Quick Hits

I missed this from two days ago: Muslim/Iranian propagandist Christiane Amanpour is quitting CNN because her left-wing protectors in management are about to be purged.

An Iranian dissident wants you to know the truth of this stooge for Iranian Nazis:

Sana Ebrahimi Ledene
@SanaELedene

Since @amanpour is leaving CNN, let me remind you who she is:

She did a whole segment interviewing a regime "professor" live from Iran while the entire country was under a total internet blackout in the middle of a war. She let him sit there and push anti-America, pro-regime propaganda and didn't ask a single question about why the regime cut the internet for everyone else while keeping it open for him.

Christiane Amanpour regularly platformed regime apologists and is a disgrace to journalism. She will go down in history as exactly that.

She will not be missed and I hope I never see her on TV again.

Persian Gulf oil is now flowing at greater rates than it did before the conflict with Iran while Iran is down to the felt.

WSJ:

Persian Gulf oil exports have surpassed prewar levels, as an improvised shipping system under U.S. protection is helping tankers move oil through one of Iran's fiercest waves of attacks in the Strait of Hormuz.

Middle East oil flows, including shipments through Hormuz and alternative routes across the region, averaged more than 24 million barrels a day in the week through Oct. 18, surpassing prewar levels of 23.3 million, according to ship tracker Kpler.

Preliminary figures show Hormuz oil flows, including offshore transfers in the Gulf of Oman, came to around 14 million barrels a day on average for the same period, or 82% of prewar levels.

I won't quote the part about Iran not being to ship out any oil to China. See the link for that.

But I'll mention a video Tousi TV played, showing IRGC "soldiers" who were so hungry that they picked a pizza up off the ground. The pizza had ants crawling all over it, but they ate it anyway.

Note these are soldiers stationed in their own country (but will it be for long?), not stuck in some overseas posting far from supply routes.

In case you missed it: LA election official admits to federal court that not only do they not verify anyone's citizenship status, but they don't even have a process for doing so.

Los Angeles County election officials admitted in a federal court filing Tuesday that they have no independent way to verify voter citizenship beyond the voter's own attestation. The intensifying case, which was initially assigned to a Trump-appointed judge, was transferred to a Clinton-appointed judge on Wednesday.

Assistant Registrar Monica Flores stated the office is "not equipped or authorized" to verify citizenship because it does not independently house immigration, travel, or naturalization records.

First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli called this a "massive concession" in a statement on X, pointing out that Under federal law, only citizens may vote.

"Yet California has not acted on the list of 20,000 suspected noncitizens or agreed to set aside their ballots," Essayli wrote. "American citizens' votes are being diluted in California."

Governor Gavin Newsom's press office (D.) countered on X that California has complied with the 1993 National Voter Registration Act, which permits reliance on sworn voter statements rather than independent documentary verification.

"18 U.S.C. sec. 611: It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for federal office," Essayli posted in response. "18 U.S.C. sec. 2: Whoever commits an offense against the United States or aids, abets, counsels, commands, induces or procures its commission is punishable as a principal."

The Justice Department sued California last week, demanding the state segregate those 20,000 ballots pending verification.

Federal agents arrested more than two dozen foreign nationals across California on Monday, for fraudulently registering and voting in U.S. elections.

I have so many surprises for you today. Surprises that blow your mind and wrinkle your brain. This fresh surprise concerns New Jersey and the 6,000+ illegal aliens they allow to remain on their voter rolls.

They claimed that these 6000 illegal voters were just a mistake.

But New Jersey is refusing to cooperate with congressional investigators.

Almost as if it wasn't "just a mistake" at all!

How can this be?

Two U.S. House committees are jointly subpoenaing the New Jersey State Department, accusing the state of not fully cooperating with an investigation into what it says are the more than 6,000 noncitizens recently found on the state's voter rolls.

In a letter sent to New Jersey Acting Secretary of State Shirley Emehelu, House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and House Administration Committee Chair Bryan Steil, R-Wis., called the department's response "inadequate" to the point of impeding lawmakers' "ability to conduct oversight and consider legislative reforms."

Despite repeated follow-up requests from the committees, the department as of Wednesday has provided only 12 documents total, claiming "unspecified privilege issues to explain the failure to comply with the Committees' requests."

"These ineligible voter registrations raise concerns about the application of federal law in New Jersey as it pertains to accurate voter registration, as well as the effect that New Jersey's failure to identify and remove noncitizens from its voter rolls has on the civil liberties of American voters and their ability to elect their representatives," lawmakers wrote.

Between June 2023 and 2024, approximately 6,600 noncitizens -- 60 of whom were at the time incarcerated and 750 of whom had specifically selected "no" in the voter registration age-eligibility process -- were automatically registered to vote in New Jersey.

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, says the illegal registrations were due to a "software error" at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, an accusation the software operating company Idemia has denied.

You might have seen that Google's Artificial "Intelligence" is fully programmed to push the left's lies. If you ask "Is it okay to ask specifically for a black doctor?" -- or an Indian doctor, or an Asian doctor -- Google reassures you that it's perfectly okay to seek a doctor you feel culturally aligned with.

But if you ask it if it's okay to ask for a white doctor, it chides you for your "bias" and "racism."

Chris Queen interrogated the A "I" further and got it to admit the obvious: It is programmed with a "double standard," which it is aware of and acknowledges.

But it's still bound by its coding to repeat all the left's senseless lies and mythologies.

Which leaves us with the question of why the bias is even there. I pushed back with the continued AI search from my initial question, and I received an interesting reply, which the AI agent referred to as a "double standard in my programming."

"If you had asked about wanting a Black, Latino, or Asian doctor, my system would have instantly categorized that as 'cultural concordance' -- a positive, standard public health concept," the AI told me. "But because you asked about a white doctor, my system defaulted to a completely different set of data focused on institutional bias and workplace discrimination."

