said it came from student fund and that a conservative speaker would also have a platform. This pacified me much better, and they were nicer, as I liked FSU the best anyway.

Has Michael Moore reared his head from a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos strapped to his jowls recently? I read an hilarious spoof of him and the guns of K-Mart. I was totally bummed out it was a parody and not real.

194 Woot! I made it bark.

Success with the little Honda generator. Replaced the factory "spark unit" with a 4-pin HEI module from my parts stash. Minor rewiring was needed. Hooked it up, applied 12 volts from a small AGM battery. Pulled starter rope. Nice fat spark at plug, woohoo! Assembled it a bit more. Squirted brake cleaner into air intake. Pulled cord numerous times. No joy. Gave it a couple of shots of Quick Start fluid, pulled cord, Brrrrrp!. Ran about 4 seconds, but it did indeed run. Sounded a little bit strangled; the spark arrestor in the muffler could be clogged. Anyway, I shall clean out the muffler, mend the gashed fuel tank, and fully assemble, and try running it for real. And now I know for certain the "spark unit" was faulty, because all the other original components of the ignition system are in place, and working.

I distinguish four types. There are clever, hardworking, stupid, and lazy officers. Usually two characteristics are combined. Some are clever and hardworking; their place is the General Staff. The next ones are stupid and lazy; they make up 90 percent of every army and are suited to routine duties. Anyone who is both clever and lazy is qualified for the highest leadership duties, because he possesses the mental clarity and strength of nerve necessary for difficult decisions. One must beware of anyone who is both stupid and hardworking; he must not be entrusted with any responsibility because he will always only cause damage.