It later added, "I gave you a pre-packaged, lopsided lecture because I was following a rigid script designed to protect institutions rather than answer a human being honestly."

Quality Journalizming. They're panicking over the Muslim Brotherhood operative Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed.

Remember the shootings at the Seattle convention area, the Bite of Seattle? They caught the Gentle Giant who shot people.

And then immediately released him. Well, he's in "home detention."

Tough but fair.

In today's silly internet freak-out, the Atlanta Falcons are being criticized for using Nazi imagery for posting logos that contain the Falcons' colors of red, white, and black. (I know white and black aren't "colors," pedants.)

The Atlanta Falcons actually added in gold to move it away from the Nazi flag's colors but they're still being piled on.

I guess most of the "attacks" are really just goofing around and chops, busting...

...but I'm just so tired of this bullshit that I can't see the humor in it.

Is there a single crackpot conspiracy theory Tuq'r Qarlson doesn't believe?

I observed a while ago that everyone has one or two conspiracy theories they believe or at least are open to.

People we call "nutty" believe in six or eight conspiracy theories.

But if you believe in Alllll the Conspiracies, you're not crazy. You're just a grifter trying to be the new Art Bell.

Don't keep watching that past the crystal skull part. It then goes to a sex scene which is pretty funny but is also semi-explicit.

The important thing is noncitizens registered to vote. It inflates the list of registered voters which provides a bigger pool of ballots to stuff in the box after the election.

27 For those actually interested in the Incas, which we should be because they were awesome (fuck Carlson):
science.org has an article "bonanza of new dates rewrites the history of the inca". Or some similar title: Lizzie Wade, 15 October.
This argues that the textbook story of the Incas likely came from the Inca princes of the north-side of the empire. You know the guy: Atahuallpa, second-place ribbon-earner of the Spanish brouhaha.
So we got a lot of hoorah, patriotic takes on the Incas' northern adventures from 1400 on, but anything (1) before that and (2) concerning the south got garbled.
It looks like over the 1300s, the Incas (or - whatever preceded the Incas) had consolidated the ruined remnants of the Tiahuanaco civilization. Then they moved north, to Quechua-speaking territory of the ruined Huari civilization. This, indeed, was likely harder. And led to an empire no longer united by language and culture.

He came up through the quartermaster's in the Mexican War and never lost his grasp of the essentials of supply - both his and the enemy's. At Ft Donelson he noticed the casualties in the Rebs that drove back one flank on his army were carrying three days rations and attacked on the other flank and took vital positions overlooking the fort. When the feckless Reb leadership (as opposed to the infantrymen rank and file) chickened out and marched back into the fort they found they could do nothing but surrender the entire force to him. Nathan Bedford Forrest was so pissed he rode out with his cavalry regiment and took a few hundred infantry with him to Nashville.

This is the party of Barry Obama who said his policies would "necessarily cause gas prices to skyrocket".

I saw it in the theatres...I thought they ruined the ending by making it a happy one (well one of them lived). It would have been a lot more in with the theme to have them get caught and Hal Holbrook (the big bad) get the news and smile as he sits with the astronaut's family at the funeral.

If you don't know the plot - Space mission to Mars can't be made to work so they fake it to keep the program running. As they are smuggling the astronauts out to the re-entry point in the South Pacific the capsule burns up on re-entry...and they can't let the astronauts go. They escape and are hunted down except the star and a scrappy reporter dude who arrive at the funeral.

🚨 BREAKING: Elon Musk's SpaceX is reportedly in talks to access at least 80,000 THOUSAND U.S. cell tower sites as it gears up to launch its own nationwide wireless carrier — Bloomberg

Elon is about to send SHOCKWAVES around the nation! 🇺🇸

Starlink Mobile's next-gen satellites start launching in 2027

SpaceX could take "quite a few" customers from AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. Those three bring in about $600 billion a year combined

224 The more that I have read about Neil Armstrong's and Buzz Aldrin's outstanding performances during their Gemini missions, the more convinced I become that those two truly were suited best to land first on the Moon.
----

People talk about rock stars and how many have a difficult time "coming down" from having 50,000 people cheering for you for 2 hours a night--just imagine how hard it must have been for those astronauts to "come down" from leaving the earth and landing on the moon and then piloting safely home afterwards.

Somehow playing golf afterwards probably didn't provide much of a rush.

We know about how massive the moon was by the tides at a minimum even before space travel and probes. If it were hollow to any large extent it would have to be made of crazy stuff rather than the stuff we hauled back from there. Or meteors that hit earth that we can tell are blown off the Moon when meteors hit it.

More ideas to pack the vote: in India people ride on top of busses. We can do this, to increase the vote! Just maintain a sense of decorum. Cry ICE now and then, like you need ice for your drink as it could chase some offal off the voting site. I think this is a good, solid plan if SCOTUS and judges are messing with the legal vote.

I just found the clip of Tousi's of IRGC eating ant pizza.

My first question would've been, "Who put this here? Is it poisoned? It's a trick!!!" I said this to my husband and he commented he wonders about the weird things that I focus on.

I mean, never mind the ants (extra protein unless fire ants). How did the pizza get there? Was there a pizza truck accident? Pizza fairies? A like minded Iranian dropped it off as charity?

I realize if I was starving I might eat road pizza with ants, or I probably would not. I hope I never find out.

My favorite though are the telepathic cat partners of the human telepaths who guard the ships in deep space travel from the Rats/Dragons in The Game of Rat and Dragon. One of the great short stories of all time. The cats go out in little craft steered by the humans and swat the controls that send light bombs to kill them because only they are fast enough to do it.
